I joined up over here in 2012-13. At the time it seemed like a way to make a quick buck. Overtime as i read about it more and more, i became interested in the freedom it provides. As time has went on however, my interest and belief in bitcoin have waned. I won't get into the details of why, but i'm wondering what your honest opinion of bitcoin is, with a simple vote, and possibly an explanation.
I joined about the same time. At the time I was very interested in Bitcoin from a technical point of view, and I'm still interested just as much. Starting with the first bubble of 2013 (i.e. April), 90%+ of the people seemingly "interested" in Bitcoin were just circle jerking in their greed. Don't get me wrong: I'm cool with greed, but people that were just hanging around because, you know, get rich quick 'n all, they bring nothing, nada, zip, nil to the community. Go watch your ticker, feed another trollbox and stop making noise. And I won't even get into details about the horrible shitcoin spree all over the place at the same time. Then it started deflating, and my hopes were that it would weed out the noise (on this forum and in general). I don't know if it actually happened. At least the developments on max block size extensions are interesting to follow. I dont believe into the bitcoin anymore and that is because the bitcoin has dropped allot of his value and that is not good for the future of the bitcoin as you can see allot of people are stopping to use the bitcoin now is this the end? Nope. Definitely not the end. Just because many people are stopping to use bitcoin doesn't mean everyone SHOULD be ending their use as well. They are probably only quitting bitcoin because they lost profit when they bought bitcoin at ~$700+ and then the value dropped. I feel sorry for them for feeling defeated. I do. But as for me, I am just really lucky because I bought most of my coins when the price was at ~$400 back in December and was able to sell quite a lot of coins when it hit the ~$750 mark. And that is because you were able to impose patience in investing and that is more important if you want to earn money in bitcoin. You need to have the discipline to hold your coins and never sell that for a loss unless you don't believe in bitcoins anymore. |

Well at present answer is yes since it has many benefits that it can offer and help the world to transfer the money without anytime and with cheapest fee. Also after that there are many alt coins being created and how many closed or have no value in the market that is different story.

I still believe in bitcoin. Because it is a real money for the internet. Before maybe i don't believe in bitcoin. Because nowaday no one can earn a free money. Because he said. Bitcoin is a money. I don't believe that. Cause i don't know what is bitcoin. After i experience to cash out all my bitcoin. Worth of 500php. that time i believe that bitcoin is a money. And then i work hard to earn a bitcoin. And i gather my all earning from faucet and other website that earning bitcoin. 😎 |

I wish one day we can earn bitcoin directly from the work. |

I do still believe in Bitcoin but that is because it allowed me to make money all this time and there is no reason for me to quit with it at the moment. What I want to see is the price after the halving and how it is going to effect certain things. |

I certainly do. I just have landed a full time job again but I am still going to keep going in my spare time to earn bitcoin as it has created a good side economy and has helped many people and still will help many who cannot find work in regular jobs etc. I believe bitcoin will empower many people into the future, young and old.

I still believe in Bitcoin and that is because the halving is also coming and that would be nice but you never know what is going to happen with the value that can be risky. But we just have to wait for a price increase and that would be nice for the future if we can make profit soon this year. |

Halving won't be as excited as we expected, as price has again started to go down, so I think its an end of price rally, be satisfied with the price that you see at halving. |

It took me about good two/three weeks to convince myself that Bitcoin is real thing. I also had some fears when one of my friend told me for the first time. I just kept reading and collecting information about Bitcoin. I don't care of price which can anytime by all time high by any reason. When I decided to enter in Bitcoin's world my believe is unshakable. I do believe good/bad phases come and go now Bitcoin is much more trustworthy than ever.

I personally still believe in Bitcoin because of it's relative new-ness in the financial sector, the strong community that has grown around it, and the value that it has even after 7 years have finally passed.
I think if more people got interested with it and there was more general adoption or interest I would have more faith in Bitcoin, but maybe it's time to think of Bitcoin as a largely valued investment, and less as a standard currency.

I don't mean that bitcoin don't worth to believe, I personally myself too much believe on bitcoin. but I consider other features of bitcoin instead of just price increase. bitcoin is a good currency and also very trusted thats why I believe it. no matter if bitcoin price drop or rise. |
