Nice odds for Shapovalov not to win any set.
I missed betting for this match as i know very well that Novak Djokovic will be winning the match easily and he just did that, what was the odds available for Shapovalov not to win any set. I wanted to see the final with Nadal but he was forced to pull out because of injury and Djokovic took home his fifth Paris Masters title and did not loose a set in this tournament. |

As I have expected it, there is no upset here as Djokovic shows why he is still the number 1 tennis player. He really put the pressure on Shapovalov on the first set alone, and Shapovalov was a beat nervous here and the serve of Djokovic is near perfect. I think Djokovic will end up the year as the number 1 player again.
Next will be the Nitto ATP Finals in London.

I think now Djokovic will finish the year ranked number 1 after winning the Paris Masters. Its been an up and down year for Djokovic so for him to finish ranked number is a huge and will give him a lot of confidence going into the new season and the AO where he always plays well.
Ash Barty has also created some history becoming the first world No.1 to win the WTA Finals series since Serena Williams five years ago and the first Australian since Evonne Goolagong Cawley in 1976. Not only that but also the biggest cash prize in tennis history.

Shapovalov did not show any resistance, well at least in the first set Djokovic already blow him off with break point. So that's why Djokovic was able to hold and display superb volley as well. Wasn't able to follow the womens side but that purse, more than $4 mil was the biggest so far. Good boost for tennis in general as it might result to more money purse in the future. |

That's a huge money and Barty deserved to got that the prize also number 1 rank this years, with all the effort she doing, tennis legend Steffi Graff also praised she performance this years. All of the players who held the top rankings are young players early in their 20s and Ash Barty is just 23 years of age and she is the star of this year having won many titles and leading the ranking by a good margin from Karoline Pliskova who is ranked 2 in the list.
