Really surprised that book landed #1 over those other people.  Some people can land in other categories like Luka and steph over in pg spot, Tatum as a sf.  But if they are all lined up together under the sg spot I think I'm taking 4 or 5 guys before I take book.

For me Booker is one of the most overrated players in the league actually.
Seeing him on top of all these players seems a little off. Also looking at the roster now, playing with KD and Beal, this will mean less shots for him as well.

Anyway, most of these lists made in the preseason are garbage anyway. Somebody has too much time creating this stuff so people can discuss about it.

I’m not a big Booker fan either but he can definitely shoot. I don’t think he’a a top tier player but I think he’ll be leading the Suns this year. KD might be the best player but it’s Booker’s team they all came to play for so I think they’ll show him the respect he deserves and let him lead the team in shots. I’m not a big fan though.

So nice to see Ben Simmons balling out in the preseason.

I would agree that he is one of the most overrated players, I mean yeah he can shoot but can he lead his team? He loves to trash talk but when it comes to playoff, he suddenly disappear and he can't back up everything what he says, just like in their series against the Dallas Mavericks.

So let's see if he can still be the alpha of Phoenix as obviously there is Durant and to some extent Bradley Beal.

No question that Booker can score, and if I'm not mistaken, there were games that Booker has a shooting streak, scoring 40 points++. But he was not consistent though, so yeah I think he is overrated.

And he is on top and second is Steph Curry? you gonna be kidding me? So the GM thinks that Booker is better that Steph? Not sure what those guys are smoking. Even if those are GM though, you have to take everything with a grain of salt. And it seems that this is another report that majority of them got it wrong again as like the previous years.

We should be able to get a look at Giannis and Damian Lillard together for the first time this weekend as the Milwaukee Bucks face off against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. I’m not sure what I’ll have to do to see some of this game but I’ll be trying. I’m sure they won’t get many minutes, but we’re certain to get a glimpse at what they can do. 

A glimpse maybe, but I doubt that they'll show it in the pre-season.

I mean they can do it a few times since many teams are already expecting that these duo of Giannis and Dame will do the Pick and Roll most of the time, but I believe there are some things that they will only show once the regular season starts. Just for context as well, Dame has the highest points in Pick and Roll meaning he's more efficient in PnR.

So the GM is putting the Celtics and the Nuggets tied to win the NBA trophy for this year. I think I will agree with them, I mean Celtics upgrading their roster, although they lost Marcus Smart, they got Holiday and KP. While the Nuggets are the defending champion and they still have the best center and most likely another MVP candidate year for Jokic. And then the Bucks getting Dame.

Booker though, has been voted against for the best shooting guard and hopefully he can live up to the expectations for this year and bring Phoenix with Kevin Durant to the finals.

I don't know, but why they are putting the Celtics in the top spot each year in the teams who will win the title. Last year, they're at the top 5, lost against the 8th seeded Miami Heat. 2 years ago, they're one step behind from winning it as they lost against the Warriors. Now they're picking them again because? I'm not against the fact that the Celtics are one of the favorites to win the title, but what I'm against is that, they're at the top spot - tied with the Nuggets in winning it.

How about the Bucks? The Warriors? The better Lakers? Let's remove Philly as they're in a shitty situation right now. Nuggets can do it again TBH, but the Celtics? I don't even think that they can defeat the Bucks if these 2 teams will face the NBA conference Finals. Maybe if Brown will learn how to dribble using his left hand then there's a chance for them.

Did he broke records already? Correct me, but I don't think he done any of that. Who's the player who did all of that? Stephen Curry, and look how many percent he got. 10%?? That's ridiculous if you will ask me. I don't see any reason why Booker is at the top over Curry. Well, maybe it's either they're biased, or they just hate Curry.

The Suns looked pretty dominant in their win over the Portland Trailblazers. Ayton looked good early with a couple of big plays and a monster dunk. The Suns just have a whole lot of shooting talent that makes it difficult for anyone to match up against them. I think they’re going to be one of the best shooting teams in NBA history this year.

Kai Jones got waived after running his mouth a lot. He said he should have gotten more minutes and he was better than anyone in that team, and when you say that to media, that means that you are going to end up getting disliked. He requested a trade, and they did him one better, they waived him, now he is free to choose whichever he wants to go to and we are going to end up seeing him not be picked by any team at all.

No team would want someone who is not as talented as he think he is, and then get nothing in return of the headache that he will cause. Lebron supporting Israel created some social media buzz as well, there are a lot of fans who are pissed, I think any player who says anything about a political situation would definitely be aware of the clap back they are going to get, no matter what the topic is.

