Here is a very simple set up. If you don't plan on doing anything illegal right now then you could practice in a virtual machine.

Is it illegal just to have a onion site running in the first place? That would be a cool thing to try but I am scared to dabble in that stuff.

I don't think it is at all illegal to run an onion site as long as it is legal. There are legitimate websites that run mirrors on tor without facing any prosecution.

Bitwasp clearly tells you on their website not to use them. OP you can check out https://www.reddit.com/r/darknetmarkets be sure to spend some time on https://www.reddit.com/r/darknetmarketsnoobs first though. Once again can't say this clearly enough no one use bitwasp to create a marketplace!

Also personally I wouldn't follow Cryptorials links, 100% chance its either a phishing attempt or the marketplace has near zero vendors. I would only trust links posted here https://www.reddit.com/r/darknetmarkets/wiki/superlist the most popular are abraxas alphabay and nucleus. Reddit loves abraxas the most out of that list.

I think its unlikely that you will find anything reliable about how to make a marketplace yourself on Reddit, but there's no harm in asking around.

I agree that BitWasp is not production ready, as it says clearly on the Github page I share a link to (I presume that's what you mean by the website?), but I'm pretty sure its the closest thing there is right now to an 'off the shelf' script for setting up your own market. Also its under active development so at some point in the future it should be ok to use, but you're right that as the intro on GitHub says its far from ready for general release so unless you really know what you are doing its not a good idea to set up a marketplace using it right now.

I can assure you that the links aren't phishing attempts on my part, I have tested the market and had no problems - of course that's no guarantee for the future. I run Cryptorials.io which regularly publishes popular articles on deep web related topics and, for example, is #1 in Google for 'how to buy things on the deep web' and the first page for 'dark markets' and 'how to sell drugs online'. You are right that they don't have a lot of vendors though, because as I said when I shared the links it has only been set up quite recently after the owners took over development of bitwasp, which was I understand from a deepdotweb article was previously released and used by a number of marketplaces but had problems due to newbies setting up sites without knowing what they were doing and getting themselves in trouble.

EDIT: It is safer to use established sites like Abraxas though. I shared the links mainly because of the relationship to BitWasp.

There are allot of dark marketplaces on the internet where you can buy almost anything with bitcoins. But i think you can also buy thing just with paypal or something.

I believe most things you see on those dark marketplace like deep web are scams.

I also think about that because you cant trust anyone in that dark marketplace except your self, there are many criminals out there that waiting for a person that be easily get scam by their social engineering skills.

Yeah you can't trust anyone there unless you know someone there personally. But still dark marketplaces especially deep web.
People out there are just selling for scams and they have bogus buyers , bidders just to get bigger amount for their item.
It is better not get involved with any transactions there.

I didn`t have chance to use this dark market places, I can say that first time I hear about it here on this forum. Then, and now I see some very trustworthy people talking how bad this places can be, and cause of that I didn't make second step to download tor and start learning about it.
I agree that majority of this world will not understand it good, so its better to get rid of them as much as possible. I doubt we can rid of them all, but I think it can be held on minimum.

I think media will just report it once someone powerful and jealous with bitcoin is going to pay for them to create malicious and bad report for bitcoin just to destroy the reputation of bitcoin. We can't deny it that bitcoin has been always used in the dark market.
But still this kind of market cannot be eliminated easily. Much better if don't get involve with people there.

This is partly true but the fact is also that if you are asking me there are also good ones that are selling real stuff for some good stuff, these urls can even be found on google.

Cause they don't about bitcoin too that's why they don't bother to report things like this. At the early stage of bitcoin they think that bitcoin won't last and now that they see bitcoin making it's own name I think they now consider to report things happening in bitcoin.

yeah most of them are just going to scam all people who wants to buy some illegal stuff from them , and maybe they just want to have an access to your account maybe you dont noticed that they already got your webcam .

Around this time there are now more stores that is selling some illegal stuff and that is because the value of Bitcoin is becoming higher and many people now use it as their payment method.

Well dark marketplaces has the most bunch of scammers. So, bigger chance of being fooled and scammed there is really high.
So, if you are planning to have transactions there better to think again many times.
Because illegal activities there are all around and the eyes of FBI is always there.

Most likely you wont find any "safe" DARK marketplaces that's kinda why they're called that, you can't fully entrust them due to them being most likely untraceable with their site so that's just how it works.

Dark marketplaces are not a very good place to go...Highly do not recommend.

lol , i think they are also going to do it . if someone or some company will pay to media just to report and expose it to the news and even to a newspaper . some of the medias are just working for a reason just because of money .

I would definitely agree, there are so many different marketplaces you never know which ones are good or bad, so if you do go crazy with the dark marketplaces be sure to always check that you're using such browsers as tor.

I do not personally like darkmarket places as they dont have a use for me but for others I can understand.

Most of the dark marketplaces were just scam specially the stand alone page sites dealing with high price item like fake us ids, weapons etc. I haven't done deal but some store with inbuilt escrow feature could be safe way to buy things in dark marketplaces.

I am no need of illegal items so i don't bother going to dark web to buy things and i really don't like how darkweb sites can scam easily.
