if that would ever happen it would mean altcoins would become more valuable to make it difficult for who ever kills the major crypto coin by creation
of more coins to make it difficult for another altcoin been banned
Your logic is a bit flawed. If we are talking about bitcoin - then we mean it like it is a represent ant and an example of decentralized cryptocurrency.
There is no way that in situation when bitcoin got banned altcoins will remain free to use. That simply won't happen.
Bitcoin ban = no cryptocurrency at all, there would be place only for state controlled fiat money both digital and physical.

What countries have already banned bitcoin if any. Is it mainly banks that there is a issue with. I can imagine that if someone was to cash in alot of bitcoin and ended up with a large sum of money in their account it may raise some questions

I think it will be difficult for them to totally ban the bitcoin as they will not tracked down easily the btc as no one operates the btc manually.

The countries have an ability to control the BTC if they'd control internet. Looking for our history, great examples with Torrents and DC++.

If this happens it will be very shocking for the bitcoiners.Because nobody want bitcoin trade should be banned.I think some people continue to mine bitcoin and be the part of illegal activity.

No country may prohibit the use of bitcoin. He lives on the Internet and has no boundaries. This can hinder the use of bitcoin in trade, but he is not very common in this area. Cash bitcoin is always possible in exchange online and your score will drop currency that is recognized by the government. Such prohibitions will not stop bitcoin.

Possibly the government can control big exchange points.

I think it is not totally bitcoin has been banned in some countries maybe there are some sites that are not yet accessible for the people who are trying to surf on it. And then thats why in some areas bitcoin is not yet introduced or accepted but sooner or later government will see potential in this.

What do you guys think it would happen if all the governments in the world declared bitcoin to be illegal?
How do you think the community would react? What could be the possible solutions?
If all our governments ever manage to ban bitcoin we would expect a shift in interest for altcoins with better privacy protocols been adopted as a possible solution and community reaction.
But I honestly do not see this happening as bitcoin is among the transparent cryptocurrencies which leaves no reason to ban it.

If governments banned bitcoin, then we will be a bunch of hidden criminals, our only advantage is that they can't arrest us. So there is no need to worry, all they can do is to make bitcoin illegal but they will never stop us.

The bitcoin community would split up in two fractions: those who accept the ban, and those who would simply ignore it.
Many of those who would submit to the ban would sell their coins, what would lead to a decrease of price.
That opportunit would be used by those who still use bitcoin.
In general, I would say that the price would suffer, but bitcoin would not become worthless.

Even when banned people will still continue to use bitcoins, and those who use make a living with bitcoins will go underground and i believe due to its scarcity, The value of bitcoins will very much rise but i don't thinks its going to be very hard to cash out bitcoins when ban is authorized.

If the government thinks bitcoin is illegal, it's okay, because even if that happens, it's hard to stop people from trading with their bitcoins. I always support bitcoin
If the government will banned bitcoin then it is not that a big deal for the bitcoin user because bitcoin is only in the internet so they can easily bypass that law by using VPN which allow them to change their IP address into another place. If bitcoin was banned then there will be still a lot of people who can use bitcoin as a money and also an investment.

Bitcoin will not be able to disappear or be baned thoroughly, for example almost all world governments banned drugs, banning illegal weapons, prohibiting prostitution, etc. But in fact it is not useful, because it will never be eliminated thoroughly, especially bitcoin is money in the virtual world, which makes it more difficult to remove

I think there will be a lot of people going bankrupt and unemployed because now a lot of people have spent a lot of money to invest in bitcoins, they see bitcoin as their official job. If the banned bitcoin would have a very serious economic impact on many people, however, I think the banned bitcoin is unlikely. Bitcoin is not under his control, banning it is not possible, it can only automatically disappear but i think this is impossible

No, they will not go bankrupt just like that.
Banning something takes a while and they could somehow make some arrangements before it happens.
Plus, it wont happen worldwide. They can just go to some country and make a withdrawal there or maybe do their job there.
Governments will have their own decision whether to ban it or not. He could go to Japan if ever that happened in his country.

To the other guy, "disappear automatically" how exactly?

I agree with you. If I may add, you can just do everything online. If the exchange is based on Japan where bitcoin is legal, you will not be put in jail because it's legal where the office of the exchange is located. It's as if you did the transaction in Japan so you don't have to fly there just to exchange your bitcoins into fiat. If that's not the case by the time bitcoin gets banned, then you can simply hire a Japanese guy or contact someone you know that lives there to do the cash out for you.

Banning bitcoins completely will be hard because there will always be a country that will allow bitcoins. It's even a good move because the businessmen that can't do bitcoin business in their country will have to base their business in the country where bitcoin is legal. Thus, that country will collect more taxes which is very vital for a government.

I think those countries that collects more tax to people specially from businesses will allow that banning of bitcoin. But to think on it's advantages to the country, there's no positive effect in either ways progress of the country depends on how the economy circulates from people who spends their money. How can people will earn good amount of money if their freedom from bitcoins will be terminated and those growing business will be shutdown because of that possibilities; negative effects will be possible to happen to the people who used bitcoins for their living.
