Let's think about this a little.  Jy-p is bankrolling this project with Comany 0 to the tune of 60-70k a month.  Do you really thing he's putting in so much time/effort/money for 8 lousy btc?  With the initial airdrop, they gave away what amounted to hundreds of btc.  With crypto projects its key to have appropriate expectations.  If you were expecting mass gains overnight and are upset that didn't happen, you may be leveraging more than you should.  Assuming you will not miss 8 btc over the next year, I submit that you will be happy with your return as the devs continue to toil away.

But lets look at where you stand currently.  So you spent 8 btc on decred.  Great! Did you know you can grow the value of that much more than any bank account can give you? I suggest you look into staking with one of the many stake pools available.  I've been very happy with my "interest" earned regardless of the price of decred.  So check out the pools available to you listed at the bottom of dcrstats.com and give it a try!

Sorry kid, but screaming "liar" and "scam" because you made a decision to buy and it happend to be at the top of a pump...well, "kid" is appropriate here I guess. And dbt isn't a dev. It's hard not to be aggressive when some troll comes in and labels an entire project as scam because he made a bad trade and is really really butthurt about it.  Not only that, but you thought you could get some sort of "social justice" by tweeting it? Sounds like classic [bad] trader butthurt to me.

The good news is that you have 8btc worth of dcr now.  Like the other advice you've been given: STAKE IT! You can actually earn quite a bit. Then, come back and thank us all (and the devs) when you sell off later this year at profit.

If it was a pump than you're right. But what if it wasn't? What if people were just buying this coin because of the higher price expectations? I mean, DCR could still be strongly undervalued, devs still have a lot of work to do, and we're gonna hear more news in the future. BTW, Charlie Lee has put Decred in one row with such coins, as Ethereum, Monero, Augur and Zcash (proof here), and even the one with the lowest marketcap, which is Zcash, is worth twice as much as Decred.
