Yeah that's true, he played 74 games with 27 ppg, 14 rebounds and 8 assists per game as a center. In a league where guards and wings became a lot more important, that dude realized that he has to play in a different type of way to help his teammates because it is not the big guys league anymore to just post up and try to score with that moves, he could pass and score a lot more efficiently by being a Point Center and he became that.

I think Embiid is a bit more closer to old ones but a lot quicker but he didn't play as consistently. The league definitely feels a lot better right now thanks to these big guys and we can watch them play like MVP players again.

Yep, and without Jamal Murray and Porter, he was really showing us what a true center and then some could be. Putting up good numbers, probably in the top 5 of all statistical categories. But his impact could be that not big this season if both Murray and Porter are going to play. But still for sure the main goal of the team is to reach the finals in the West with the healthy big 3 of the Nuggets and not the individual awards that Jokic is gong to win.

The Lakers could actually get a better role players if they really want to get rid of WB. But they could also run the same roster next season. Same goes with the Nets. They're just making their roster became complicated lol.

It's not complicated if it will benefit both teams. As you said, the Lakers can get better role players if they will trade Westbrook, or on the other hand, Brooklyn Nets will trade Kyrie Irving. And even if these players mentioned will not be traded, still, they are both not new to the system of their respective teams.

Where's the complicated part if the return is good, if those are traded, or if not traded, they will be used on the system.

Even if there's a trade that will happen or not involving Westbrook and Irving, doesn't really matter at all in terms of overall roster performance unless the trade is obviously not balanced and not worth it which I doubt will happen though in the first place.

I guess LeBron can break Kareem's record this upcoming season anyway, as he only needs to score 1,326 points to break it. So if LeBron can score an average of 30 points per game and doesn't miss any games due to injury, he will be able to break that record by the 44th game of the upcoming season. In that case, it will happen on January 16 during the home game against the Rockets.

Yes, that is a realistic thing to achieve next season by Lebron James. Of course, the only thing that will prevent that from happening is being sidelined for more games because of common reasons such as injuries. LBJ also not showing any big signs of slowing down yet that's why achieving 1,326 points should not be that hard for him to reach this season.

Say all the hate to him but being the Top 1 NBA All-Time Points Leader is an insane record that is hard to achieve. There's no player right now that might be closed on doing that in the next 5 years or even a decade.

This is insane lol.

Can the Lakers afford to deal now that they just extended Lebron for 2 more years and spent 97 million dollars? I think the nets roster is gonna be different next year but i'm not sure if it will be KD or Kyrie that leaves.

Yeah, we forgot about that as well as we focus on him solely being competitive in the next 2 years to be able to play with his son on the league.

But the effect on it, being healthy next season, it doesn't matter when he is going to break it, what matters is how many he. can play this season and be able to sustain it throughout. If he can't beat the record this season, fine, there is the next and for sure it's just a matter of time before he can break that once untouchable record of Kareem. Just like when Russell Westbrook broke the big O record when we thought no one can touch it.

The Nuggets manage to clinch in the playoffs last season even though they only have Jokic as their all-star. That shows how efficient and great Jokic is. Well, he got 2 back-to-back MVP's which he deserves right? Smiley.

I agree with what you said that his impact will be bigger if Murray and Porter will come back. The problem I see with Porter is his injuries which he already had even though he got drafted. Murray as we all know got injured in one of the final games in the regular season against the Warriors. With them coming back, the burden with Jokic will be lessen and he will have reinforcements to help him. If they will come back, Jokic might turn into a pass-first player instead of a scoring first like what he is doing a few years ago. Let's also take note that in the bubble, they manage to win 2 1-3 deficits against the Jazz and the Clippers so we know that the Nuggets are capable of reaching the Conference Finals or even the Finals. With good role players, I think that they can do it but it will be hard because of how star-studded the Western Conference.

It's Jokic consistency that really put him in the MVP race, if my memory serves me right, Joel was the front runner midway, but when he suffers a injury, Jokic takes over. So if those guards are just going to be consistent and injury free, I think they will have a good chance to win the MVP this year. If will be another close one, Kawhi and even Paul George could be in the discussion as well, or even Jokic's team mate Jamal Murray could also be inserted if he just continue what he left off prior to his injuries.
Oh, forgot about that partner of Jokic, Jamal Murray. Yes, he might be in the discussions as well, he might be itching to play with the MVP and who knows if he can snatch it from his teammate.  Cheesy
Jokic is always not the favorite to win the MVP, but in the end he still win the award, he already won back to back MVP award, so I would not be surprised if he still wins the same award this season. Well, I hope that stars will be healthy especially Leonard as that would make his team interesting to watch.
Yes, it's true. The prediction on who will be the winner gets more interesting if all will be playing in a healthy body. Clippers had Powell back to playing again and there's John Wall. One of the formidable teams now (if at full health) is the Clippers with a second team also capable of winning a game.
Does this trade would likely to happen or nah? The Nets and the Lakers are like pursuing or not the trade back and forth.
It's a nah, imo.
The reasons will be with how the Nets are looking for more even at a good offer. So no, it won't happen. What the management said about the "win now" trade is true according to their own actions.

