Honestly, I would not want to pay taxes, but it's getting harder and harder to avoid it right now, when bitcoin has become mainstream and the tax authorities around the world are studying how to tax on cryptos. And as the price increases and the income potential also, it is more complicated to move large amounts of money without going through the banking system, which is why I believe that sooner or later I will end up paying a lot of taxes, even against my will.

soooo move the fuck outa the country with the tax money you are not giving them Huh Huh
Why namely I have to emigrate?! I think unelected bastards (govt members of my country) must emigrate to the graveyard and all their stolen property confiscated!

At first, don't use exchanges and bank transfers. They can report to the tax agency even after many years. Trade in person for cash. Localbitcoins is the best option.
At second, be politically active! Better donate some of your Bitcoins to the government's opposition than paying it directly to your enemy (govt) via taxes.

Are you going to pay taxes on your Bitcoin profits?

Suppose you make a million dollars. Suppose you have already made a million dollars. Are you going to hand half of that cash over to the government? Of course, this is assuming you convert your coins into federally recognized cash. If your only intention is to amass a huge supply of Bitcoins, the question does not apply to you.

You're supposed to pay income taxes. It seems rather easy to get away with not doing it, though... at least in this case.

I guess if the government requires it then, I won't really have a choice do I? If it's legally announced that all bitcoin holders must pay taxes for their bitcoins then it would be illegal to not comply to that. But, for now that it isn't like that, I wouldn't pay at all.

The government has right to collect the taxes for the citizens of there country.
Although a lot of millionaires were hiding there income to escape from paying taxes.
I myself if i have millions earn from cryptocurrencies i will pay what is due to the country.
I can lessen the taxes by donating some of my money to the charity institution or in the NGO.

No, to be honest I have never paid any taxes even from my work. So how can I pay a profit tax from my bitcoin? That sounds illogical is not it? I do not pay taxes because I do not know where to pay. And I do not know because I never want to know, I never find out.

No I'm not.

Here in Switzerland there are no taxes on capital gains.   Grin

Which is the procedure to take one's residence in Switzerland? Not joking, if one day one had to cash out a few million $ then it could become a good idea to move to Switzerland. After all, also Google, Amazon and the other corporations migrate where they don't have to pay taxes...

Yes, I'll pay for the taxes. When you are paying for taxes it is only means that the cryptocurrencies are now being recognized, finally. Besides it will be used as a fund throughout the governments project. Lets just say that the taxes will fall on the right hand and will be use correctly. So, definitely i'll pay.

I guess no one likes to pay taxes. If you have to pay capital gains tax, there is no way out. Well, unless you want to end up in jail.  Wink

Well, as long as it is not mandated by the law, why should I pay. Taxes are good because it is used for social development, people's welfare and government projects. What I don't like about taxes is that some politicians are not using it well and they are even stealing taxes from people. It would be good to pay taxes if you know that it is well spent.

Yes, i will pay taxes if it is a law in our country that there tax in bitcoin. No one will escape in the law and nothing we can do in paying taxes. But if it doesnt in the law why should i pay taxes.

I envy that you live in a country where you can the trust government won't steal your taxes and use them for country's improvement!
However, most likely,  you just don't know about corruption.

I guess no one likes to pay taxes. If you have to pay capital gains tax, there is no way out. Well, unless you want to end up in jail.  Wink
Most obvious way out is to use cash and don't show up funds on bank account.
However, this is a temporarily solution. More rational is to spend some of your Bitcoins to fund political opposition and fight corrupt tyrannical govt!

20% is somewhat tolerable, as long as everyone is paying their taxes and there is no indirect taxation. But here in India, the situation is quite different. Only 1.5% of the population pays their taxes, and the income tax level is 31%. On top of that we have indirect taxes in the form of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and excise duty.

20% is somewhat tolerable
I think the question is not about concrete percent, but how your taxes will be spent! Many people would agree to pay 50% from their income if be sure that taxes will be spent on country's improvement and evade even 1% tax if know these funds will be stolen by corrupt govt members!
