We do have proof that Trendon shavers has very actively monitored and I believe continues to moniter these threads.

You're such a muppet. What pray tell is this proof you have? Show me, impress me, blow me away. This proof.

This sort of shit too, what are you, the aspiring new Meni Rosenfeld? Who taught you that substituting yourself for some imaginary process that doesn't actually exist makes you valuable? Was it Obama?

That shit doesn't work. It doesn't make you valuable, it makes you at most an idiot with a following. Nobody needs to pm you anything, nobody gives a rat's ass about your imaginary "solid proofs" and meaningless attempts to repackage your uselessness and irrelevance into some sort of superficial semblance of importance.

Go do something with your youth, you're wasting it here.

Go do something with your youth, you're wasting it here.

Whot? Can people choose for themselves how to spend their time? Who gave you this moral enlightenment and permission to order anyone around?

Bitcointalk access logs were releases a while back showing hundred of hits on every single PIRATE thread from the IP that Tredon Shavers (or someone using his credentials)  last logged in from in McKinney, Texas.

I just received information that pirate did express an fondness for palladium at the PPT meeting in Las Vegas.  So the info from the skype chat about the hooker and the blow was true or one of the other Vegas participants was trolling me.

You can't assume that one piece of information being accurate means that the rest is.  Even knowing for a fact that pirate spent user funds on hookers and blow wouldn't bring anyone any closer to getting their funds back.  The location of safe deposit boxes, however, is information which can be used for a search warrant if there are reasonable grounds to believe that they hold the proceeds of illegal activity.

To get a search warrant for the safety deposit box would have to imply that a crime was committed.

To imply that a crime was committed some one would have had to file charges.

The sad fact of the matter is that NO ONE filed any charges.

The SEC may or may not still be investigating but it seem then those "investors" or as they now see themselves "co-conspirators" with any material evidence refuse to be interviewed.

Meanwhile we rail and threaten here on our little internet chat board, yet Trendon Shavers remains at large with your liquidated bitcoin.

Bitcoincoiners are clearly very GREEDY and not the smartest lot and Bitcoin is truly a scammers paradise.

Those who invested directly with him can decide whatever they want; they lost only their own coins and have to deal with that.
But those who ran a PPT should do everything in their power to get something done because they are responsible for the money of their investors. In cases like this you see who is a responsible person and who should be labeled as a co-scammer (for profiting from money lend to them). Of course it's easy to understand why no PPT will do anything: because the lost money does not belong to them. They should get a "Scam Supporter" tag because by doing nothing for their clients they support Pirate.
I'm just glad that I never got involved in all this.

You will never get that in this forum.

[10/25/2012 4:25:28 PM] BCB: we need additional info
[10/25/2012 4:25:49 PM] BangkokGuy: What do you want me to ask him? I don't want to be like, grilling him, and making it obvious, y'know?
[10/25/2012 4:26:00 PM] BangkokGuy: Like he's stolen millions, I'm pretty sure the only reason he was boasting was because he was drunk
[10/25/2012 4:27:03 PM] BangkokGuy: What do you want to find out? Name of his hotel?
[10/25/2012 4:27:11 PM] BangkokGuy: I could do that without being suspicious

[10/25/2012 4:28:22 PM] BCB: well here's what we need
[10/25/2012 4:29:02 PM] BCB: there are computer files that he may have that detail all the money he stole and who he sole it from
[10/25/2012 4:29:13 PM] BCB: he probably has them on a server some where

[10/25/2012 4:29:28 PM] BangkokGuy: Ok...
[10/25/2012 4:30:01 PM] BCB: that might be too complicated.
[10/25/2012 4:31:08 PM] BCB: so he just came out an told you he scammed millions of dollars
[10/25/2012 4:31:14 PM] BangkokGuy: Yeah he was like
[10/25/2012 4:31:17 PM] BangkokGuy: "I have the BEST story"

