I'm glad I am not seeing too many Lakers and Westbrook trades recently. The main attention now is on KD and Mitchell. Whoever takes these 2 superstars in exchange for a lot of future draft picks will play major roles next season. Mitchell though is not that good defensively but he is young and is still learning. And KD when put in a good chemistry team can still play at the top level.

So far I'm hearing the Miami Heat is on the move targeting either KD or Mitchell. I hope the Heat acquires either one of them.

And there's the Phoenix Suns trying to capitulate aging CP3, who's still playing at the top level. They might sacrifice a lot of its future draft picks for a ring which I also agree.

If the Heat would want their team better, they should sign Durant instead of Mitchell. Although Mitchell is a superstar but he does not have a championship DNA and has not proven anything yet as Jazz under his leadership has not reach the NBA finals yet.

Dragic is old already and If I'm not mistaken, I've read somewhere that the Bulls get him to somewhat have a veteran presence to help Ball. At least somewhat who can guide him to say the least.

As far as seeing 2 Warriors, yeah, I'm not surprised, both Otto Porter and GPII really help them in winning another ring and it was good to see those two getting the money they deserved.
So that was it. Veteran perspective. It was not said in the article because they are praising what he contributed during his Nets career.
But as far as I can remember he was not really that effective anymore so being a veteran in one team using his experience would best match what is needed from him.
As of the other players, I'd agree they are the ones who are underrated that will be a game changer.

The latest word is that Mitchell may be headed to the New York Knicks. Although I can’t imagine the Knicks landing a player like him.

The more time that passes, the more I think we might actually see KD in Brooklyn next year with Kyrie and Ben Simmons. I don’t think the Nets will trade just one without the other, so all eyes are on what the Lakers will do with Russell Westbrook.

That's probably what will happen because the Nets are asking too much for the trade, so they could just keep the two but not sure they'll be the same Kyrie and KD we saw last season, hopefully there are some improvement.

so all eyes are on what the Lakers will do with Russell Westbrook.
I don't expect a major changes from Westbrook, I think he will be the same WB we saw last season.

Not sure if that's a good move for Miami, both KD and Mitchell are not willing to adjust to the team. They both have that mentality

that they are the alpha and knowing how Miami works with Butler and Bam, these two bros are the core and Miami needs to surround players

who are capable of adjusting with how they play the game, unless Miami is willing to let go one or both of them on these possible trade packages.

If I'm Pat Riley, I'd rather keep the current core players of the team and forget about Durant. Mitchell? Many are saying that he will go to the Knicks right? I don't see him fit to Miami as well and I'm thinking if he will go there, which players will the Heat give to the Jazz just to get him or maybe a trade between three teams is possible but I don't see him fit well to the Miami.

As for Durant going to Miami, I'd rather keep Butler and Bam because for sure if they will get Durant, one of them will be traded to the Nets. Butler can carry the team better than Durant and we've seen it multiple times already in the Bubble and even last playoffs. TBH, there is a higher chance that Durant will be staying with the Nets unless the Nets because only a few teams only want KD in their team right now that is why he is still in the market until now after few weeks of finding a team for him to be traded with.

Same thought. I don't like the idea of putting a superstar in the midst of players that are trying to be superstars themselves.
Butler especially and there's Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo.
I think what the Miami Heat management is trying to do is patch things up with the error they made upon giving Duncan Robinson a max 5-year contract which they haven't maximized because his defensive skills are not good.
He was overrated at his offensive power during his 2018-2020 run but we didn't see that last season. Coach Spo sat him down for most of their playoffs game.

No, I didn't forget him, but he left Sacramento in 2001. And it was Mike Bibby who took over as the point guard in 2002 wherein they battle Lakers up to game 7, an epic playoff series, went into OT in the Kings homecourt. One of those era's wherein it was still very physical, lots of trash talking everyone went very hard and the rivalry.

And a controversy that Sacramento might win that game but ended up losing because of the game fixing issue.

They are claiming that the officiating refs helped the Lakers to win that WCF playoff. It was all over the news back then, if ever, that
social media outlets are something like how it was very influential like now.

There might be something that can be contest or request for a recall, though reviews are available but the power of social media
way back is not that huge, unlike now, where the call of the fans can be considered.

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving haven't left the team yet but they are likely to do so this summer. I don't know if Nets really need a big change in their roster now. However they weren't successful in the previous season too. Irving missed many games though but they still struggled when he was back. Both of these players aren't eager to stay longer according to some news sources. Honestly I would like to watch Kevin Durant at Suns or Heat. I think the same for Irving at Lakers beside Lebron.

The drama is still continuing with KD as whether he will be traded or stay in the Nets for at least this season if there is no viable team for him. Yes, we've heard that he is interested with Phoenix and now the Heat, but we shall see.

