Hey, Leocoin Foundation, care to explain how this amazing coin achieves this?

Through the use of advanced cryptography and encryption methods, we have managed to make LEOcoin a truly anonymous digital currency, in contrast to others which are anonymous only on a superficial level.

Because true anonymity is an awfully difficult thing to achieve and the Leocoin github hasn't been updated in over a year, which would surely mean that hidden in its cut-and-paste code is the holy grail of anonymity?

The LEOcoin Foundation did not program any websites, also not that of the Merchant Marketplace: this site already existed before the founding of the LEOcoin Foundation last summer. However, we have included this merchant programm and others in our a list of request/todo's for the involved programmers . When answers come in we will use that information to update our roadmap for LEOcoin development in 2016.

regarding the anonymity level I will speak with the team that programmed LEOcoin and likewise explain the statement or have it adapted. Please understand that the LEOcoin Foundation was started a year after the first LEOcoins were created and that we currently have a lot of WIP to deal with.

regarding the Merchant Programm, this was initiated by Learning Enterprises Organisation Ltd. (LEO Ltd.) and there are indeed over 30.000 registered merchants. Today I spoke with two merchants, but only one of them has made turn-over that was paid for with LEOcoin. As stated above, we have inquired after the status of the merchant project and will report any news in this regard as soos as it is available.

I am not sure to what bs you are referring to. The LEOxChange is a London based exchange where LEOcoin can be traded against BTC, GBP, EUR and USD, but LEOcoin is not a stock. It is a cryptocurrency, so I suppose there are no any plans to 'move' to a UK stock exchange. Please, if any, mention your resources in this regard, so we can check them out.

However, what the LEOcoin Foundation does aspire, is to be listed on more CC-exchanges, like the new one from Thailand, that I informed the forum about earlier this week. I also want to point at the increased volume in trading from the last few days; not massive, of course, but supportive nonetheless.

this program is not initiated by the LEOcoin Foundation, see above. Please check out the third party website for actual information, but for as far as I know, these merchants are registered entrepreneurs that would take LEOcoin and/or other CC as means of payment. Amongst the merchants that I personally know are owners of shops like computer shop, bakery, garage, ironmongery, restaurants, etc., also companies offering services like graphic design, marketing and bookkeeping are registred members. (Please note: These are true, but unofficial specifications, based on my personal knowledge - for official statements to be used for publication, news, articles etc, please contact LEO Ltd.) But these are all in Western Europe. As LEO Ltd. has members worldwide, there are a lot of merchants that have names/descriptions in foreign languages, so I cannot tell you what kind of goods and services they offer. Having an index on that, is one of the things I would like to see; ideally per branch, country and language.

This afternoon I will hear more about how Learning Enterprises Organisation Ltd. (LEO Ltd.) intends to follow up on this project. I will probably post parts of these plans in the 2016-roadmap-for-LEOcoin that I am currently working on.

I also want to stress, that LEO Ltd., in order to become an official part of the merchant program, requires that the entrepreneur submits so called 'KYC' data, like copy of the entry in the chamber of commerce, tax-number, official company name, telephone number and e-mail, as well as identity documents that proofs these are real businesses and persons. In the latest publication LEO Ltd. mentioned over 32.000 merchants that have signed up. I do not know how many of these are fully KYC qualified, but I will try to get information on this that I can share on this forum.