[10/25/2012 4:32:27 PM] BangkokGuy: I could lead him onto the story
[10/25/2012 4:32:34 PM] BangkokGuy: Unless he's like "Nah I don't wanna talk about that"
[10/25/2012 4:32:39 PM] BCB: yea
[10/25/2012 4:32:43 PM] BCB: you have to be careful
[10/25/2012 4:33:05 PM] BangkokGuy: I think it'll be ok, because I had no fucking idea what Bitcoin was, he could see that, I got him to explain it to me VERY slowly
[10/25/2012 4:33:12 PM] BangkokGuy: To be honest I still don't understand the mining thing
[10/25/2012 4:33:28 PM] BangkokGuy: But that's not important, haha, I don't think I ever will
[10/25/2012 4:33:39 PM] BCB: but that's perfect
[10/25/2012 4:33:44 PM] BangkokGuy: Yeah, exactly. He'll never suspect
[10/25/2012 4:33:54 PM] BangkokGuy: That I have been in contact with you
[10/25/2012 4:34:07 PM] BangkokGuy: I'll act like I forgot his name too
[10/25/2012 4:34:14 PM] BCB: this guy is a big swindler
[10/25/2012 4:34:51 PM] BangkokGuy: Typical con artist right
[10/25/2012 4:34:54 PM] BCB: right
[10/25/2012 4:35:18 PM] BangkokGuy: I don't think he'll try and con me though. It's pretty clear I have no money, haha
[10/25/2012 4:35:29 PM] BCB: but's that's good
[10/25/2012 4:35:37 PM] BCB: he need a friend right now
[10/25/2012 4:36:04 PM] BangkokGuy: Yeah he was alone, he cut a pretty sad figure I gotta be honest, that's why I thought he made the whole thing up
[10/25/2012 4:36:18 PM] BangkokGuy: I mean he didn't look sad but he seemed very alone y'know
[10/25/2012 4:37:55 PM] BangkokGuy: Yeah he'll love that, I mean I was kinda like that, not sucking up but it was a great story
[10/25/2012 4:38:08 PM] BangkokGuy: Everyone in the bar was pretty transfixed
[10/25/2012 4:38:13 PM] BCB: plays right into his ego
[10/25/2012 4:38:14 PM] BCB: perfect
[10/25/2012 4:38:17 PM] BCB: so listen
[10/25/2012 4:38:25 PM] BCB: you don't have to understand a thing he says
[10/25/2012 4:38:36 PM] BCB: he will talk abou the block chain
[10/25/2012 4:38:39 PM] BCB: and escrow
[10/25/2012 4:38:42 PM] BCB: and the network
[10/25/2012 4:38:54 PM] BCB: but there are just three thing you need to find out
[10/25/2012 4:39:00 PM] BangkokGuy: Ok
[10/25/2012 4:39:12 PM] BCB: he has funds in two locations
[10/25/2012 4:39:27 PM] BCB: it is said that he sill controls $500,000 in bit coin
[10/25/2012 4:39:35 PM] BCB: we need to know if that is ture

 [10/25/2012 4:40:46 PM] BangkokGuy: That's where he's from
[10/25/2012 4:41:07 PM] BangkokGuy: He also said he has money and platinum in a deposit box in Zurich
[10/25/2012 4:41:29 PM] BangkokGuy: and the cash he is living off is on anonymous debit cards from a Polish bank
[10/25/2012 4:41:38 PM] BangkokGuy: He showed me them, his wallet was full of them
[10/25/2012 4:41:45 PM] BangkokGuy: He said there was 1500 euros on each
[10/25/2012 4:41:59 PM] BCB: very nice
[10/25/2012 4:42:13 PM] BangkokGuy: And he said the money he has in Zurich is in Swiss Franc 1000 notes

