What keeps you coming back???

I keep coming back because of that one or a couple of runs that I had where I felt invincible and made 20-30x of my bankroll, only to lose it gradually later on but I keep coming back hoping I could do that again and have a better strategy or control, in case I start losing again.

That is the point - we suddenly may have some huge winning streaks, but that does not mean that the luck has changed hands and it is on our side. Luck has the bad habit of slipping past our hands and we can easily lose all our money to the casino in the next bet.

Hence chasing losses should not be done if you wish to stop gambling. It is our hard earned money and we dont want to lose it - hence we go back to casinos to win it back.

Yeah. this feeling of invincibility and you thought that your luck will not ran out. Only to lose at the end is so frustrating. That's why you keep on coming back again and again to get the feeling again of having a good winning streak. Are you sure that you are making profits from the games you are playing ? If you are capable of making profits then there will be nothing wrong on keep coming back. People do come back into gambling just for having fun but over time they do get addicted to it. This is the point, you need to take care as I believe you are just into initial stages of gambling.

It's a smart choice for me because that is how it suppose to be played, playing for fun also is not risky for me because I will ensure that the amount I put is the amount I can afford to lose or an amount intended for having fun. The risk will only come if you will gamble to have fun and make money at the same time.

Unfortunately, most of the gamblers are not having same motivation why they are coming back to gambling. I do see they are giving some fake reasons to coming back to gambling and when they are not achieving what they are looking in their attempts then there will be no meaning of coming back.

At the same time when they are successful with their motivation there will be no harm to get back into gambling all the times. Do gamble if you are successful with it else quit it.

This is not just applicable to you because most of us are keep on coming back because of the chance of winning. Volume is the key when making positive expected value wagers.  By the law of large numbers, if you always make wagers with a positive expected value, then the greater volume of games you play the, more closely you will come to realizing your profit margin.  However, if you play with a negative expected value, as you do when you play against a house edge, the opposite is true.  When playing against the house edge, the greater volume you play, the more likely you are to sustain an overall loss.  I keep coming back because I make sure I play with a positive expected value, so the more I play, the more likely I will achieve a positive ROI.

I wouldn't say that it's 100% certain that he's addicted. That really depends on other factors as well.
If he comes back, while maintaining proper control over how much he spends, I wouldn't really call it addiction.

People who are addicted have almost no control over how much they spend and they will spend more than they can afford.

I agreed that doing gambling was giving a fun to everyone, that's true! And it's also true that losing in gambling was most often to happened to all of us who played in the gambling sites. When it's coming from an addiction, I'm pretty sure that is a huge one, when you are addicted all you want is just to gamble and have fun everybody but losing that big is not fun anymore. For average person who does only have small amounts of bitcoin lets say 5-10 btc or more and then he gambled on that base bet then he is already aware on what would happen and his bitcoin is on the risk and addiction is really hard to control specially when you do lose a particular bet and with that you will surely do next is to chase and hope to win it back that's why you increased your bet until you got busted.If you only have that money then you will surely cry or regret but if you are a whale with hundred or thousands of bitcoin then it wouldn't matter at all but still the risk of bankrupt is always there.
