Will BTC reach $600 during the first month of the new year?

I will say same as most of the people already said that in this December we will not see over 500 $ even there is still one week which is much to see any new high for this year.I think we will see between 450-470 $ over all in this year.

I still do not understand why posters are comfortable to predict BTC price points by using   absolutes.

We should realize that there are no guarantees in bitcoin, and predicting in such ways is very imprecise concerning what is going to occur within about the next week.


More accurate is to view probabilities.

for example, at the moment, there is not much time left in the year, accordingly, I would predict as follows (Bitstamp) BTC prices:

During the remainder of December 2015, there is a


100% chance that we will experience greater than $455 BTC prices

85% chance that we will experience greater than $460 BTC prices

70% chance that we will experience greater than $470 BTC prices


60% chance that we will experience greater than $480 BTC prices


55% chance that we will experience greater than $490 BTC prices


51% chance that we will experience greater than $500 BTC prices


Even though I currently believe that the odds are favorable to reaching greater than $500, I am not going to phrase such prediction as an absolute.

$500 will happen or not, still this is really a good movement of the price. Imagine we back again around this range slowly from shit pump to $500 last rally. We really see a good resistance in every range it floors slowly and not a sudden pump like before.

Yes, but if the event has not yet happened then it cannot be an absolute (even if we tend to talk like that), until after it has already happened.

If I were to talk in terms of absolutes about the future, then I provide the impression that I know all of the material facts (or that I am in control of all of the material variables), which is almost impossible in any market that is interdependent with other markets and also affected by the free will of human beings (that is if you believe in free will... hahahahahaha).  You can include bots in the equation of humanly influenced, too, to the extent that bots are purposefully or mistakenly programed by humans.

Since we are at Christmas it looks like $500 will not appear during December although the rally patternwise looks like it will certainly happen in January instead either way this thread will need to edit its op in a few more days and Merry Christmas

We might hit 500, but I'm going to say probably not. I'm guessing that prices will slowly go down after all these holidays not even sure which way he decides will cause up or down just that the chance for some dramatic movement either way is possible during December.

Yes Im agree with you. This is really a great achievement after sitting to around 220-280 for a long long time. New floor, new bottom, what more will bitcoin will give us next year.

Yes. And bitcoin really kicks out this year from staying to $200 range to what it is up to now. And with the halving coming expect more of bitcoin's performance throughout next year.

I also only look at the long term. However, the reality is that a lot people here only care about short term profits. They want profit right now, and not after 1 year, that's all they are caring about. The price will surely reach $500 again, only not in this month. Let's see what January will bring for us.
