Ok here a thing with Stefanos, I think he mostly concentrated of clay court tournaments, but his game is more suited for grass. So for me he needed to shift this game and focus more on grass court tournaments as I believed he can win and can dominate it in the next two years. I haven't check the odds but definitely will put some bets on him. Love to see him against Federer again.

I just checked Tsitipas history on grass and it looks very poor. The history quoted is from tennisexplorer page. It seems to me he looses the match on the grass as soon as he faces a solid grass player. I will skip betting on him at least in the beginning and give myself some time to judge if improved his grass game. I am not so sure that his game is suited for grass. Grass is all about the balls staying close to the surface (taking the time from your opponent) and Tsitipas often uses top spin ground strokes which rebound over the opponent shoulder thus making it harder to hit.

19.06.         Tsitsipas S. - Pouille L.    1R    6-2, 7-63    2.43    1.54
  Hertogenbosch    Round    Result    H    A

12.06.         Tsitsipas S. - Smith J.    1R    3-6, 6-3, 6-4    1.27    3.70

Interesting stats you have there, I will do the same and see how well he plays in the lead up tournaments and then maybe see how he goes in the first match at Wimbledon before placing a bet on him. The down side to this is that the odds could come in a little but I think its best to see him play first before betting. I bet on Thiem to win the French Open because I know he is a good player on clay and as I always look for value I like to bet on players that pay the higher odds. Clearly the best players on grass is Federer and Djokovic and Nadal can play well but he isn't as suited as these two players. Another one we can say that is good on grass and that is Kyrgios but its a huge risk betting on him because we don't know if he's mentality to win is switch on.

But for me though Tsitsipas should really concentrate on grass court tournaments. With his height and quickness, he will better fit for those kind of tournaments in my opinion. He has a big serve. Nick Kyrgios? Nah, he is really unstable at this point, not putting any money on him. So let's see what will be the odds for this year, I don't know if there will be some long shot that can win the tournament as the top 3 is still going strong.

I agree with what you say about Tsitsipas and that is I asked about him playing on grass. He does have the right body to play on grass but I guess he just needs to start playing more grass tournaments. Wimbledon will be an interesting tournament this year to see if any of the young talent can reach the finals and maybe even challenge the top players at winning it all. I'll see how the young talent play in the lead up tournaments before placing my bets. I agree with Kyrgios but he is a very good grass court player, that is why I mentioned him.

Kyrgios is special kind of player. When he gets in the grove and everything is going as he thinks it should, he is easily top 5. The problem is his game plan when result isn't in his favor. I watched him many times when he played 2nd serve as first. It is normal for him to strike 3 aces and make 2 double faults in the same game and ends the match with more than 30 aces and often more than 10 double faults. It is very rarely that you see a player which has too much belief in his shots. And that is if we forget all the times he just doesn't feel like playing and starts arguing with half the audience and looses easily against players outside top 100.

Correct, when he is on the zone, Nick is very hard to stop. He really has a lot of potential to be one of the best, but most of the time when the shots is not falling he has someone to play, himself, the umpire the audience and obviously his bad attitude comes into place. If he could just muster that mentality to focus about the game and not the people around him then easily top 5 for me.

I don't know if any of you seen it, but there is really funny (in retrospective) interview with young Nadal circulating around the web. He said that he doesn't really like clay and prefers to play on grass or hard surface. I'll put a link to it later when I get home if I manage to find it again.

I totally agree with both of you, the sad part is we all can see the potential he has to be a top player but he just isn't mentally right. I'm worried that it could be too late once he gets his mind straight and focused on tennis as there are other young guys coming through the ranks which look good. Kyrgios still has time on he's side to get himself sorted out before its too late, it must be within the next year though or he's chance could be gone like Tomic.

I read some articles saying that Nick's favorite sports is actually not Tennis but Basketball. And I have this hunch that is the reason why he didn't f***ing care whether winning or losing in the court. He didn't have that passion, and it looks like he is was going to the motions and just playing for the sake of making money that's why he disregarded everything related to tennis, the umpire, the audience and specially his opponent on the opposite side of the court. I'm glad you mentioned Tomic, they have this similar "bad boy" image and now it seems that Tomic can't recover from that stigma and seems to be on the downward spiral as opposed to be playing his best tennis at his peak age of 25 or 26.

“All I do is count my millions – you try doing what I do!” - LOL, he totally snapped once he was question by the media.

Yeah its a shame because as we all can see Kyrgios has so much potential to be one of the greats. If he only had the passion to play tennis and not the passion for the money he could easily be the next Federer/Nadal and win multiple Grand Slam titles but I'm not sure if we'll ever see this. Yeah I remember when Tomic said this statement as it was all over the news here in Australia, Tomic should just give up the sport and retire if he has so much money.