There’s a good game on tv tonight as the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Golden State Warriors on ESPN 2. I doubt it will be too competitive a game but we’ll probably get a quarter or two of play from the big names. This is probably one of the better matchups this preseason and a good one to watch before the season kicks off.

Oh and Booker grew a beard, no more Mr. Cutie-Clean-Face, it actually looks nice to him, and looks more mature.
KD's first play was an assist to Nurkic inside the paint for an and1, somehow it tells us something will be different. This will be a dangerous Phoenix Suns, they don't need a shooting center because three of them are good at it, they just need him to wait in the paint while they spread the floor and give him an opening just like what Durant did.

But I won't underestimate the Trail Blazers yet. Let's see how they will play the regular season and honestly, I am excited at how it will work out for their young roster combined with Ayton. They are rebuilding like how the Jazz did it but it would also be great to see them somewhere near the 8th rank or in the play-in if ever they can work out their chemistry faster.

Bron accuracy is in the perimeter shot is not that good anymore as well as his dominance in the paint. I believe his age is already slowing him down so his teammates need to step up big time if they want to win championship. He is not the Bron before that can carry the team single handedly.

I think they have the best shot last year to win the title if only Anthony Davis become more active on getting the ball to dominate the paint since he is very effective when he is active contributing. His on and off game makes Lakers short against Nuggets while they already beat GSW which is very tough opponent too that time.

I agree book is gonna get his looks this year.  I'm shocked if this is a true eye test from all the NBA gms.  I mean they are tuned into pretty much every player since they have to be so I wonder while the fans certainly wouldn't have these rankings the way they are what they see.  Book is a top player for sure, Suns will have an interesting year so maybe he starts climbing those charts just don't see him there yet.

I’ve watched Booker play a lot as I’ve lived in Phoenix his entire career. From my point of view, Booker is one of those guys that destroys average talent day in and day out. He can average 30 if he wants to. The problem with him is that you put him up against good players like Luka Doncic, and he fails to live up to what you’d expect.

I think they have mitigated the risk on Davis by getting a young and legitimate center in Jaxson Hayes and he shines with Lebron during pre season game. And I think it's a good move by Rob Pelinka to get Hayes to be their center.

As far as Lebron, yeah, he has some injuries throughout his career, but nothing defining that really cause him to slow down. He can still dunk the ball hard as he used to. So I see him as still a legit contender and can bring another ring for the Lakers this season.

What's really catching my eye here is Wemby - this guy is something special. He's already dropped 21 points, and there's still over 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. I get it, it's just preseason, but from what he's showing, it's crystal clear he's going to be a major asset for the Spurs. And mark my words, as long as he keeps healthy, he's going to give the Spurs a run for their money this season.

I think they are still looking at the possibility that Lebron can still play and so is Davis. And with the roster upgrade and then they still retained Austin Reaves, there are a lot of hope that maybe the Lakers can still squeeze this season and move to the playoff and then they will have to see who will be their opponents and make the adjustments. They have a solid lineup and for sure the likes of Reaves, Rui, D'Lo, Vando has learn a lot for their previous playoff run.

Yes, it could be the first time that we will see a father and son in the NBA. And hopefully after a scare, Bronny is going is fit to play maybe in the next 2 years at least and be drafted on the NBA (might be good if it is still Lakers as his father is there).

They won, and he finished with 23 points. However, it's worth noting that his turnovers were quite high. This could be a concern in the regular season when the defense might be more physical. Although his turnovers might be somewhat overshadowed by his high point total, being the leading scorer, any weaknesses in this area could potentially be exploited by opponents.

Exactly, coaches give some minutes to star players to show up for the sake of the fans but it isn't the actual minutes that they've got each time
they play in the regular season.

More on preserving them and preventing the chances of unnecessary injuries, I think also that pre-season is more on exhibition type of game.

We will see teams to excel during the actual season or more to expect when playoff starts knowing that the real rush will be on that
stage of the league.

Booker being acted like he is a big player is the fact that he scored 71 once, that's when the narrative for him changed. It was obviously him getting fed by his teammates and that is why he got it, he shot way too much to get that and he was obviously hot that day so it worked well for them, but before that game he wasn't considering that great. He didn't become good just because he scored 71, he became well respected because they saw what he could do, there are only a few players in the league that can do that even with bad efficiency and that day everything changed.

I would say Booker is not that great neither, barely all start level and I can name more guards at west that could be better than him even for all star as well. Sometimes the league creates their own heroes out of nothing and he was one of those people, he is not going to be remembered anytime in the future as soon as he retires, he is a player of his own era and nothing more than that.
