Whether Kevin Durant takes a pay cut or not, I just believe that he needs to leave the team. Because this team started to seem not promising to me. They had a huge difficulty in qualifying for even the playoffs. They still failed big time in many games when they had Durant and Irving both in the starting five. Nets had better make some changes in the team. Of course Durant's departure would weaken the team in terms of scoring especially but it is up to them to find an alternative. Durant can be more successful in a decent team.

Not sure about this. Even though Kyrie have a great run with Lebron during their Cavaliers days, Irving doesn't like to work under the shadows of Lebron James and that makes him consider switching teams. Kyrie wants to establish a team and carry it to the top with him as the star player.

If he will go to the Lakers next season and will change his behavior of having too much pride, he might be effective to pair with Lebron James and Anthony Davis. He just needs to play at his best without the purpose of defeating and dominating his own teammates.

Let's see if Harden is just all talk as he said he's gonna get the ring now with his new form. That's quite of a word but everyone of them has got that inspiration and boosting words for themselves to show the fans.

James Harden already proved that he is one the best consistent players in the league. Averaging good stats per season consistently. But for championship goals, it should not just him to do the heavy loads but he should have some good teammates too that will accompany him on that goal. Joel Embiid is a good duo for him and always consistent too at monster stats. Sixers have to do their best to surround their key duos with good teammates.

He's proven himself as an individual but unlike any other good players, they've got the ring but him, not yet. That's what he needs to achieve for the remaining seasons of his career.

You're right that a championship isn't just all about one player but it's a combination with the help of other teammates that has the same goal as him.

There's still three months left before the regular season starts. What's catching for those remaining months are the transfers and trades and nothing that much interesting for now aside from the hype buzz for KD.

Define decent team? The standard is the Warriors based on what you're saying since KD failed in the other two teams he has been into. OKC was decent in my opinion but he still decided to run and join the splash brothers to complete a splash family hehe. Wiggins already unleash his full potential and the good thing was he was still on his prime.

Allowing him to continue what he was done to help the team last season will bring them a possible another title,
so with Poole who also growing in terms of skills, a young version of Chef and already gaining confidence playing
with the entire core, keeping them together will allow them to bring more title to GSW.

Phoenix cannot afford Durant now that they resigned Ayton. Utah is still a possibility, but I doubt Durant has interest in Utah once they trade Donovan Mitchell. Miami may be the only suitor for Durant if they could get a deal done that doesn't include Jimmy Butler or Bam.

I imagine one of the main reasons Kyrie left the Cavs was that he didn't want to be the ""shadow of LeBron James"" but to be the star player of the team!

If Irving really goes to the Lakers and he ""accepts"" being one of the team's best players (and not the top 1).
I will have no doubt about the Lakers can be a strong candidate to be champions in the next season. (Of course, some variables need to happen, for example, LJ and AD remain on the team).

The Warriors won a title without Durant while Durant can't win a title if he isn't with the Warriors so what is the purpose on the first place why the Warriors are pursuing Durant. I believe that they are just following the hype but they really are just trolling so yes let's remove Warriors in the teams where Durant might get landed because the Warriors already said that they are happy with how the team is built currently. Still curious which team will get Durant though.

Speaking of Warriors, I read an article online regarding Wiggins and Poole. The Warriors at first is saying that they are keeping both players but that would be expensive. Here is what an analyst said:

“They are expected to sit down with Poole soon to discuss an extension,” Letourneau wrote. “Whether one gets done, though, will depend on just how much money he asks for. If he wants at or near the max, the Warriors might prefer to let things play out and wait until he hits restricted free agency in 2023.”

“By waiting, the Warriors give themselves more options,” he wrote. “Perhaps Wiggins struggles and can be had next summer at a lower rate. Perhaps the Warriors decide they can’t keep both Wiggins and Poole, so they start looking into trade packages involving Wiggins.”

Well, kinda not a good move, but still Durant would be a great addition to GSW. However, it may require to include Wiggins or Poole to the trade package if they pursue for Durant. If the warriors doesn't want to reconstruct their current roster to try to fit in Durant, then they'll just have to stick to what they have right now because like what you said, they just brought a championship. So, yeah most likely Durant will end up to one of those team you mentioned.