The Heat will have to overhaul their roster as for sure there will be good players that will be involved in the trade if Pat Riley will pursue KD and it's going to be a risk for them, just like what the Nets did when they get him from the Warriors.

There's no way they're staying with the Nets as they already showed lack of interest to continue playing with that team. The Nets might be in a huge discussions now on how they can rebuild their team coz this is gonna be a very rare opportunity to demand all they can because they have 2 of the most high valued player in the league. It's gonna be a huge regret if they take the wrong trade.
I am already expecting before the season starts, Kyrie and Durant will both be out of the Nets.

Of course, the Nets will find a way to trade them but they will also get the value they wanted in a trade, if not, they will allow Durant and Irving to play because that is their job, and if they will not play hard, well, you know what the organization would say and they might have a problem with the team. I believe the management could suspend them and will not pay them on the games they don't play.

So far I'm hearing the Miami Heat is on the move targeting either KD or Mitchell. I hope the Heat acquires either one of them.

If the Heat would want their team better, they should sign Durant instead of Mitchell. Although Mitchell is a superstar but he does not have a championship DNA and has not proven anything yet as Jazz under his leadership has not reach the NBA finals yet.

The Knicks have the best package for him but Danny ainge is trying to fleece them.  The Knicks have like 12 firs round picks in the next 7 or so years.  Ainge wants like 6 or 7 first round picks PLUS our youth in grimes, iq and obi.  I hope new york hung up on him immediately.  As a knick fan I'd love donovan but we'd have an incredibly small backcourt in mitchell and brunson, and losing all that capital, nah.  I'd run the squad as is and keep building.  Ainge is off his rocker.

On the one hand, I agree that the Heat should improve the roster, and Kevin Durant would still be a priority target for their management. On the other hand, the Heat have already had good results in the playoffs over the past few seasons, and it means that the Heat management would obviously be making a big mistake if they decided to trade a lot of role players just for Durant.

The East is a tough competition right now with Celtics stars at their peak and Bucks still a force to reckon. But you are right, it just does not feel right to throw away your built chemistry and role players for Durant. And Nets will not let go of Durant without getting the value they want.

Meanwhile in Philadelphia, seems that James Harden is really inclined to have his first ring this coming season because he's really trying to bring all the assets that the team needs to enhance their chances this time.
He said in a statement that he's not the same James Harden anymore, he's completely new and different. There's something with those words and he's really gonna be focusing on taking this season's ring. No offense to him as he's an MVP before but other teams are also strong and have the same goal as him.
Just as they say, "may the best team win".

Yes, the teams in the NBA now are quite packed with talented young athletes which will be also the next face in the NBA in the few years to come when LBJ and other players of the same age will start retiring.

James Harden still has a chance because he's still approaching his mid-30s and he got more edge than the younger teams because he got more experience. He should also improve his performance this coming season and bring into action what he said so that Embiid and Maxey's talent won't be in vain.
Yeah, he can still get a ring and he's no doubt really a talented player and one of the best. The other great players have already proven themselves being one or being with the other talents pushing up their teams to the top and even taking a ring. I know that he can do it also and wish him the best because it's one of the achievements of every NBA player, to get a championship title. He's still got more time and really eager to take one of the rings so, those motivations and words is what makes it more exciting because all of them aims for that.
He just have to improve more to increase his production than the last 2 seasons he had and he also have to learn how to trust his team now which I think now he's already that confident that the Sixers can help him achieve that dream. Embiid is also serious in taking his first title, a big man with big dreams and will do every lifting he could just to make the team cross the other end.

Just let the man prove his worth this upcoming season because we saw that he was clearly struggling and he is not averaging the same figures that he did a few years back but there's a reason for that, as we know, the NBA changed some rules so that Harden cannot have many free throws he wanted because he's using fouls to make free points unguarded.
Anyway, let's see what is the improvement of the 76ers this time.
Harden is the type of player that never won and played very well, and there are many like that. The most famous one is Utah Jazz back in the day with Stockton and Malone, they never won a ring, hell even when Malone went to three-peat Lakers just to win a ring, they still ended up losing that year.

Westbrook and CP3 are also in the list of valuable players along with Harden who don't have a ring until now, I think these 3 mentioned names are the remaining players in their generation who haven't got a ring that is still playing up to present and the rest had already also retire without it. Now, I'm kind of curious which of these 3 has the most chances to win its first ring before they retire? Mine is CP3.

Those 3 names mentioned above do belong to a heavy teams in the league, the competition has gotten tight and I'm looking forward that at least one of them can grab a title.

Well because the tberwolves gave up 4 or 5 first round picks for gobert he is looking for the same or more for donovan.  Can't blame the guy but dam that along with our young players pretty much means you are all in.  And with that squad it's not like they will be title contenders every year now.  Would be a solid starting 5 though
