Why is gambling so addicting?

Most people gamble in their spare time for the profit and enjoying time they will have because of it.
Due to the fact that its enjoying they will get addicted, it already has been said hundred times but its the real reason in my opinion.

hmm i can agree with your opinion, an addiction come from a curious , get excessive pleasure (have fun). something excessive can be interpreted as an addiction right? like this gambling addiction.

I think having fun is not the right word, for me having fun is spending time without thinking other problems. And in gambling ur must hope ur bet should win. And i might say that gambling is a risky hobby. I too enjoy gambling but not the having fun way.

So I guess you don't belong to the rich people who just throw their money in a casino happily. Yes, majority of the gamblers gamble their money with an expectation to bag a huge amount of money. That is why it becomes an addiction because we always thinks of winning which in reality the odds does not favor on us.

In fact, most of us dont belong to the rich people. Otherwise when we gamble, we will gamble to like it is endless. However, we have a budget and a limit. And although we knew we have a higher chance to lose, we still want to gamble to hope to win and at the same time get into the mood of excitment of gambling.

That excitement can sometimes lead us to the hole of permanent sadness. It is just accurate to say that before one will enter in the gambling world he should be physically and emotionally fit to manage the stress gambling may bring you our life.

So you keep playing and playing and losing and losing more.

It will be all gone if you keep on playing it, without any intentions in stopping and you always wants to retrieve what you have lost in gambling I think that will be not good for you because gambling will not let you take an opportunity to take what they have earn from you, you need to be patient and try again your luck some other time!

LOL. Just a quick warning to all the newbies out there reading this post. There aren't good investment sites right now. 99% of them are ponzi scams. Better keep your money than fall victim into one of these sites. You can't get rich from investing unless you invest your money in a wise way (ie, mining rigs). Actually some people believe that there are "legit' investment sites but they only pay really really small percent of your money. I doubt these sites are legit 'coz you'll get ROI after months and that means they've got plenty of time to runaway.

+1 to this. The problem is not when you're having a winning streak, the problem is when you're in a losing streak and then you got outrageous. If you're on rage, there's a high possibility that you'll bet all your money or a big part of your bankroll in one bet in hopes of getting all your lost money back. Unfortunately though, the percentage of winning is still the same, there's still a high chance that you get busted. So instead of winning all it back, you end up losing it all.

That's the problem. Once you lose money, you tend to withdraw some more from your bank account and go back to casino in hopes of getting back the money you lost. This is just a cycle until you become really into gambling and eventually become addicted to it.

I would agree with you on this, repetition will lead to addiction. Gambling base on my research has a high addiction effect to the gamblers. If people only are not greed then they would appreciate the beauty of gambling even though they lost but still get their aim which is enjoyment.

Gambling can be very addicted and this already has been mentioned by all kind of people, its of course true no doubts about that by the way.
I always through it was caused by a combo of two reasons and that is profit and the enjoying factor.
These two factors makes it so hard to stop with gambling in my eyes.

I also think about these two factor that the earning a profit and enjoying the games make people to stick to these games and in that rush thwy do not care that whether they are winning or losing their money.
