Let's say at some point anybody succeded purchasing 51% of the total circulating Lisk, how you prevent that person to vote his own 101 "friends" and therefore take control over Lisk making it centralized ?
51% is not enough to elect 101 active delegate. And I don't see any financial reason for this.

Crypti, which is 100% the same, just compare the website, isn't even 1 cent. So sure, LISK will be 1 dollar.
Keep dreaming.
Lisk has a huge fund for developing, Crypti - no. It's a point.

Hi Lisker's!
In my professionnal life I have over 15+ years of experience as web developer and sysadmin. I now work in a big cloud company as SysAdmin DevOps Senior. I follow this project for the last month and I invested a fair share in the ICO. Also I plan to be active on the voting system. (The right to vote give the right to bitch, sorry translated expression)
What I can offer is:
- Dedicated physical server (Dell R200 with Xeon Quad core, 4 GB Memory, Battery backup and RAID1 HDDs)
- Dedicated VLAN for network isolation
- Top of the line security system (firewall/antivirus/monthly security update/etc)
- Professional monitoring system to minimize downtime to planned maintenance
- Always up-to-date lisk software
- Sharing reward to fund good dapp project
What I can't offer is 'over promotion', 'buying vote system', etc.
Do you think it worth it that I start preparing a dedicated server to be delegate ? Do you think best setup over 'social media/ forum popularity contest' will have chance to be 'elected'?
I'm not only asking this question to decide if I'll run for delegate but also I have concern that popular joe blow with basic desktop computers will run those nodes. After reading the guide, I'm asking myself about security audit of the known ip of the elected node, also about ddos protection ... Do you think 101 nodes is enought to protect against those treats ? Could it be problematic to the project ?
I think you certainly have a chance To get elected with your background and machine setup. This is the core what delegate should provide and it might be enough at the beginning but in the long run people who are adding k value beside taking care about the node will be elected. There are many ways to do so.. There is no need to have best hardware to run a node, but I doubt that anyone with regular desktop gonna be voted Please post on https://forum.lisk.io, there is a section for delegates there where we can have all candidates in one place, and later they can update what they are doing for Lisk. You can count on my vote

Misunderstanding group name. Lisk is a platform, or blockchain S in worst case, not a blockchain only.

i think the ico lasted too much, if it had been ended before around 2 week after the lauch, we could have an exchange ready, now we are stuck in this limbo and we can not trade this coin

Hi guys, I have started the development of a mobile lisk light wallet. It is fairly advanced and hope to launch it around the mainnet launch. Here are the features that will be present at launch: - switch between mainnet and testnet (50% done) - autodiscovery of peers (done) - multiple accounts management (done) - QRcode scan to register an account (done) - send LISK to your contacts or using QRcode (66% done) - secure your passphrases with master password (high standard security, using AES, salted password hash) (90% done) - simple transactions inspection (50% done) maybe at launch: - delegates dashboard (follow the delegates you voted for, uptime etc...) - network health dashboard Future features: please propose, I may develop some kind of democratic Dapp to vote, finance and let the community push for their priorities. I believe this is something still unseen in ETH environment and will add a strong value to the LISK. I am not affiliated to the LISK Team and have done the development on my own fundings so far. To finance development of the app I propose : - For everybody: to vote for my delegate (name of the delegate will be disclosed after them mainnet launch) - For people that are part of 101 delegates forging accounts: to send me monthly amount of LISK your choice (account will be publicly disclosed after the launch, in the future a special "active delegate" menu will be present in the mobile app). If agreed, the delegates will be present on a sponsoring page for general awareness and reputation. A few videos/screenshots (under dev): Send LISK to contact. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7dziKLW8NoQR code can (your account address is automatically registered) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JM9GoeGdlNwGeneral overview so far https://i.imgur.com/vzp473H.gifThanks for your attention! Cheers wow man now THAT is a nice piece you are working on right there, impressive. i will for sure test that badboy out when it's ready , let me know if you need an outside tester anytime as for suggestions, you already have some awesome features there, and all i could suggest is what you mentioned a poll system , anything keeping with/connecting the "demogratic dapp to vote" you mentioned would be perfect good work man, how much technical knowledge did that take to make if i may ask? now THATS a node ill support personally hee hee

Guys I'm having a strange problem, I've made 4 exchanges during the ico, I've tried the 4 passphrase on the main site and I log in perfectly. Today I was trying again my 4 passphrase, but after I set one of them I logged in, but the Liks address was different from the one I've in the TXT and in the ICO page. 2 out of 4 gave me access but the address was wrong, different. Of course the passphrase are right, and I've even a screenshot of them, so no changes have been made to the txt file, screenshot and txt have same information. Now after another try one of the 2 access gave me the right address. But one of them is still giving me a different address. I've already opened a support ticket, but anybody have the same issue?