Yeah, if they can stay healthy. These players are also injury-prone. Kawhi has not played for a long time. It will take some time before his body returns to its competitive form again. It is interesting to watch them when they are healthy. Hopefully, they can claim a ring this season now that Kawhi is playing again.

Can the Lakers afford to deal now that they just extended Lebron for 2 more years and spent 97 million dollars? I think the nets roster is gonna be different next year but i'm not sure if it will be KD or Kyrie that leaves.
They can if they let go of Westbrook. A big chunk of their budget is getting eaten by Westbrook's contract. So, it will even out if they trade Westbrook to Kyrie.

I do not know if the Nets will ever find a trade for these players. Their asking price is way too high for other teams to afford, unless the other teams are desperate to get Kyrie or Durant. I think these two will remain nets.

Yeah, if the Lakers really want Irving, they will need to trade Westbrook anyway. However, the problem is that the Nets aren't particularly interested in Westbrook, which means the Lakers need to find a third team who will agree to be part of the deal and want Westbrook with such a huge contract. Honestly, I doubt any other team would be willing to participate in a deal like that.

Maybe they are interested of Davis, however, I don't think the Lakers would let go of Davis and keep Westbrook, so in short, this trade is not going to happen as they don't agree with the terms. Safe to say that Irving will stay as a Nets and will help the team together with Durant to win a championship.

No, they will not let go of Davis. It was clear that Davis will be their main man this season just like how they run it in Disneyland. Maybe both Lakers and Nets should give their trio another run. It may not end so badly this time. The key to the Lakers is that Davis remains healthy. If he does, their trio is a monster. The Nets, maybe there will be no more drama, and their trio can work together to get their own championship.

Maybe they are just waiting for Simmons to improve, their deficiency last season was their defense, and we know that Simmons is a great defensive player, so they would already solve their problem as long as Simmons is healthy which for sure he is next season. They have to be patient, give it a time, Harden is out but they have Simmons who is also a superstar.

I doubt it that they'll let go of Davis too. He's one of the main components of the team and LBJ would highly suggesting it that they shouldn't let go of him.

I'm still looking for those news if they'll take Irving and if there's a chance that they'll take a player from the Nets, it should be Irving and not Durant.

Davis and Westbrook both have a problem. Davis is injury prone, while Westbrook is inconsistent, so if they could solve that problem then maybe once again the Lakers will become a championship team. Right now, the top favorites in the past season are struggling, and they are not anymore the favorite to win now.

Most likely they will keep Davis, remember that there were news about two weeks ago that Davis will be the first option and they want Westbrook to be a corner 3 shooter. And then Lebron distributing the ball, so that will be their initial plan.

So I don't see Davis being in the trade block for Lakers, most likely it will be Westbrook first. But since there is no news already and it seems to die down, maybe there will be not trade, Westbrook staying in Lakers and then Irving with the Nets.

I think it's the opposite.  I think his impact could be even bigger with Jamal back running the point.  Teams were focused in on jokic with mp and Jamal out, now they can't.  He might not get as high as numbers as he's had.  But his actual impact can only get better with better players on the floor with him.

Yeah, and it's up to the voting panel on how they are going to see Jokic's contribution that now, Jamal Murray and Michael Porter is going to play. He might have more assists, but for scoring, maybe it will dip because both Murray and Porter might take the bulk as well. So let's see if Jokic can make it 3 in a row, as I have said, it's better to win or even advance as far as the finals with their won version of big 3 in the West.

That's why that trade is not going to be realized, Nets are giving up big time players whose consistency is still at the highest level, while Westbrook's statistics have significantly dropped since last season.

You can check the difference.

The problem with Westbrook is he really didn't give much outstanding performance which many fans expect. And he is now the target of bashing then blame him every game they lose so maybe he was so affected with it mentally that's why we see his games so broken. For sure for his past performance many teams will doubt to get him because they might get the same issue with him.
