The NBA has just fined the Bucks $50K for disclosing their plans of signing Antetokounmpo to a supermax contract next summer that worth $253.8 million, it would be a history in the NBA.

If that contract would push through, how many years would that be?

Is Giannis deserve that much?

What a dumb fine made by NBA again, I really don't get the point on why they would give a fine on plan for a player they already have. It's like just saying their plans for the future for their own players I don't see how they violated anything especially when it is still the off season and Giannis is already half way done to his contract. I believe I have seen similar news about opinions from the GMs and the owners but I didn't see any reports of a fine that followed after making the comment. I don't know if this is a new rule or they really have favorites within the NBA.

Giannis plays for Milwaukee Bucks, they are the only team that can offer him supermax contract, and when stating the obvious, they got fined. And yes, he is one of the few players in NBA that deserves supermax.

I will assume the supermax contract should not over a 5-year deal. I remember GSW's Steph Curry is currently on a supermax contract. Never heard of 6 or more or maybe I just missed it. Just someone corrects me here if I'm wrong but I'm sure there's no direct 6-year deal supermax contract up to date. It should be an extension.

Just this off-season, Damian Lillard sign a supermax contract too but for a 4-year deal. So maybe minimum 4 but not more than 5? lol.

Miami doesn't have a young roster that could fit OKC's rebuilding in my opinion. Plus their young players are tie with huge salaries as well so I don't know how Miami can get away with that one. And if ever they do trade, will Butler and Paul click? I mean two players with large ego, we have seen it didn't last in Houston with Harden and Paul.

I think the problem really was James, he wants t lead the team when he is not clutch as Paul, IIRC, Lin also played with the Rockets and at that time, Lin was already considered as a star but they don't blend well, therefore I think that Harden does not want a star player to play with him.

I still remember Harden's interview after they lost to GSW and he says he knows where the problem is. And I think it's clear now that Paul is, that is according to him, that's why Paul was booted out of Houston.

Now that Harden is with WB, let's see if I'm wrong, I'm really confident I am not.

Kris Middleton is a real nice piece.  He might not be the biggest name in the game but he is really good and a big reason why the bucks are decent.  I think they locked him up for a couple of years as well.  The knicks could use a guy like Middleton who isnt first fiddle but a close second

For us it looks like a stupid decision by the management, but I know these players are professional and they will always play based on the game plan.
They cannot dictate their own well here, they are paid really high to not follow the coach, this coming season is gonna be their first season together, so they have to prove to the management and to the people that they can play together to give success to the Rockets that has failed many times against the Warriors.

I guess relying to another superstar is their only options left. Harden and Westbrook has the same style of playing and both are stat padding from the past seasons, but we cant deny that these guys has really a crazy talent, from driving down the lane, creating their own shot, to hitting tightly contested 3's.

I guess relying to another superstar is their only options left. It should be Harden that will still be the face of the team, even at the times when Durant was joined the Warriors and he mostly generate points to the team compared to Curry but the fans are still loyal to Curry, when Durant was traded, there's not much of complain we hear from the fans, its like its a normal thing and we even love to see the old warriors, but if its curry that is traded, its a different story.

Speaking of westbrook, he was also the face of the OKC, but he struggled last season and it was PG who lift the team to be in the playoffs and give a good series to the Blazers.

Yeah, that will be a tough playmaking for D'Antoni.

Westbrook allows Paul George to be the main man for OKC last season even he is the usual main center of their plays. I'm sure he will do the same with the Rockets (I hope). And maybe there are better options, it's just that HOU found a deal first with the OKC as they want a quick trade for Chris Paul.

I thought the same thing so maybe what will happen is that only one of them will enter first the hard court and then when they're leading the other one will substitute in order to maintain their lead and have some rest for the other one at the same time. Or maybe when in crucial situations they're both in and this could make their opponents confused on who must they prioritize since both of them can do winning shots. Let's gind out.

What's the implication of this lying about how tall they are? I have never heard of any past and current NBA players getting fined for not disclosing their true height. Besides, I think the teams they are playing against are already familiar with their actual height.

Main problem for the teams like Milwaukee Bucks or Denver Nuggets when it comes to attracting free agent stars is that they are small market. So players are less inclined to join, while teams from  cities like New York and especially Los Angeles don't have issues with that at all.

This is funny, maybe they can lie with their injury of health but not their height for the above mentioned reason.

Durant at 6"9' is still one of the best in the NBA, with his height, he is very fast and he can shoot the ball very well.
I wish we can see a new Durant with the same athleticism and a good accuracy in shooting the ball.
