Lisk DPoS forging can be done on a rasberry-pi or laptop, it doesn't cost 0.01% of the electricity needed to power a mining farm.
ETH mining farms need to sell their ETH on daily basis to keep up with the cost electricity & overhead...
yeah but we have only 101 delegates, maybe if the community increases we will need more than 101 and thus more people will be attracted by lisk
One thing I dont like about Lisk, is that I can't, me myself, realisticallty decide i want to become a delegate and start mining Lisk. The process to become a delegate seems unfair, tedious and too involving, AND I have to receive the blessing of others which I do not control of course. i like better true PoS coins in that aspect. If I recall correctly, with a forging pool, I think you can vote for a delegate (cost of that is 1 LISK) and a portion of what they forge, it gets distributed to those who voted for the pool's delegate.

Just a quick reminder from the blog post Lisk website:
You can expect that during the first 3 months after release we will put the biggest focus on security, scalability, and optimisation of the whole Lisk ecosystem.
Obviously we will also finish up the pre-launch items and work on other things, but as written above we want to get the perfect foundation to build on in the coming years. After that we will start to work on new features, core apps, and so on. More details later. Further, a question to the Lisk team: I saw several conferences which Lisk will attend to and that is all great. While I was searching for an upcoming event for in Amsterdam, I saw this one: 9 June, Amsterdam Blockchain conference With speakers like: Sergei Lonshakov - DAO, Decentralized Autonomous Organization Annish Mohammed - Ripple Labs, Advisor Peter Oakes - FinTech Ireland, Founder & Chief Risk Officer at Bank of America Merchant Services Jacob Boersma - Deliotte, Managing consultant in digital identity and security Bas Wisselin - NXT Foundation, Board Member Richard Kastelein - Blockchain News, Founder & Publisher And many others.. Why is Lisk not part of this Conference? http://www.blockchainamsterdam.com/Upcoming events: http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-events/
