Yes, it depends on individual mindsets and the purpose for which the person intend to use bitcoin. Bitcoin is not actually meant to be used for illegal activities but to provide some for of privacy,freedom and simplicity in terms of financial transaction. I have never use bitcoin for illegal activities and I do not think I will ever.

Each people does spend and use regular markets to make their transactions, but people that sell drugs and forbidden products can do the same at those marketplaces, soo dark marketplaces get interest and people do busines with any crypto and with fiat not a surprise at all.

If it's illegal, have a reason, for example USA banned pokerstars because people lose money playing poker... So, in the government mind, is better ban it, so people can spend the money in another things.

Money is just a medium of exchange, money is not an end on itself, money is just a way to facilitate the trading among people, bitcoin has made easier a lot of transactions in the world but money is not a moral agent, that is up to the people that use bitcoin.

We can not change that bitcoin is just alternative payment and we know many people in darkmarket places are using bitcoin for transaction because of anonymously but its not the case since many people also doing illegal activity on fiat or money.. they are just the same.. not only in bitcoin..

Well, there are a lot of educated people who have jumped into the bitcoin arena to take advantage of those who aren't as informed as themselves.  There have been quite a few defunct exchanges, HYIP's, market places,....etc that have used their skills to take advantage of those who're less educated in this space.  <--- That fact discourages many from adopting bitcoin, in and of itself.

Actually, gambling may be a very bad idea if you cannot judicially make use of the limited income you have for tangible things but decide to spend it all on gambling. Some people are like that, they can gamble all their life savings which is bad. If you must gamble, then do it with the money you can afford to loose.
