Jokic is out for whole January unfortunately.    Thankfully it isn't an ACL injury. Otherwise who knows how long he was going to be out. Most probably he would have been out for the season just like Haliburton.

This means he will miss like at least 18 games from regular season. Murray will have a serious responsibility while he is injured. Let's see how many of them will end up as wins for Nuggets.

Looking at their schedule for the whole January, it isn't that hard because they only strong that they're facing on that month is Detroit, or maybe we can add Philly, Boston and Cleveland as well. Nevertheless, I think the Nuggets are just fine despite not having Jokic for at least a month. This will be a test for them as well. We can see here how the Nuggets are dependent on Jokic. Will they still get wins despite not having him? Or they will be worse and will go down in the standings. Let's see how the Nuggets will play throughout the month.

And I was a victim of it. I thought their last game would mirror their performance in this one, but I was wrong, they even beat the home team without the Joker (I’m the joke for assuming they’d lose).

Valanciunas was able to fill the role of Jokic effectively. It’s really a steal for them getting this man.
He may not be a triple-double guy, but a contribution of 17 points and 9 rebounds is huge, better than Ayton of the Lakers.

Also I think Hawks already put him on trade block and for sure they are waiting for offers to come then see if they can get more better deals. Potential destination for Young https://www.si.com/nba/four-trae-young-destinations-hawks and let see if which team will succeed to acquire him.

Looking at the teams on that list, I think the most realistic option is the Kings. They’ve been struggling, and they really need an explosive guard like him. Trading him in exchange for Zach LaVine actually makes sense, especially since LaVine hasn’t been producing much lately.

That kind of move could help address the Kings’ issues since Fox was traded. Right now, they clearly need someone who can step up and carry the offense.

I don't think Young is that guy though. Of course he is solid, no doubt about that, but can he carry a team? I mean it didn't work in Atalanta, so why would it work with the Kings. He needs a solid big he can pass to, which Sacramento doesn't really have I think. Also I don't think the Hawks would want Lavine in a trade, he definitely is passed his prime, that's why he switches teams lately.

Because he gives me joy in every game. Every time he is on the court, he can surprise you and show a top level performance. I am very happy that his injury is not long term.

Thank god its only for January but hoping they get couple of wins even though he is not playing, that will give them a bit of advantage when he returns, its just sad that it happens because of his teammates, not by a collision with the opponent, or from a rebound, but yea no want it to happen its just an accident, Is Luka a problem on defense?
He seem to let opponent get easy points when he's on defense.

I watched it in slow-motion and it looked to me also like the ball was still on his finger tips when the shot clock hit 0.0. It's 1/1 in Jokic's absence. Let's see how many more wins Nuggets will get.

No update yet, the last news that I read is that it's bad news for the Spurs, but there are also who says that the injury is not that worst and they compare it to Jokic. But still though, if its similar to Jokic who will missed at least a month they they will definitely have a impact on the Spurs.

But they have a lot of good players and maybe it will be the time of Fox again to carry the team. But they have to be consistent and not to try to play catch up because there will be games that they might be tired and will not able to recover in time to win.

I agree about inconsistency but they are team composed with young players so I understand this current cons on their roster.

The good thing about them is they are improving and adapting on their mistakes that makes them a scary team in the future. Maybe OKC and Spurs rivalry will be a long term on West.

i don't know if I'm seeing it wrong but I also watched the slow motion again. I paused it right when the ball leaves his hand and the clock shows 0.1. It’s hard to see the exact moment on camera but it looked like a good bucket to me.

The good thing about them is they are improving and adapting on their mistakes that makes them a scary team in the future. Maybe OKC and Spurs rivalry will be a long term on West.

That's somethings to expect for having a young rosters on your team, but what's really great about them is we can see a huge improvement on Spurs. If we compare their past standings we can say that they really reach so far this season. Spurs really improve their pace and we might see a long time rivalry on west between OKC and Spurs.

That inconsistency is part of the process and if the management knows how to develop their team so well they might succeed then can win championship in future. Right now Both OKC and Spurs are scary team to defeat especially if Wemby and Shai is on the court.

Wemby himself said that he felt fine and was ready to return to the court during that game, but they held him back. So the injury is probably not serious, but the Spurs' decision to give him a rest is understandable. They simply cannot risk his health, given that Wemby is prone to injury due to his height.

Denver, playing without Jokic, managed a tough 103-106 away win against Toronto. Jokic's injury will keep him out for at least four weeks. Denver will undoubtedly face significant difficulties during this time, but they need to get through it with minimal damage. Their next game is against Cleveland, and given that it's an away game, I expect Denver to lose.

In other games last night, San Antonio didn't make the same mistakes; they struggled but ultimately won.

Chicago, after two consecutive losses, defeated New Orleans 134-118 last night.

Oklahoma defeated Portland 124-95.
