What do you guys think it would happen if all the governments in the world declared bitcoin to be illegal?
How do you think the community would react? What could be the possible solutions?

Which country will ban it. Wait a second no country owns Bitcoin. Drugs are banned so don't people use it. People use it. So if it gets banned price will shoot up the sky. So ya banned or not banned I did use it.

Banning something is tantamount to saying it's illegal, I guess you cannot compare it with drugs as drugs is for consumption while bitcoin is a fuel to be able to transact online, it's not physical unlike drugs and it does not do harm into your body.

Definitely, it would bring a negative effect on the users as whole since our freedom has been compromise due to regulations that we need to follow to be safe.

It is true that their are so many users who are now earning a main income from bitcoin doing their skill work, trading and lot more and when they realize that Bitcoin is declared Illegal , all of them will get upset. Even in real i am also very much attached to bitcoin today i am free from financial problems due to bitcoins if it gets ban then i will be back in my old position of doing my daily job work and be satisfied with what i earn

I think if it is ban you can hide and use it anonymously since it has still have a value you can hide and use it and sell it in other places. and send your money in your places or use other payment processor instead of bitcoin.. before you can unhide..
For me it is still impossible that bitcoin should be ban since many people are already investing in bitcoin and more people are hoping for their future about bitcoin.. not only me that dreaming to become rich with bitcoin..

as time pass bitcoin is becoming more and more mature, as the number of bitcoin users are increasing continuously. i think the bitcoin users are available in all most all the countries of the world. so they are making bitcoin more and more stronger from its previous position. therefore governments are not going to banned bitcoin, and hope that in future all the countries of the world will start using it as legal currency.

my opinion is that you say the truth because bitcoin isn't controlled by any country, it can only be banned in specified place.

First of all Bitcoin cannot be banned by any single entity. Bitcoin is a decentralized International currency even though it doesn't have the characteristics similar to any other Fiat currency.

One country or two countries can ban Bitcoin for themselves. But they really cannot Ban it for everyone. So I do not see that Bitcoin will be banned in near future. Stay calm and keep earning bitcoin.

I will be very sad too, because government will prove that they are stubborn enough to not see the benefits in bitcoin especially when they just regulate it and put tax in it.  Letting bitcoin evolve and grow in their country and impose tax on transactions will bring them extra reveneu.

Most probably those who cannot move on with the ban will certainly commit to illegal act of trading and transacting with bitcoin.  Illegal not because of drug trades or whatever, Illegal transaction because bitcoin itself is illegal.

Well I hope it never happen,but if it does there will be little impact,the government will need big resources to track bitcoin users and it will be additional burden for them,using people's money to track something that is hard to track  and I don't believe government will treat bitcoin users as criminals..

If it happens that a government bans Bitcoin usage, then, that government isn't banning it for illicit or illegal activites, it is banning it because the government is afraid of what potential benefits and disadvantages/drawbacks Bitcoin may come with (benefits for users and drawbacks for banking system).

and while crying all day long, they will then dump bitcoin selling all BTC they have just to avoid being tagged doing illegal stuff in their country.  So we can see a sudden fall in price of bitcoin but eventually it will regain price because illegal activit will then thrive to it making people who are into illegal trade use bitcoin as medium of payment, another silkroad in my opinion.

If the btc was banned, I can't stop using it.

I just read that Russia just made bitcoin legal. Probably because they could not stop it and so that they can tax it. Ha ha. This is a good trend. Wonder what they are going to do now about the trend to anonymous.

Most of the people and bigger companies are already in the favor of bitcoin and they are getting a very good income from working for bitcoin so they will not accept that ban and will start strikes for the acceptance of bitcoin and the governments will have to accept it for the benefit of their citizens.
