Why this service has been created just now? This most abrupt that has been created on decred for all history of his development.


I have several questions:
1. Would be abruptly if the profit was removed in the BTC at once. Whether such feature will be added in the future?
2. When we can expect GUI-wallet?

I am very glad that you have undertaken development, my coins were unused as I couldn't begin because of technical difficulties, it was too difficult.

1. Yes, it can be added. I'm also going to launch dcr / btc exchange for easy deposits and withdrawals, maybe something like https://shapeshift.io would be a perfect option.

2. At least 2 teams are working on cross-platform GUI wallet, so I think we can expect it in a few months.

I will add some stats today. Currently the platform has 1166 Live tickets, 77 Voted tickets, 126.64 DCR Total Subsidy.

Yes, of course. You may think about this service like a web wallet for automatic PoS mining.
When the ticket price is good (you can set it, if you want), the platform will purchase tickets for you and the stake pool will start voting with them.

But please, keep in mind all the risks of using this platform. You shouldn't keep a lot of spendable coins in this service. The main idea that you either always invest up to ~100% into tickets (so, nobody in the world can withdraw those funds) or when you have many spendable coins and you don't want to buy new tickets - you withdraw funds to your private wallet for a better security.

Good use case: you invested 10,000 DCR and in few days the platform purchased for you 333 tickets / 33 dcr each.
Bad use case: you invested 1,000 DCR and set max ticket price to 15 DCR, so your funds stay spendable in the wallet 1-2 months.

It is not similar to staking via stakepool where you have complete control of your funds. Also his pool already has more than 10% tickets which was deemed as a stopping point for registration by decred devs. If you invest in his project you will be making whole network more centralized making you decred less valuable in effect. I know that currently one PoW pool controls almost 45% of hashrate which is not ideal and more reason to keep PoS decentralized to keep pool operator honest. I urge the community to weigh pro and cons before investing in Dyrk's project.

It is not similar to staking via stakepool where you have complete control of your funds.

It's absolutely similar to staking via stakepool, because I register every Evolution user in the stake pool automatically (import pubkeyaddress, script etc). So yep, I never announced this, because I don't want to confuse users and I'm trying to simplify their life as much as possible, but every Evolution user has his own already configured account in the stake pool and I can give you full access to it (login is your email and very long random password I generate for each user; write me to info@dcrstats.com if for some reason you want to login also to your stake pool account).

So, Evolution is Stakepool on steroids You have 100% features and control like in the any stake pool + full automatization of the process, cool web interface, mobile app, stats and more coming soon.

The only difference is that to allow this automatization (what is one of the main goals of the project) the platform should control private keys to sign new ticket purchase transactions. But that is how any crypto exchange work, I'm not very happy with this approach as well, but that is what we have for now in crypto world. If the project will be popular enough, later I will start thinking about even more secure solution, something like 2 of 3 multisigs, so eg: you can sign purchase transactions from your mobile device, which should be online 24/7. But at this stage Decred software is not yet ready for such complex solutions.

Guys, let's talk about EFT tokens (which all Evolution beta testers will receive for free based on % of their deposit compared to total fund size).

I don't want to use Ethereum network anymore, because it's too unstable. I think that BitShares may be a great alternative.

However, I want to talk with you about dividends. I think that, obviously, neither Bittrex nor Poloniex won't take care to pay you share from the tokens you have deposited to their exchanges.

So, I think that the best workflow is:
- monthly dividends will be shared between those token holders, who keep them (EFT tokens) in the platform (in this case we can pay them in DCR what is super cool).
- any token holder can withdraw his tokens to the exchange, by doing this he will lose his further monthly dividends, however, he can sell his tokens and the new owner can withdraw them back from Exchange to his Evolution Account and start receive the profit.

By doing this, we will pay first dividends to all beta testers (investors) already on 1 December 2016     
Because all tokens will be distributed in the platform (no smart contract yet and, of course, we don't want to go to exchanges yet), so you can receive your DCR to your private address.

PS: also I think that such realization is a better option for our US-based friends (and exchanges), because in this case EFT is the same asset as many others and can be traded everywhere. While the dividends is not part of the token itself, but a feature of Evolution Platform.

Custom Counterparty tokens can be used for a wide range of purposes and act as their own cryptocurrency, while still running on the Bitcoin blockchain. Unlike ordinary bitcoin, custom tokens can be used to represent any kind of value.

They're reliable.

Well, the dividend payments in Eth was a pretty great perk to me.  But, if we can get those dividends in DCR, that's even better!  I like the idea of tying that to the service, instead of the token as well.  Should make it quite a bit simpler and less prone to error.
