What do people around you think about Bitcoin ?

Yeah, in my country also same. There are only few people who knows about bitcoin. and some people know bitcoin because around 1 month ago there are a criminal about bitcoin.

TBH, we both are quite in the same scenario. When I started to explain Bitcoin to my friends, and some of them heard I say "digital currency". They will interrupt me and said, "Hold on, Bitcoin is a game currency?". I literally had no idea how to explain it to them, so I just show them the video that is on Bitcoin.org. LOL. It works every single time.

When I try to explain them about the method of earning through signature campaign. They question how its possible to pay you. I tried to explain that we carry their signature and all. Finally they said it seems to be fun and in real time its not possible.

So, what do people around you (relatives, co-workers, co-ed, friends...) think about Bitcoin ? Please, indicate your country, so this way I'll be able to make a synthesis about what people think about Bitcoin.

For me : I come from France. My relatives think that it's criminals' tool and that since they can't touch money they don't trust it (note that those same persons are pro-banks, where you can't touch money). My friends think that it is useless and that it has no future. Both of them agree that scare them the most is the Bictoin's price volatibility.

So not so positive . I hope that you aren't in the same situation.

it is a combination of positive and negative feedback for me.
some of my friends and co-workers have accepted bitcoin and they have even started buying bitcoin and using it. but some others were not so accepting, these are mostly afraid of the price and they fear they might lose money if the buy bitcoin and the price goes down.

I told one of my friend about btc last month and showed him my bitcoin wallet.He says what I am doing is illegal because keeping money outside of our country without disclosing it to Government is against law.I am an Indian I dont know what he says is true or not but I am apprehensive

He is just jealous because your money cant be tax by your government which is a good thing about bitcoin.
You dont need to follow what your friend said,bitcoin is for people not for the government.

Well, it is maybe because there are some Pinoys who loves to invite everyone to join their networking business, which I think give them the idea not to trust  anyone anymore.. Explain it very well, I'm sure they will love bitcoin when they know that it is not what they think...

They don't know how it works, They think it is some sort of awkward investment and maybe they consider the whole place some from of gang meeting... probably too much TV..

yeah I was the first time I was not familiar with bitcoin do not understand how  it work of bitcoin. I'm very confident this coin will die in a short time and I ignored this coin. I continue to collect dollars from PTC but how shocked mr. burst very high price then I find out what it bitcoin and I became interested in bitcoin

Many friends dont use Bitcoin, because they dont like it and they think that you can easily be hacked, but that is not true.
Other friends told me that I have to use Bitcoin, and I am very happy that they told me because I am using it very much.
And that is also quite good for Bitcoin I think.

They don't neccessary need to invest money to get started, faucets are good for those who aren't ready to invest in bitcoin to start, they can also join the giveaways exchanges offer every while like Circle's Giveaways.

I'm working with people that interested in earning money with bitcoin. We are just started creating a plan how to make this possible. But my friends/parents etc don't know waht bicoin is it.

A majority of people I know honestly think Bitcoin is fake money/video game money. They truly believe it cannot be held or sold. They think mentally dangerous humans occupy it to do very illegal activities such as drug purchasing, drug selling, weapon purchasing, weapon selling, prostitution, all types of really degrading other things you can think of for work and so on. Not one person around me respects Bitcoin. Truth is, they have never even used it so why insult something before trying it?
