What do people around you think about Bitcoin ?

The fact is people around me doesn't know what bitcoin is. Even well experienced and educated teacher also don't know what bitcoin is and when they hear about it they think that is useless and so they don't care about it.

After reading some comments I realize that my story is not that much different, most people think of bitcoin as the currency of criminals or think is to complicated to use, but it is their loss since they are not going to be there when the price rises.

Well we needed to provide them right knowledge about bitcoin i guess giving them right and positive information about this will change their minds and start to research about this currency and for sure they will begin investing as well.

i hope it can helps them to make a research about bitcoin because many people push their attention with offline jobs because they think its real, they can see with their eyes, and they can feel the money while bitcoin is like a stock and they can not see what kind of this thing, how its looks of bitcoin, and anything else. i hope that in the future many people will be open minded as other people that  know bitcoin in the early.

My sister is telling me that I can earn as high as she earn , But opposite happens Im earning much money than her. Many people are not familiar with bitcoins, my friends asking me what is bitcoins, i am also working full time and also doing part time job on earning bitcoins in any online site that can give me bitcoins. they are thinking that collecting bitcoins is just a waste of time. But when i explain to them how useful are bitcoins are, they now understand me and they are now also collectimg bitcoins. Bitcoins is very good investment and good form of savings.

Well, I am from India, and I guess due to the cash crisis here, people have somewhat started to believe in it. However, I guess the ratio is 1:1000 or even less than that. My mom thinks it can be a viable criminal tool, and my friends dont know about it. A few around me do know about it, but its India, afterall, so many people dont even have internet, and many are willing to believe that bitcoin is a criminal thing. Also, some worry about the price volatility. So, I think that most of the opinion around me is negative, though bitcoin has started to progress, very slowly though.

For me : I come from France. My relatives think that it's criminals' tool and that since they can't touch money they don't trust it (note that those same persons are pro-banks, where you can't touch money). My friends think that it is useless and that it has no future. Both of them agree that scare them the most is the Bictoin's price volatibility.

Yeah, in most of the countries only very few users were aware of bitcoin, also in that most users prefer gambling with bitcoin. For this reason more and more users believe that bitcoin is developed for gambling and stay out of it.

Most teachers aren't techy and it isn't a requirement for them to teach. There are even techy people that don't know bitcoins. It's usually teenagers that know bitcoin because they all want to earn money. I remember when there was a seminar in our school and someone introduced bitcoins to us. People just don't get it. The guy was trying his best to let everyone understand it but I think it would really take some research before you fully understand bitcoins. Even the teachers that were sitting in the front seat are all unaware of what bitcoin is.

I tried to share my piece of experience with bitcoin to my neighbor but well it was like they are hearing an alien language lol.  They tend to just nod for listening sake and did not even inquire about it.  I even told them the possible opportunity bitcoin may give but well they have their job and just ignore me lol.  Sad but this is true.

if there is some reliable research about where is the bitcoin user come from mostly ,
i think yes those people/teenagers are the one who mostly know bitcoin ,
due they needs in earn money, but as always the problem are on how to explain bitcoin to common people who doesn't have any interest to bitcoin ,
there is no solution for this issue until now , so people just have no idea at all about bitcoin , some people who know maybe think bitcoin just another PTC sites.

As a non-native English speaker, if someone talked to me using uncommon or deep English words, I would also just nod to let the moment pass. I don't understand you and I think it would be rude to tell you to stop talking so I guess your neighbors were just being polite there. Your neighbors don't know the terminologies of the cryptocurrency, but at least you did introduce them to bitcoins. Maybe at some point they'll look it up online. They're living in comfort right now because they have a stable job but once they face financial crisis, that would increase the chances of them being interested in bitcoins.

Bitcoin isn't famous thing in my country, so I don't wonder if people around me have no clue with bitcoin.

Over here, people are still skeptical about it but to most of them that are even getting the gist behind it sees it a get rich quick means because of the value of 1btc which is within the range of $730-$740 or thereabout and someone will be like "I should have one and I'm good" as simple as that? Well, I feel you bro, here in my place people don't know what a bitcoin is. Because almost of the people here has a agrarian job. Farmers, caretaker of fields, they do copras and sell it. Some of them are factory workers and mostly construction worker. Carpenters and painters. Computer here in our places are rarely used unless its mine. Young people know some of the new technologies but doesn't know what bitcoin is, maybe if I had a fortune in this one, I can convince them.

Professionals who earns  large fiat money through their profession do not have time for bitcoin. We cannot blame them if they view bitcoin as useless currency because they are already satisfied with their fiat income and their time is dedicated to their profession.

Exactly, every next generation is way smarter than the previous one so anyone around me can relate with my topics of technology (including bitcoin) when their age is below 35 and rest of the people just hear what I am telling and some of them decide to ignore. I think we are going in a right direction by building awareness in the mediums where the target group is young.
