so i got reply from cryptopia:
"1337 will need to trade above 1 sat for a little while longer before Cryptopia will consider adding it to a BTC market. 1337 has only been trading at this price for about the last 2 days. The DOGE / 1337 market will be open as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions. I will close this ticket. Thanks fairlady The Cryptopia Team"
this is good news:
1337/doge will be reopen soon and as trading volume above 1 satoshi is going on, 1337/btc market will be open at cryptopia and the price will sky rock!
i remind everyone not to dump their coins for the greed of few satoshis, if we hold and stake our coins for a while the price can get really high, more than 10 satoshi in the next few weeks and even to arounf 100 satoshi in the future.
thank you for contacting them. that's good news indeed. as for people selling their 1337, thats just how things work right? buy low, sell high, make some profits. the price of 1337 has been low for a long time. im glad to see that its finally starting to pay off the people that invested and kept investing in 1337.
as for me, im quite happy too of course with the increased value and the growing community. it will help to open more doors, now and in the future. i think we have some good times ahead of us! when i took over the coin back in the days, my main focus was on finding a purpose for this coin and building some services around it. besides the coding part, finding ways to give more uses to 1337 will always be the main goal for me.
Which brings me to the next thing i want to discuss. i'd like to re-introduce our Stake2Play project. the main reason why i paused that project was the low value of 1337 and low buy support across the markets. thats no longer the case. in fact, it should be possible to offer some higher priced items and games under current market conditions. i bought some games in the past which i will offer at a highly discounted rate on cryptopia's marketplace. I will also take requests for specific (new) games and giftcards. 1337 merchandise and merchants who are willing to accept 1337 for their products and services are also on top of my list and ive been talking to several people to make it happen in a short time-frame.
Hey guys
I just invested into 1337. I really see some great potential. I read this has a server for Minecraft. How do you get 1337 coins in Minecraft? This seems like a really promising feature. I cannot wait to see what the future for this coin holds.
There's a new MineCraft server in the making now by some very 1337 MC gamers. more updates on that soon. i think its best if they post the screenshots of their hard work, and not me.
Another new project (inspired by the DOGE community) that came on my path which currently is in beta phase is:
For people who arent familiar with Folding @ Home:
http://folding.stanford.edu/about/Folding@home (FAH or F@h) is a distributed computing project for disease research that simulates protein folding, computational drug design, and other types of molecular dynamics. As of today, the project is using the idle resources of personal computers owned by volunteers from all over the world. Thousands of people contribute to the success of this project.
ok cool, so now what?we are going to try to raise more awareness for this awesome project and we will reward our community members who join our team on the Fold @ Home site. as you can see in the screenshot i posted, there is a ranking page with some stats. together with the 1337Foundation we setup a staking wallet dedicated for this cause. all stakes will be shared among all participants. basically, all you need to do is join our team and use your 1337 address as your username and you'll get the rewards paid out weekly. so far there's 10M in the wallet. fold @ home offers software and mobile apps to start folding... you can even just use your chrome browser. more info
http://folding.stanford.edu/start-folding/any guides how to compile on linux?
i want to stake the coins using my VPS, if that's more practical to do.
