I'm so excited for the lakers because of the young guys. 2-3 years I think they can contend. But for now I will not bet for them. It's not good for the business . But I still love them. Now that durant is gone I bet they make a run at Westbrook who is a free agent next year. If they improve this year you know Lakers brass will make a run at big free agents and maybe they can land Kobe 2.0 kobe 2.0 maybe westbrook can show more with okc I think Durant and ibaka moved will just give them enough funds to get a better player who can fit with their rotation and support westbrook on which ways he decided to bring the team let see what will happen next.

Yesterday I noticed that there is a NBA summer season.
Are they the same guys that play in the main NBA, or just other people playing with the same team name?
Can't find much about the games in the sport sites

These are mostly rookies and some contract-based players just to get the feel of the NBA game before the actual season starts. This is a way to gel players without sacrificing losses on the actual season as well as practice some of the plays.

It would be interesting to see how the Lakers can cope next season without Kobe Bryant. I have a feeling that their youngsters can finally step up and play well after the absence of Kobe. Kobe had been dragging the team now in the previous seasons.

Breaking News: Tim Duncan Announces RetirementNo doubt one of the most powerful power house with calm attitude in the league. A loyal one and really a monster in the paint. He is one of the Spurs roster that make a championship on a year in 3 decades ( 90's (1999) , 20's (2003,2005,2007) , 2010's (2013)). We didn't see him became a weak one while on his journey. I'd like to see Gasol and Duncan's twin tower defense next season but look like we can't see it now. Congrats Timmy! Your a legend!

His team won the qualifying match for the olympics and sure he will played first for hiscountry before going in for a retirement.

Duncan's definitely my all time great at PF, I'm sure there are many other candidates but Tim is the best one I've ever witnessed. Amazing foot technique, defense, Mr. Fundamental to the core while being not the most gifted physically. I think he made a very wise decision, could've done it sooner too but just the previous season he was doing very well. Age catches up to everyone real quick though...and every year after 35 it's a steep decline.

Jalen Rose said multiple in his podcasts that there was a strong chance for Westbrook going to the Spurs. For me it's crazy as I don't know how he will fit but it will definitely be a massive upgrade on Parker who has been a shadow of himself lately. Leonard & Westbrook along with the rest of the Spurs could be a very interesting scenario.

Certified top ten player of all time! First Kobe and now Duncan Who's next in line? Likely Manu and Parker but hoping for not as they still have those beast performance even at their age together with Timmy. They still have that Spurs power. Actually Duncan's retirement is different from Bryant's retirement in terms of the current power in their role. Duncan can still play and maintained his power in his territorial area which is the paint that will include points, rebounds and blocks. On other hand, we all know that Kobe isn't playing well know that's why it's good for him to hang his jersey now and live as one of the NBA legends.

Since Kobe and Duncan retired at the same time they will both be eligible for the hall of fame in the same year. Shocked Kobe and Duncan both retire in the same season, in polar opposite ways, pretty much encapsulating their career personas. We just lost the two legends most of us grew up watching. Sad.

LOL, what kind of joke is this? Guess he thought he can get away by kicking balls off the court too. By the way, What about sexual assault? That includes making contact, not just threatening to do so.

You think hes the only one who has people talking trash to him? Theres people talking trash to him in nba games but he does nothing.

There's a certain line adults should not cross, and the guy talking to Draymond Green crossed it first. Not saying what Draymond did was right, but I certainly don't blame him.

I dont think people will actually understand how good he was til years later. (like tony gwynn) everyone thought that it's another center who will play nba and be forgotten but years after the domination of spurs twin tower together with david robinson, duncan show that it's not the power for you to be a star like shaq, it's the talent built in to him who dominate the boards a powerful center showed up and create his own history.
