I store my bitcoin in a desktop wallet in a computer that is encrypted and never online, it is a mistake to store an significant amount of money in an online wallet since you are not the sole possessor of your private keys and you are subject to hacks.
Some would also say it's a mistake to store a huge amount of bitcoins on a computer - offline or online - as they're so susceptible by nature to a variety of disasters, versus something such as an encrypted multisig paper wallets. I don't know any of them, but if there are people that really think like that, then literally no form of storing coins will nurse their feeling of security. It's beyond being ultra paranoid. From my understanding, there is no better option than storing your digital wallet files offline in numerous usb drives and other hdd's. That also goes up for paper wallets if they are created under the right circumstances. That's why it comes handy to have an old fashion printer without any features beside its main purpose. USB's are just computers which means they're just as susceptible as desktop apps. I don't think one can be ultra paranoid when it comes to their life savings (which is the amount of coins I'm saying that computers aren't secure enough, I'm talking about a lot). Believe me, I know how susceptible and prone to breaking computers can be, but since I have knowledge in computers I prefer to deal with those risk than to risk to create a paper wallet, and then worry for fires, thieves, deterioration of the paper, damage by water and a long string of other risks that I’m not prepared to deal with.

I use a wallet on the blockchain, because it is free, easy to use and the security system seems very strong to me. Every time I have to enter ID, password, get a confirmation letter on my email and confirm the attempt to log in. Then if everything is okay I can enter my wallet on another link. And blockchain is warning me that I'm not really secured. Well, I think the system is reliable and I don't want to pay for keeping my btc.

Like are you asking where do we store bitcoins or like how do we manage to store bitcoins. For the answer to the first question. Most of the people trust blockchain to store their BTCbut there are many other wallets where you can store bitcoins. Now coming to the next question many people do store bitcoins as they have a greed in them like when the value of BTC BTC increase they will convert it into their currency. But few people prefer to use it rather and satisfy themselves

Mostly I usually prefer to use online web wallet service which also offer you privatekeys of you bitcoin wallet address. Having private keys of your own bitcoin address is very important to keep your bitcoins safe and secure.
Even user can also use clod storage or paper wallets to keep their bitcoins safe. Still would like to recommend higher security for your wallet service.

Just be careful with online wallets since hackers are always looking for ways to get access to those sites and get to your coins, if you really need to use an online wallet then enable two factor authentication and only keep there bitcoin you are going to spend in the near term.

Yup, nothing is wrong with using an online wallet as a "hot wallet" that you only keep spending money on to go shopping with. However don't treat it like your savings account that you keep your entire retirement in, that's what hardware/offline/paper wallets are for!

Having even a hardware wallet is comprising the bitcoins stored on it. When you access it over a network that has a computer that is infected with malware either with coinstealer software or ransomware installed on it you never know until it is to late. I think the only way to be completely safe is have an offline linux box to access hardware wallets.

Lol I know it will be very safe, but it would be very complicated when you're going to do bitcoin transactions. better use online wallet, and add the authentication will be very safe and flexible

Hello everyone as the title says ^ Do you store your bitcoins online or on a wallet on your computer, perhaps cold storage?
Actually sir I am using online wallets for now. As we can see, their is complains in the online wallet. But because it is a online we need to be careful, anytime the online wallets has shutdown all your money will be lost. I'm using online wallet cause I got only small value of bitcoin maybe later I will change my online wallet to cold for protection of my money.

People learn only when they get burned. I'm reading comments and I noticed how many people keep their coins on exchange, or online wallets. That is OK as long there isn't big problem's, but what will happen if they crash? What will happen with your coins? Keep your coins safe, pay more attention on security. I learned my lesson on hard way, and even there is many threads and comments we are lazy to do something. Don't wait, protect yourself before shit start to happen.

Hello everyone as the title says ^ Do you store your bitcoins online or on a wallet on your computer, perhaps cold storage?
I stored all of my bitcoin in online bitcoin wallet blockchain. Blockchain is my first bitcoin wallet and i don't have any issue so far, that's why i trust blockchain to stored all my bitcoins. Actually i never try a offline wallet in my computer, because it's a bit risky if our computer get a virus or something bad.

But desktop wallet nowadays could be integrated to your wallet in mobile so, its function is actually as the same as online wallet but it just can't be accessed without special app but, still nowadays people are already having some sort of gadget with advanced technology.
