add Powercoin ,worldcoin and nible as CANDIDATES

Get a VPN - Protect yourself
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

At the rate coins are coming out people may temporarily jump ship from the current coin they are mining just for the speculation on it. This is not good for any previously released coin because it seems like it does not get a full chance to succeed beyond a pump and dump. This is how we end up with Bazaar threads in hopes someone wants to buy a new coin (or bar) that someone else may also have some blind faith in.

I wish the community could agree or vote on new coins first. If a coin gets a vote it should be in place for at least 2 weeks before any new coin can be released. In addition to BTC and LTC there should be no more than 3 other alt coins, each of them being different or bringing something of value to the table. A public calendar with coin release dates and all required information available at launch so it would be a fair release to all. If you have read to this point........don't actually expect anything previously mentioned to happen.

people are voting with their websites, mining power, and purchasing power.  that's the free market for ya!

Coinbase for selling BTCs
Fold for spending BTCs
PM me with any questions on these sites/apps!  http://www.montybitcoin.com

or Vircurex for trading alt cryptocurrencies like DOGEs
CoinNinja for exploring the blockchain.

Looks good! thanks for leaving Doubloons off the list, they aren't spam but they certainly aren't currency candidates yet either.

It's digitalcoin not digicoin, and it was not moved up suddenly. There were announcements each time we were ahead of schedule and a count down that was also updated in the thread title and thread. The proof of all of this is the digitalcoin thread.

corrected to digitalcoin.

don't tell me what I red and saw. I saw at least 2 edits of OP changing what coin will be and when.

You said diff 1
I asked how did you mined it?
you said "slowly" and then pasted a picture of 4x gigabyte 79x0 card rig. like you mined it on GPUS...
than you edited OP that actualy it will start @ diff 0.1 but there will be no reward until diff 1
you said launch is predicted around thursday or smth
next day, when I check forum, and coin is launched 4 times quicker with 0.00024 diff and rewards from beginnig.
post  #7 and OP edited again....

I did go neutral on it. just posting facts, not my opinion.

I would just mention that Worldcoin was "falsely accused" of the premine part. Speculators can try to build a case about security and bloating, but a troll accused it of premining and build a rumor, so perhaps delete that one accusation.
Thx for this list of coins, nice job!

premine and instamine are different things. not to have instamine you would have to make a start @ diff 1 that requires some serious coding, not just some parameters change.

I also mentioned that post was subject to change as things developed at any time for that reason.

There were multiple configurations being tested and I was updating as development progressed.

Awesome thread. I read all the coins, but some descriptions are kind of vague.
Do any of them match these? I want to make at least one, if not all of these in the next 5 years. Please contact me if you can help.

EDCoin- The coin meant to be mined by the computers in school libraries to help fund the education of our planet (since people know schools are mining them, they will be willing to buy coins for no extra motivation except to help schools). Allow schools to premine.

TestCoin: A coin so easy to mine, it can teach anyone how to use mining software, while making them feel like they are getting tons of coins (like 100,000 coins released per block or something). Also meant to be given away freely, to get people interested in Coins.

CoinCoin: A Coin that should never be exchanged for USD. A coin meant to be used to get coins with.

USA Coin- 50% of the coin goes to miners, 50% goes to paying off the huge national debt

Economy Coin- 50% of the coin goes to miners, 50% goes to trading for American dollars. The goal is to eventually constantly buy American dollars above value to stimulate the economy. Other countries could use it for the same purpose.

Charity Coin- 75% of the coins go to the company that made it, and the company gives out free mining machines once they start making money

Patient Coin- A coin whose value is measured in hash instead of dollars or Bitcoins

Solar Coin- The coin that is working towards making solar powered mining machines.

Seed Coin:
I am going to have thousands of seeds soon from a few different species of plants.
I want to make a coin that has no dollar value, but has multiple exchange rates listed in seed.

Collectable Coin-
A coin with such a low total amount that it will only be mined for a limited time. This coin could be used to test what will happen to Bitcoin when it runs out of coins to pay miners (there will have to be a transaction fee that goes to the miners)

NAFTA Coin- Basically make a "Canamexamerican" currency before the government makes one they can control

TexCoin- Coin to be announced in Texas, meant to help Texas detach itself from the National Debt of the country.

Water Coin- A coin that can be traded for clean drinking water (buy a bunch of water bottles to send out before launching the coin)

BioCoin- A coin that can be traded for Biodiesel

ETcoin- Meant to be the currency between humans and whatever extra terrestrial species we contact first (maybe like 10% goes into an account to be given to them when they get here). Basically it will be like when the Indians gave spices and stuff to Columbus.

ZombieCoin- A coin that is meant to die and come back to life repeatedly

SportsCoin- To be used between friends to bet on games

Slavecoin- Only available to merge mine. 100% of coins mined go to a Slavecoin faucet that lets out different amounts every time.

If everyone is thinking outside the box, there is a new box.

EDCoin - impossible to decentralize
TestCoin: easy
CoinCoin: impossible to force people what to do
USA Coin- hard to find gov official to convert coins on exchange, impossible to decentralize

Patient Coin- impossible to force people what to measure with
Solar Coin- no way to force it in the protocol
Seed Coin: impossible to force people what to do
Collectable Coin- easy, with low or no economy, coin will die when reward drops to zero
NAFTA Coin- easy, just another clone
TexCoin- easy, just another clone
Water Coin- impossible to force people what to do
BioCoin- impossible to force people what to do
ETcoin- impossible to force people what to do
ZombieCoin- arent there a lot of them allready? mincoin , feathercoin, freicoin ?

There was no premine, and at least the coin was not announced the second it was launched. You guys usually gripe about all coins having 0 diff at start, at least this was not the case. I sense the butthurt.

If you want to make a real coin list, regardless of how useless or not you believe they are, it should probably be neutral.

Could use an update, but much more neutral and informative nonetheless.

1. Edcoin: Not impossible to decentralize. I bet if schools were given the option to premine, kids and insiders would be mining. And the schools goal would be to sell the coins, so they wouldn't be hoarding them for 51% control.

2. I'm not trying to force people. It's just the mission of the coin. There is a porncoin, but just because you have porncoins doesn't mean you have to go pay cam girls.

3. I never suggested that a government official be involved,.

4. Whoever makes the coin would get the coins and be responsible.

5. Who would want to decentralize a coin that is giving them free stuff. And every coin that gives money to the developer has a chance of corruption.

6. It is not impossible to force people to measure in hash. You just make multiple sites an forum threads about the price compared to hash. If they trade it for money, fine. That's on them.

7. There is to a way to force it into protocol. By giving a percentage to the coins developer.

8. Same as the hash coin, as long as I put the exchange rate, it's done. They can trade for cash if the want to between each other, but it will be listed as seeds.

Replying to the rest now, my computer is freezing up.

If everyone is thinking outside the box, there is a new box.

9. No, the coin won't die. Have you not read about what happens to BTC when they run out of coins? This coin could be the test to see if we can for sure get that done.

10. True (Like China Coin)

11. True (same)

12. Not impossible. If you open THE ONLY water coin store, and the only thing you sell is water. Then it's done.

13. Not impossible, same situation.

14. No impossible to force people, since the coins are being saved in a wallet, they don't have to "do" anything.

15. Are those MEANT to fail?

16. Not impossible if you make the only website that accepts them

17. Hopefully.

If everyone is thinking outside the box, there is a new box.