Anyone been keeping an eye on the grass court tournaments so far? I have been watching the Halle Open as there are some top players playing like Federer, Zverev and a few more. Federer is looking good back on his favourite surface and will be hard to beat in this tournament. Monfils has been the only big name to lose so far.

Yes, Federer looks good during his first round match and beat John Millman. He will be chasing his 10th Halle Open title so obviously he is the favorite in this tournament. He will be facing Tsonga next, so it will be an entertaining match. Zverev is ranked second behind Federer and so far also going into the next round as well and will be facing S. Johnson.

Yeah the Federer and Tsonga match will be interesting to see what kind of form Tsonga is in as we haven't seen the best of him this year and the same can be said about Zverev who also hasn't been in good form this year. I'm just watching to see who is performing well heading into Wimbledon and that's when I'll put a couple of bets on.

^^ I forgot to mentioned that the defending champion is Coric. He is still in the contention after winning a hard fought match against Portugal's Joao Sousa 7-6(4), 5-7, 7-6(4) in a almost 3 hours match. I initially thought that he will be upset here, however, he was able to rise into the occasion. Yes, this tournament will be a good gauge as who will be the performing well before heading into Wimbledon. It can carry their momentum there, if they prove to be good at this surface now.

@Kemarit I did not see this match but after reading about it I feel Coric got very lucky, and he has admitted that this match was not easy. Coric is now going to be up against Herbert it’ll be another interesting match and I feel Coric may win this match too. Though this tournament is not as big as Wimbledon you’re right, winning on grass before heading to Wimbledon will indeed help in building momentum.

Indeed it was really a difficult win for Coric, probably there's some element of luck in there too. I'n about two hours from now, Coric vs Herbert will start so let's see how Coric will do to defend his title. Currently, its Berrettini vs (3) Khachanov and it looks like we might have a upset here, as Berrettini has won the first set 6-2 and will be serving in the second set at 3-3.

Federer is also thru to the next round, winning 7-6(5) 4-6 7-5 against Tsonga in a two hour long marathon match as well. I thought it was going to be an easy win for him, but Tsonga break him in the second set. But he was able to prevail in the last set so his hunt for his 10th title here continues.

Halle Open for Federer is favourite grass tournament (except Wimbledon) so he will definitely try to win it. and now there is no any equal player on grass to beat Rodger.

Federer going into the semi-finals after a hard fought win against Bautista-Agut.  He will now face P. H. who fortunately win after Coric was force to retire in the first set after a back injury (too bad).

As I have mentioned earlier, I smell some upset on Berrettini vs Khachanov, as Berrettini won in straight sets. Also Goffin produce one of the biggest upset so far, beating Zverev in three sets.

Federer said in post interview that he is feeling good as his body is reaching nicely to the surface and still up for this 10th Halle trophy.

So Federer vs P. H. Herbert and the winner goes up against Berrettini  vs Goffin winner for the Finals.

Federer winning his 10th Halle title. He did face Goffin in the finals but Federer was superb in winning the two set match. Kudos to Roger, and he is sending message now, specially that Wimbledon is coming up.

Congrats to Federer on another Halle title. He really surprised me with the ease he dispatched his opponents. If he keeps this level and he should he has a nice chance of winning another Wimbledon title. According to the bookies he is second favorite, first being Djokovic.

If Federer keeps this form, I think he should be top favorite to win Wimbledon. In Roland Garros he played very well and grass is his favorite.
I am also curious about Kyrgios, such a cool player to see  Grin. Extremely talented but can't keep his focus/motivatino and is really free playing most of the time.

BIG WINNER!

The first set was closed though, maybe Goffin gave it all, however, Federer was too much in the second set as he steamroll and never gave him the chance to recoup. Yes, I wasn't able to bet on his one so this is a good win for bettors out there.

@babygun - correct, this match as I have said will be a good leverage for Federer. He says he feels good and we have seen the result as he won his 10th title. He will be one of the top favorites going into the Wimbledon now.

Edit: Andy Murray win's the double titles in the Queen's tournament with Lopez. Good sign that he has regain not just his physical but on the mind as well. So let's see if he is going to enter in a singles tournament now.

Ashleigh Barty will soon to be the women's number 1 rank after winning the Birmingham title.

Yes this is a good sign with Murray and maybe Wimbledon will be he's last Grand Slam which he said he would try very hard to be fit and ready for Wimbledon. I just hope he can at least make the fourth round and maybe even the finals as it would be a shame if he is knocked out in the first round.

Ash Barty is now world number #1 as they awarded her the world number #1 trophy yesterday. For me its good to see an Australian ranked world number #1 again as the last person to do this for Australia was Lleyton Hewitt. Barty has had a set back and will miss the lead up tournament to get fit for Wimbledon which she won as a junior.
