True, but it's actually not even close to every coin out there & hasn't been updated in a while. There are quite a few websites now that show every coin, over 1000+ if I recall right.

I find somewhat ironic that MYR didn't make it to the list in time by last edit 2014-01-05 yet it's still alive and the best has yet to come!

It scares me just how many altcoins there are here. Why don't we just make a program to create new altcoins. Enter name, block size, number of blocks, algo, amount to premine, press go.

List is outdated and old.

We might even be at the 500+ mark and don't know.  There's probably more failed alts than active contributors in the alternate section.

Wish I could find that site again, sure it had over 1000 coins just last week or so. If I can find it in all the 100's of favorite folders, it will be post.

Just a pointer to our candidate for a list of all altcoins, if anyone's interested ...

DOACC (Description of a CryptoCurrency) is an exhaustive collection of altcoin metadata.

The collection currently has data for a total of 1536 altcoins.

It's maintained in a Github organisation repos:
https://github.com/DOACC

and published as an RDF graph of ntriples, amenable to further processing
https://github.com/DOACC/individuals

(There's also an OWL ontology for the domain and an accompanying collection of coin logos.)

We also publish it as browsable Linked Open Data (well, that's the intention, as soon as the boat's stopped rocking):
http://minkiz.co/lod

and provide a SPARQL endpoint for querying the graph:
http://minkiz.co/sparql

as well as handy-to-navigate lists:

Name->Symbol lookup: http://minkiz.co/coin/name/
Symbol->Name lookup: http://minkiz.co/coin/symbol/

And if you just want to browse, there's a one-page iliiustrated listing:
http://minkiz.co/coin/

Cheers

I think HYPER should be added to the list in the OP: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=624651.0

HYPER runs Counter-Strike servers, Just Cause 2, Minecraft, a space MMO game and more all integrating or planning to integrate the currency. A HYPER Eve Online Corp is currently being established.
