Kawhi dominated the perimeter shooting. It is like how Jordan did it before. Not settling for a 3 but more of taking it slow to get the finest shot of all.
He is almost the perfect player there.
Getting steals, shooting threes if he was freed and also taking the ball to the paint.
I was really amazed at how this guy does his job once he is on the basketball floor.
But the Spurs gave them a good fight with a battle of perimeter shooting.

They have their own big 3 of Bogdanovic, Gobert and Mitchell, the coaching staff of the Clippers must have think that they can lose that game on the road even with Leonard playing so they opted him to rest.

Bottomline, when Leonard takes a day-off, make sure that the opposing team is strong enough to tackle down a Leonard-less Clippers.

That's what I am concerned of. I mean the guy like Leonard is still such a young player but wants to cut down the workload to avoid injuries. This is making the NBA became more softer and softer. It's a damn shame most of the players in the NBA today claiming they got bigger and stronger than the dudes in the 90's when they feel like they cant even play the damn whole 82 games.

Kawhi was 13 points I guess before the 1st half and by the end he had scored 38 points. He really put up in his game and I lost my bet. Should have checked the lineup before making it. Damn -_-

It looks to me like the NBA also want to make more money by not letting their superstar to have a lot of injuries which could lead to them not playing anymore. They are like babies now which entertains a lot of people.
Yeah, it might be a good investment but as you said, they are getting softer.
They did this too with AD when he was still at Pelicans. Keeping him safe so that the Lakers will get him fully fresh without a scratch of injury.

Yeah usually the teams will announce they will be sitting g a player.  The NBA discourages teams surprising by benching a superstar because it sucks for people paying thousands of dollars to come to a game only to find out the player you came to see is benched that night.  And if you are wondering about vegas hedging their books with their own bets sure.  They dont like being so exposed so I would image this happens for sure

Spurs played not bad neither but their turnovers was a big problem, Clippers have a great defense so the Spurs had hard time playing their own style, which resulted with Spurs having 80 shots in the game versus 91 of the Clippers, both teams didn't play that amazingly on offense to be honest, when you shoot 11 more times the difference usually is not 6 points, for comparison clippers shot 91 times and scored 103, spurs shot 80 times and scored 97 which as you can see means teams usually score more points than the FG attempts they have and just 11 more shooting with only 6 point difference means both teams weren't that efficient.

Clippers is still great but I feel like they need PG back for offensive help, they need to find a better and more efficient way to score.

It's the clippers that can cut the winning streak of Spurs. Yes, they didn't played bad, they even outmaneuvered the opposing team with threes at the first quarter. I believe in the modern NBA that if you can't shoot 10 threes per game, you can't win the game. I'm not saying that Clippers are bad in shooting threes, it's just that, it doesn't come off when they do.

Man, Kawhi showing dominance in every game. If you're wondering what's his stats, he's only 29.2 points per game shooting 50% from the field . What comes more when PG will play, this will get more exciting as it is right now.

Actually I'm not seeing that game as Kawhi dominated the whole Spurs. Kawhi made that big points out from 32 attempts (career-high FGA). Anyhow, still, close at his usual average.

Both teams showed a less average than their usual in terms of field goals made overall. Both teams also established lots of fouls that Popovich even got mad to what happened. In other words, both teams are sort of struggling during their offense. That means both teams show an impressive defense.

Clippers win is not because of only Kawhi. That's the whole team's effort. They made a good rally that turns the tables around. No dominance happened or whatever.