[10/25/2012 4:43:09 PM] BangkokGuy: He didn't say anything about still having money in Bitcoin though, so I can find that out for you
[10/25/2012 4:43:24 PM] BCB: that is important
[10/25/2012 4:43:30 PM] BCB: the third think
[10/25/2012 4:43:37 PM] BCB: where is the database or the server
[10/25/2012 4:43:43 PM] BCB: don't use those words
[10/25/2012 4:44:01 PM] BCB: but you have to ask him how he kept track of it all
[10/25/2012 4:44:12 PM] BangkokGuy: and I should try and find out where his server is?
[10/25/2012 4:44:17 PM] BangkokGuy: Like where it is hosted?
[10/25/2012 4:45:16 PM] BCB: basically is a computerized spread sheet that has the name and address and amount of all the money he stole
[10/25/2012 4:45:27 PM] BangkokGuy: Also there were other people at the bar man, he could have traded numbers with them or made friends in some other way
[10/25/2012 4:45:34 PM] BangkokGuy: So I will check that out
[10/25/2012 4:45:42 PM] BangkokGuy: A lot of them know me well
[10/25/2012 4:45:52 PM] BangkokGuy: Not best friends but definitely we know eachother
[10/25/2012 4:45:57 PM] BangkokGuy: From the bar
[10/25/2012 4:46:01 PM] BCB: he's very smart and very clever
[10/25/2012 4:46:10 PM] BCB: I'd not let on to ANYONE that you are part of this
[10/25/2012 4:46:14 PM] BangkokGuy: Ok
[10/25/2012 4:46:23 PM] BangkokGuy: I'll take your advice on that
[10/25/2012 4:46:24 PM] BCB: you have a great story to tell
[10/25/2012 4:46:57 PM] BCB: you've already been incredible helpful
[10/25/2012 4:46:58 PM] BangkokGuy: For real!
[10/25/2012 4:47:09 PM] BangkokGuy: Bringing down an international computer criminal, haha
[10/25/2012 4:47:26 PM] BCB: yes
[10/25/2012 4:47:45 PM] BangkokGuy: Dude like I said, earlier on today, I was like, I'll google that guy
[10/25/2012 4:48:07 PM] BangkokGuy: What was his name again, oh yeah, Trendon Shaversa
[10/25/2012 4:48:13 PM] BangkokGuy: and then I find ALL this shit
[10/25/2012 4:48:14 PM] BangkokGuy: and I'm like "Whoa he's legit"
[10/25/2012 4:48:26 PM] BangkokGuy: Well not legit, haha, very not legit
[10/25/2012 4:48:42 PM] BCB: But he wasn't bullshitting you
[10/25/2012 4:48:48 PM] BCB: he loves to brag about it
[10/25/2012 4:48:49 PM] BangkokGuy: But you know what I mean. I was really surprised. $5m big ones
[10/25/2012 4:50:07 PM] BangkokGuy: Well the only criminals here are Thai, haha. Thai or stupid. Because if you are a white guy caught doing a crime here, you are fucked. Other countries they just deport you, here they send you to their fucking worst prison for 7 years for almost anything
[10/25/2012 4:50:08 PM] BangkokGuy: THEN deport you
[10/25/2012 4:50:16 PM] BangkokGuy: So I'm not scared of him
[10/25/2012 4:50:46 PM] BangkokGuy: I gotta say though he didn't seem like the typical computer geek. I guess they come in all sizes. I would have taken him for like an athletic type or something
[10/25/2012 4:51:26 PM] BCB: there are guy that he was friend with
[10/25/2012 4:51:49 PM] BCB: they he fucked over for hundereds of thousands of dollars

