Just this Saturday I have been told by someone that what I am doing is illegal and that I am into stealing money from someone in the internet.. what the heck!! funny but its really hard to explain what is bitcoin...  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

Misunderstanding is most common for any technology. Most of the people are so orthodox, they are unable to break their own barriers to come out to embrace bitcoin. Recently I change one of my friend's view on bitcoin by showing good returns from my bitcoin trading.

Yeah, that is one of our problem now, explaining what we are doing specially to those who are not techy people, and those who did not want to open up their mind about this new technology..

So, what do people around you (relatives, co-workers, co-ed, friends...) think about Bitcoin ? Please, indicate your country, so this way I'll be able to make a synthesis about what people think about Bitcoin.

For me : I come from France. My relatives think that it's criminals' tool and that since they can't touch money they don't trust it (note that those same persons are pro-banks, where you can't touch money). My friends think that it is useless and that it has no future. Both of them agree that scare them the most is the Bictoin's price volatibility.

So not so positive Undecided. I hope that you aren't in the same situation.
i dont have same story with you,my relatives, co-workers, co-ed, friends and my family, never thinks negative about bitcoin, they just know that bitcoin can be traded with money, and so far they not know that bitcoin also used for illegal activity.

Surely true people's opinions vary there are some people who consider bitcoin pretty good but did not use, possibly as a result of their wages are already very high. My friends also some bad no one argues against bitcoin and also there is an opinion either. Everyone must have a response that is different.

i have been busy like a bee and spreading the word about bitcoin among my friends and family so far. but i have to say, overall they are hesitant to use bitcoin because of lack of use cases but mostly they find it interesting and useful and some of them have even started buying bitcoin.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

Some believe, and few won't even believe a currency has existed few years back. When I explain its possible to use only through internet they ask then how you call it a currency. They believe only if it comes into use with a physical form.

When I explain the technical terms, they are often left scratching their heads.

When I explain the value of it, I can see $ symbols in their eyes.

But, in my circle about bitcoin people are showing interest now, initially they find hard to adopt but now they are showing more interest after seeing the recent growth of bitcoin prices.

People around me think bitcoins is kind of MLM, because it's an online thing. And in my country MLM is a bit popular than bitcoins, that's why it's hard to introduced people about bitcoins.

So far mine wife also use Bitcoin to play some games and earn some Satoshi. When they still like to use it I am happy. What other people think about it don't mind at all.

People dont trust is sometimes. But that is normal I think. They think that you can hacked or something but that is not true.
It is very safe and that is true. Most online wallets are very safe too and that is very good.

There is a huge number of people around me, who have listened about it just recently, they don't have enough knowledge about that currency , they are in the initial stage with bitcoin. They came here because of bitcoin provide better earning ways .
But currently they do not have considered it as currency, they have adopted it as the credits to be convertable to their money. I hope they will be sooner with bitcoin as normal people.

I don't know anyone ever in real life that has heard about Bitcoin. We are still very early adopters. Of course, there could be the case of someone that has heard about it and doesn't go around talking about (for example I never talk about it) but that is very, very minority.
Even off my internet friends only one of them has even mentioned Bitcoin to me, and it had something to do with some ramsomware news or something, nothing relevant. So as you see, we are still pioneers.

But I have many friends who are making money with bitcoin and trading bitcoin. We are strong believer of bitcoin ecosystem. We often plan meet ups on weekends. Meeting with friends get me easily promote bitcoin to some new people as always our meet ups get some new people.
