Any news about the graphic POS-wallet?  Roll Eyes

Just for windows for now.
Take a look at paymetheus wallet https://forum.decred.org/threads/dd-17-v0-5-0-10-10-16.4041/
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

There is also GUI for Mac and Linux. First page in this thread, there's all you need including getting started-info.

Add: I'm not sure about Linux and Mac gui's, that is there staking ability in those. Someone who knows better could tell? I only use command-line. But anyway, everything is threads first page.

I'm having issues reading the output of listtransactions.  First, it looks like the list is larger than the console window allows, so how can i dump such info to a file of some sort?  I'd like to see the transactions where i've purchased tickets and the transactions where ticket subsidy is sent to my address.  Also, how many coins I have vs how many are locked in tickets.  Is there a way to view such info in the wallet?  Is there some guide detailing how to read the output of listtransactions? Thanks!

Is btctalk the main hangout for the dcr community?  Just curious because I've been in Slack for about a week now and it's quiet enough to hear a pin drop in there.

On another note, appears we all get the opportunity for cheap dcr while btc is warming up Smiley

Why do you believe that?

Are there some catalysts coming up?

What is Decred?

Decred is a cryptocurrency, similar to Bitcoin, with a strong focus on community input, open governance and sustainable funding and development. It utilizes a hybrid “proof-of-work” and “proof-of-stake” mining system to ensure that a small group cannot dominate the flow of transactions or make changes to Decred without the input of the community. A unit of currency is called a ‘decred’ (DCR). To ensure the integrity of the currency and prevent people from making fraudulent transactions or creating their own coins, Decred uses a method of recording transactions known as a blockchain.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Proof_of_Stake

Governance

Layered form of transparent meritocratic governance that extends beyond proof-of-work and proof-of-stake mechanisms to bring forward and represent insider and outsider voices in the community
Bottom-up decision-making through the Decred Assembly – an evolving and inclusive list of community members who make non-financial contributions to the project through their work and effort
Project bound by the Decred Constitution on the core principles of finite issuance, privacy, security, fungibility, inclusivity, and progressive development of the technology that keeps these principles together

When i readed this, i got in. Imo best explonation for this project.  Bitcoin is mainstream and No.1 nobody can deny it. Lightning network is maybe added, but it still centralized to China.

Pow/Pos system is for avoiding that centralization and democratically vote yes/no updates made to software. I think this is innovative.