[10/25/2012 4:52:09 PM] BangkokGuy: Otherwise, why would they give him all that money
[10/25/2012 4:52:29 PM] BCB: but that is how it works
[10/25/2012 4:52:59 PM] BangkokGuy: Oh one other thing, I dunno if this helps you, but he paid for all our drinks all night. After we got talking to him. He was buying French wine, which is super expensive here
[10/25/2012 4:53:07 PM] BangkokGuy: Bottles of it, and then sharing. Lots
[10/25/2012 4:53:24 PM] BCB: he has millions in stolen funds and he likes spending it
[10/25/2012 4:53:29 PM] BangkokGuy: Yeah clearly
[10/25/2012 4:53:54 PM] BangkokGuy: He had plenty of cash on him as well. 5000 bhat notes. But he was scruffy as hell, he was wearing shorts and trainers
[10/25/2012 4:54:01 PM] BangkokGuy: What you guys call sneakers
[10/25/2012 4:54:05 PM] BangkokGuy: Like, rough old ones
[10/25/2012 4:54:16 PM] BangkokGuy: That's why I was like "A millionaire would have better shoes"
[10/25/2012 4:54:16 PM] BCB: probbably didn't have time to pack!
[10/25/2012 4:54:30 PM] BangkokGuy: Yeah maybe!
[10/25/2012 4:54:47 PM] BangkokGuy: He could pick up way better shoes than that here though, I guess he is trying to keep a low profile, when he's not had too much to drink
[10/25/2012 4:55:24 PM] BangkokGuy: Dude I'm going to have to get to bed, it's almost 5am here. I'm not working until the afternoon, but still
[10/25/2012 4:55:32 PM] BCB: hang on ...
[10/25/2012 4:55:38 PM] BCB: let me get you some name
[10/25/2012 4:55:42 PM] BCB: one sec
[10/25/2012 4:55:45 PM] BangkokGuy: Ok cool
[10/25/2012 4:58:32 PM] BCB: just have a conversation and try to remember what he says
[10/25/2012 4:58:32 PM] BangkokGuy: I won't
[10/25/2012 4:58:39 PM] BangkokGuy: Yeah I'll keep myself sober

I don't believe he has any Bitcoin left. His IRC conversations seem to show that he believed the only reason the price increased was due to him, so he sold out. He even mentioned something about needing to "secure his cash position" in one of his last communications on here or IRC.

That said, I'm not sure how much stock I put in these confessions from random people that contact you. Is it safe to assume that since this appears to have taken place in October that this guy never got back to you?

Did you forward the chat log to the SEC? They have the resources to check whether he left the country under his own name and whether he's returned, as well as checking whether he stayed at particular hotels.

I think it's incredibly important to remember that we're not a law enforcement agency using confidential informants.  We have no right to ask people to try to obtain additional information for us, especially when we have no idea how Trendon might react if he becomes suspicious of their reasons for asking.  Encouraging people to see this as some kind of exciting game is something we want to avoid, especially if they're encountering him in locations where they have little access to support or protection such as the SE Asian back-packer trail.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

Raise,

There are more conversations.

repentence,

Yes the SEC has the relevant info but they didn't seem interested as it was heresay and any such evidence would be inadmissible.

Yes I too was reluctant to release this info, but now almost 2.5 months later there has been no further communication and I could not locate any corroborating information.   I've begun to doubt these were even real people.   I felt it was time to release it and see if anyone else could make anything of it.

Don't know if it will help but if even one dot can be connected it would be worth it.

Just my 2c.

Even if we can "connect the dots", it's pretty much useless without people being willing to co-operate with the authorities.  I'm not sure there's much you can do to make people more willing to talk to the SEC or other authorities - as you said, it's not "evidence" without that co-operation.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

Thanks for bumping this. Is the SEC contact still communicating? Trendon needs to be extradited if out-of-country.

I sure wish that the moment you thought he was in Bangkok you would have contacted Goat, who is one of the few people to have met him in person, so that he could go to the bar in question, verify it was him, and kick his ass.

Could someone please re-post the SEC contact info here again so we don't have to go looking for it?

I did contact goat.  I don't think he believed me.  He thought I was a FED and didn't trust me (no reason to) so I never gave him the info.
