I agree that the price is very stable right now as it is holding the same for the last two week and holding given a flucuation of $10-15~ at the beginning of Christmas time with boxing day and all.
Don't expect anything to happen until the Chinese new year is over.

Not all Chinese thing and activities can manipulate the price unlike before. But anyways we can see the effect of that event during a week when it will occur.

The whales have set their goal on the 500 dollar price for months now.

Stopping before their goal is achieved will not happen.

Stock market just crashed in China today...  600 is not too much!

You are right.
Right now it we have to focus on getting to 500 dollar and then see where it goes.

1 month is too less indeed.
Give it till february and with a 1 or 2 rally's we will see the price breaking resistance at 500 dollar, 550 dollar and even 600 dollar.

I know this was made a while ago, but at this point it just won't happen. I don't think it will be able to move up that fast

As much as I hope that Bitcoin will be able to reach $600 by the end of January, I just don't think that it will happen. I don't think it will be going anywhere before halving. It will probably stay around $450 before halving. Maybe once halving hits, the price of Bitcoin will rise over $1000. That's the dream.

All your stated speculation are somehow has chance to happen but let's point the possible reason.

News really one of the big factors. Because of news, rumors are born. And because of rumors, action was executed. That's why there are major pump and dump happened.

We are on the first week of the first month this year. Bitcoin price is surprising. Remember the big pump, big dump then big recovery in the last months of the year. So $600 or more is possible in this month.

this price can be achieved later but in this first month you can expect to se 1k maybe little over 500 but that is it

Right now my feelings is no. A lot of bad news makes investors scared. With almost a week gone in this year, close to nothing has happened.
I prefer to focus to hold a 400 usd value honestly.

$600 during January? I don't expect that it will. I only say that because with bitcoin I've learned to expect the unexpected. 

As we get closer to the halving, $600 should be easily attained for obvious reasons and higher and higher the closer we get. And if the last halving is any indication, then the price will increase even well after the actual halving. Basically, I'm not worried about the price not increasing. And if it does crash at any point, I'll be ready for that too.

Looking at the trend in the past 10 days, I think it is going to be a quite month.
I will be happy if we come close to $500.