After having a wonderful season and reaching even the finale, I'm going to wonder what Boston Celtics will do in the new season. They were so close to win a championship after a break of so many years. However Warriors didn't let them do it. If Celtics don't make too big changes in their system I still believe that they can make it sooner or later. But their job is still going to be difficult of course. I wonder if they are thinking of changing some of the players in their roster. I hope the changes wouldn't be for their best players.

They also have their trio consisting of Brown, Smart, and Tatum. It's just a matter of time before they take that championship. They are young, and skillful but lack experience. Now they have it, a lot of it, playoffs and Finals experience. All they need is to increase the level of intensity and add more roleplayers that will help the trio.
Plus they have a high defensive center, RWIII.
What they are missing may be a point guard, or a playmaker to avoid too many isolations plays whenever they are being cornered.

They do not have to make any drastic changes in their line up. Their starting is very young aside from Horford. That is good core and now they have an experience in the finals, they will develop more. An adjustment could bt to let Al Horford be on bench and put someone younger but equally talented to take his place in the starting line up. They do not have to trade Horford but keep him to keep the team anchored since they need a veteran guidance.

They actually do not need Durant in their squad. They already have good chemistry and their trio is good for a few more years if there are no major injuries happening to them. And I like how they develop their young athletes that could replace their current Trio in the future. Getting Durant means throwing away the work they have done with their young athletes away.

I wouldn't say no players would take cuts, I mean Durant took a cut when he was playing for Warriors and he even took a cut from his shooting as well, in other teams he played before he got there, (OKC) he was shooting a lot more and he was given the green light to shoot anytime he just wants to, nobody ever questioned him, back in the warriors he wasn't like that, he shot a lot less, and his points per game dropped a lot because he was with other players who scored a lot as well.

So, he took a cut, but also played less. All in all, if you want to be with other superstars then you are going to have to take a cut and get paid a bit less but you would have a higher chance to win.

Well, it will surely depend on what a player wants if he doesn't want to cut off his salary then expect a limited number of good players on the team, if he wants a ring then he needs to sacrifice a bit of his salary, just like Harden, James Harden really want to get something in what he'd sacrifice and I really like that in him, he will want his legacy to be build up more than the money he will receive, for now how I wish they could get players that are suitable on Embiid and Harden's play style,

For me, I really like what they did, and especially what Bob Myers has said that they are good with their current line-up right now, and if that is not something for the Nets or Kevin Durant to be upset and I don't really know what, for me getting Kevin Durant will likely get them nowhere again, they are good management that can surely train young guns to explore their talent and potential and I think the Golden State Warriors want their own diamond to be chipped,

This is definitely not a good idea. As far as I know, the Celtics don't want to trade Tatum, but they might as well offer Jaylen Brown and three first-round draft picks(+ two swap picks) for Durant. As for me, it would be a strange and stupid decision by the Celtics' management, given that Brown has been very useful to the team, especially in the playoff series. Also, I can't imagine Durant and Tatum playing together. In that case, Tatum would obviously be in Durant's shadow.

Base on the article of ESPN, here is the constructed package for the Boston Celtics.

The Celtics consider All-NBA forward Jayson Tatum off limits in any trade talks, but Boston is able to construct a package for Durant that could include Brown and as many as three unprotected first-round picks (2025, 2027 and 2029) -- and two pick swaps (2024 and 2026).

So they are including Brown in the trade deals plus some draft picks.

Durant + Tatum? I don't know if it's only me but I think they can fit with each other. Tatum is already a good passer and he showed it in the past playoffs and Durant? Nothing to say about him but he is one of the best shooters in the world. If this trade will be done, the Celtics might be the favorite in winning the championship next year. The question is, the Nets want this trade or they might add some bench players like Grant Williams or Theis or another player/s.

On the other hand because it is taking a long time for Kyrie and KD to get traded, there is also a chance that they might stay in Nets like you said though I don't think that it is a good idea for the Nets management so it would be better if they will just trade them and find another set of players and maybe rebuild.

Looks like they really want that championship and it seems like this is the only way for them to get it also Boston Celtics are not only into the vision of a championship rather, but they also making money here when they gonna acquired Kevin Durant and it seems like he still can bring big market value to the team than those players traded for him. Though Boston can go back to the finals again, they will surely struggle to win the championship because GSW is on other levels.
