I have another question for the dev.
What happens if you fail to raise the expected number of coins for a feature from the community?
For eg: 500,000 DNET for anonymous transactions.
What if you only raised 100,000 for example.

We are not asking for "Donations" There is a budget system build into Darknet that allows for these coins to be created if the Proposal is accepted. the Max Monthly budget that is available is equal to 10% of the block rewards that are created for that month. Which is a decreasing amount overtime. if no Proposals are approved, then no coins are created.

Sorry about my ignorance.
Thats a great system.
No reason to be sorry.. Smiley

Enlarging the mining period by x2/x3 and cut the Rewards by 50%-75% or something like that seems like a good idea.
Maybe activating POS earlier to cut off some POW Reward Blocks would also help a little ?

Too much Sellpressure can kill a Coin forever and we have simply way too much Sellpressure from Miner and MN Dumps here.

Someone should make this Proposal. lol
This def needs some Adjustment.
Otherwise its the Road to 1 sat.

Good question, at this point this is the main point of contact. We are in the process of getting a Masternode Monitoring site together, as well as a place to consolidate the Voting needs and discussions. but for now, I would hope that everyone checks in here at least once a day. We are still seeing 1.0.0.0 - 1.0 2.0 Wallets in the Peers log. so obviously some people haven't bothered to checking in a long while...

As an investor and voting rights holder I would hope that the funded budget would enable/encourage the developers to be able to spend more hours per week on building and improving the network infrastructure.

Here is a new proposal to gather funding to create a truly untraceable transaction. The previous proposal was voted in, but was not paid as the initial budget fund was paid first.

I have done some research and have devised a means to create a truly untraceable transaction in a 100% trust-less manner. Utilizing the same masternodes that we have right now.

Proposal to Add to Darknet Untraceable Transactions;

hash=7ab87af4eb15979b0e542e389a37022feedf0455abf0494bb3df2fcadab210eb

"mnbudget vote 7ab87af4eb15979b0e542e389a37022feedf0455abf0494bb3df2fcadab210eb yes" to vote in favor

"mnbudget vote 7ab87af4eb15979b0e542e389a37022feedf0455abf0494bb3df2fcadab210eb no" to vote against

"mnbudget getinfo untraceable-tx” to check the status

I have no idea where you got the hash for this proposal but it should be
fd20f751b02a9fba43164fb661cfa28571b2e4726ad02b1f5ead16a02dd8d880 as listed in the mnbudget query results of the debug console.

i really feel a little stupid as early investor atm ....

yes the coin is still young but at some point it will be very difficult (if not impossible) to recover and i'm not sure if it is worth to extend rental time for all of my vps.
well it is crypto: expect the worst and hope for the best.  Tongue

edit: don't get me wrong i'm not here for the quick buck but as investor i'm looking for profit in the long run

Proposal to save Darknet from inflation

PoW phase with steady block reward is producing too much coins, it is hurting early investors and promotes dumping. Price now is 4x lower than month ago. We need emergency measures to prevent this.

I propose significant reduction of PoW supply and giving biger % reward to masternode owners. It will decrease selling preasure from miners and will support MN owners who are more loyal to Darknet cryptocurrency.
We will have total of 39 960 000 coins at the end of the PoW phase instead of 64 800 000 coins (-24 840 000 coins that could be dumped).

Blocks 1 - 135 000 (94 days, ends by may, 8)
POW reward: 250 DNET
Total supply: 33 750 000

Blocks 135 001 - 259 200 (86 days)
POW reward: 50 DNET (25 to miners and 25 to masternodes)
Total supply: 39 960 000

Blocks 259 200 +
PoS

I think the proposed effective date is too quick.

The voting needs to run for at least a week IMO and then need about 2 weeks minimum after that before the fork to ensure all users/exchanges/block explorer wallets have enough get updated.

obviously you didn't even pay attention to the BlockStart variable. this is the old one that didn't get funded due to another proposal that was currently finishing funding at the time.

When the mnbudget show command is entered the current truly-untraceable-tx proposal is clearly visible at the bottom of the listing.

Code:
"Name" : "truly-untraceable-tx",
        "URL" : "bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1262920.msg14588778#msg14588778",

        "BlockStart" : 129600,
        "BlockEnd" : 194400,

I think the proposed effective date is too quick.

Well I see that >300 nodes have already voted. that is over 30% within 24hrs, the required minimum threshold for voting nodes is 10%

Also, as this is a community motion for direction of the coin and not the same vote as a funding of a budget, it would be fair to say that this plan of action can be rolled out asap even if not attained by the start block time of the proposal hash so we're fine.

If I didn't double check the numbers in the console on my own instead of taking a forum post verbatim then people would still be voting on the wrong proposal.

if you have to manage a lot of masternodes you maybe find my little c# programm useful:

quick overview:
- manage your masternodes with a database (access)
- one click login to any server with putty (port 22 ssh)
- one click login to any server with putty (port 22 ssh) and start custom command or a script. if you want to update the wallet and other stuff
- one click login to any server with putty (port 22 ssh) and open darknet.conf with nano (edit the file EditConf.txt if you need to)
- one click creation for masternode.conf entries for your controller wallet

feel free to do with the source code whatever you like, but don't complain about my coding skills  Tongue
screene:

you can find the exe and source code here: http://n-tw.net/dnet/

go dnet go

This is cool, thanks for sharing this and source.

If it could include support for optional ssh/rsa key authentication versus plaintext passwords per vps instance that would be even better:

I think the proposed effective date is too quick.

The voting needs to run for at least a week IMO and then need about 2 weeks minimum after that before the fork to ensure all users/exchanges/block explorer wallets have enough get updated.
I think 1 week for voting + 1 week to switch to new wallet is enough. The longer we delay this process, the more damage will be done to Darknet economy.

PoS
