How is it that you list NXT and Mastercoin so highly when they aren't even traded in a legitimate exchange?

Also, aren't NXT and Mastercoin both 100% premined?

How is 100% premined and running an exclusive exchange not similar to what Bernie Madoff was running?

Let's get some transparency here folks!

Very small volume is a sign that all three NXT/Ripple/MasterCoin should not be compared by market cap. Distribution model is different and the actual number of coins distributed is unknown, so counting all of them is an obvious mistake.

Very small volume ... running in PRIVATE exchanges should tell you something.

Plus you keep saying these coins like Mastercoin and NXT are innovative.

All of their claims are VAPOR WARE.  NONE OF THE ADVANCED FEATURES EXIST OR WORK!   Even Protoshares is a clone,  it is just a funding vehicle for something that will come in the FUTURE!

YOU ARE PLACING COINS ON TOP BECAUSE THEY ARE INNOVATIVE, BUT THEY HAVE NOT IMPLEMENTED ANYTHING YET!!

You should also place iXcoin on the top of the list because... we plan on implementing the same innovation.  Like Mastercoin, Protoshares and NXT,   we haven't implemented it yet!

Hello,

Could DGC move to major alternatives?  We have a higher market cap than both Zetacoin and Devcoin(coins in Major Alternatives as of now) and higher than all the other Noticeable Alternatives.

Regards,
Baritus

LOT - Lottocoin
BFC - Butterflycoin
CIN - Cinnamoncoin
GRC - Gridcoin
DAT - Datacoin
LOVE - Lovecoin
MOON- Mooncoin
STR - Starcoin
CAT - Catcoin
DIME - Dimecoin
UFC - FederationCredits

UFC is on the list - under startrek inspired cons, they have a single announcement thread. I will update it and add the "UFC" for easier search.

All others are comming in the next update.

Thank you all for help and support!

GRC-Gridcoin is still missing. The only coin which benefits the real science combining boinc computation and coin mining.

Agreed.

By one guy's opinion. But I guess the list is under a free license, so go ahead and copy it with your improvements but be aware that you will not receive much love by 99% of all alt-coin fans as you also will end up putting 99% of all coins below the top of the list.

Please add Catcoin to this list.

Touting itself as the Scrypt version of Bitcoin with absolutely zero pre-mine and based on the beloved cat memes.
Harder to mine than most other coins since it shares the same specs as Bitcoin.

360 page thread on Catcoin @ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=380130.0

Average 50 BTC volume per day on 3 exchanges

Please consider adding the dev's name and if they are active or AWOL with regards to the coin they represent.

"We" have to be careful to what extent we trust the OP. Nothing more. He can do whatever he wants. He could claim that LTC is backed by french cheese. So what. Make up your own list.
As there is a lot of money involved, it is hard to have some neutral wiki pages about this, especially with the laissez fair attitude of the wiki admins but I would love to have this organized in the wiki. You could use categories * and have some formalized template of how to organize the information and that would allow people to get up to speed about this jungle of cryptos much faster than it is possible now but the bitcoin wiki will not work.

* oh my god how embarrassing … the pirate party in Germany used what I am referring to but that got sort of out of hands and now there is really everything in the tree of "Users by whatever".
To see how it makes sense, please look at https://wiki.piratenpartei.de/Kategorie:Benutzer_kann_Filmen which is the category for "users who know video production". Each of these users have other categories down to kind of stupid ones.
