So, what do people around you (relatives, co-workers, co-ed, friends...) think about Bitcoin ? Please, indicate your country, so this way I'll be able to make a synthesis about what people think about Bitcoin.

For me : I come from France. My relatives think that it's criminals' tool and that since they can't touch money they don't trust it (note that those same persons are pro-banks, where you can't touch money). My friends think that it is useless and that it has no future. Both of them agree that scare them the most is the Bictoin's price volatibility.

So not so positive Undecided. I hope that you aren't in the same situation.
here in our country bitcoin is known because of criminals and drug dealers they usually heared bitcoin on news about a people buy or sell drugs using bitcoin and hiring criminals usig bitcoin so if they know that you are bitcoin earner they starting to create a story about you they will tell that you are criminal or drug dealer so if your bitcoin earner you better don't tell to others

I nowadays don't just give a fuck what others think. I continue to spill any gibberish that's related to bitcoin out to my friends. They mostly don't listen, because their understanding of the system isn't as comprehensive as mine, but then again. I don't care.

Majority of people still have some doubts and some kind of hesitation to start adopting it.I always carry discussion with people around me about Bitcoin and its benefits.I am happy good number of my friends already are in after what i explained them.It still needs time to gain trust of a common man.

I have received mixed responses from people when I asked them what they think about Bitcoin. I have friends who showed absolutely no interest in learning about Bitcoin and they thought that it was some type of fake Internet investment scheme. But I have acquaintances mostly over the Internet who are genuinely interested about the Bitcoin technology and some of them are even avid miners dabbling in alt coin mining. All in all I have seen negative and positive responses so I would say that both camps are kinda balanced out haha  Cheesy

I recently interacted with a website about introducing bitcoins as a payment method and they said that since bitcoins are bought illegally and used for illegal transactions, they cannot accept it.
I told them that bitcoin is still not  considered illegal and they did not revert after that. I feel sad that many think the same.

I live in the Philippines and here in our country i know many people that knows about bitcoin. But if there's one person that i keep telling what is bitcoin and how to earn from it and just says it is a scam it would be my mom. Well my dad don't care on what i do but my mom don't trust me on what i do. She always says i should stop doing it and earn some real money. She doesn't know what it can do and the potential of bitcoin in the future that it can be the future currency of the world.

People around me are thinking that the bitcoin is just a currency that is nothing compared with the normal currency's.
The most do not even want to know a thing from it..
I think it just needs more time. so bitcoin bsia prove to people who have seen bitcoin eye. that bitcoin will become a currency to rival the dollar or any other fiat currencies.
bitcoin will grow each time. so this is only waiting for the right time dude

agreed!!! adopting to bitcoin and bitcoin gaining trust is a bit hard for people
who only knew bitcoin because of people using it to do or buy illegal things
but explaining it carefully just like you did will be a big help for those who are
interested about learning what bitcoin is. anyway my brother and some of my
friend are now using bitcoin after i explained and demonstrate to them what and
how you can earn in bitcoin.

I come from Indonesia. Here the bitcoin pretty nice welcomed by users. Different in your country, in my country bitcoin is a positive thing even though the government has not legalized bitcoin but also not illegal bitcoin. Family and friends, supportive and interested in using bitcoin so I think a good response. thank you

That's good of your country. Here the most people around me believe it is purely created for the illegal and gambling activities. So always they avoid it for this reason, convincing and making them use it is really hard.

The people around you think that it is purely created for the illegal and gambling activities because when  they for the first time heard about bitcoin they heard like that, whenever we have to introduce someone to bitcoin we have to tell them that it an internt currency created for the internet.

thats nonsense in most countries you dont need to pay any taxes when it comes to using bitcoins so i doubt that there would be any problems though those are just my ideas

people around me think that it is just a bad money making scheme that will not earn people anything and that it is going to fail pretty soon what would cause big losses

Most of my friends don't know about it or just ignore it. For them it's just something for tech geeks and nerds.
And yes also something for criminals...

Maybe you should think about finding some new friends that better match your interests. Smiley

I'm happy to say that the people around me are quite open to it. Even though most of them still have not bought a single Bitcent. I think the problem is, that they are not as much into tech and finance as I and don't feel confident that they understand it enough to use it safely. But they mostly agree that it's a great innovation.

What I should add is that I never push people to Bitcoin. I only talk about it when I feel it fits to the social situation. I always try to be objective and also talk about the potential risks involved when (carelessly) dealing with Bitcoin.
