YES, Bitcoin is mainly use for illegal things such pedo, drugs, guns, HYIPs, hacks...
A normal person wouldn't need BTC (a highly volatile commodity) to make payments; yes, you can use it a investment instrument but nothing more. it's like you will use stocks to buy a laptop. it's a nonsense. Smiley

I think that there are several peole who are interested in terrorist-em and that they use the coin as a good paymethod for all kind of illegal stuff. But i dont know for sure but bitcoins are not secured pay so it is possible.
it might just happen to mask the identity of the seller of course, they must use the payment method that is very anonymous and bitcoin can do that ? some time ago there was news that ISIS using bitcoin?
I did not know it was bad news or good news?

Who did say that bitcoin are the only one use most in illegal activities? Say dumb to that person.

All financial sources of income can be used in illegal activities because in general they are money. So as long as person with illegal intent can benefit to that kind of financial source then it will be used mostly.

I think their purpose for using it is to buy illegal materials with it, like buying weapons, drugs etc. as it is anonymous to send to anyone so so no one will know that from whom that money has came and who is being using that materials which are purchased with that money.

In most cases they just choose bitcoin because of it's less hassle transaction to send and receive money. Also the anonymous part of transaction are one of the big factor that's why it was considered now as one of their sources.

Exactly due to the anonymous nature bitcoin transaction is more hassle free compared to the transaction to any other form of currency. In reality we can't say that bitcoin alone is used for illegal activities. According to ones convenience each use different currencies.

Talk about that spur the growth of Bitcoin illegal financial fraud, are to this day. But we must understand that the universal technology, use it for good or harm - it is solved by people. With Google Maps, you can plan a picnic as well as a bank robbery.

Yeah, everything has a flip side in my opinion. A technology is a technology, and what people choose to do with that technology is entirely up to them. While bitcoin is used for illegal activities, it's not bitcoin's fault.

Your example of google maps is really well done. That's exactly the relationship between illegal activities and bitcoin.

Lots of things are used for illegal activities. It does not mean something should not be used. Words and letters are also used for illegal activities by the way - terrorists are using them to communicate. So we should use them with care, maybe we are potential terrorists?
Yeah there are many things that are used in a bad way so Bitcoin is not the only thing. But to answer your quistion Bitcoin is being used for illegal activities sins the beginning.

i think it might be used for illegal things because bitcoins is anonymous therefore people can avoid problems
Yeah some people make use of the fact that you can be anonymous at Bitcoin. You know that when you implement something like this people will make use of it in a bad way.
yeah a lot of people who know the advantages of bitcoin about its identity system. bitcoin has a system of anonymous and if you ordinary people you will never maximize this system? if you're a criminal course of this anonymous system will greatly assist in the transaction? but besides bitcoin used for illegal credible form. of course occur in other currencies as well

Bitcoin is being used by some people i a illegal way but there is nothing we can do so we just have to ignore that. It is not my problem so there is no reason for me to come between that.

I see more and more acrticles of bitcoin being used for illegal activities
will this hurt bitcoin in the long run , will governments ban this just like they started to do wih paying in cash for some services
to harden the use of illegal , and money laundering

lmao . dude do you have an idea about the deepweb or darkweb ? bitcoin is already used for illegal activities or transactions from the darkweb . the reason why it is used for it because they want to keep their anonymity . so much year passed but the government didn't made an act to ban the use of bitcoin but it is not impossible to happen .

Right now yea definitely. Bitcoin is the dream medium for illegal transactions, it's unregulated and anonymous plus you can send any amount of money to anyone anywhere in the world at no cost. I believe criminal activities account for a nice portion of daily Bitcoin movement.

I do not understand why those guys do not use the Monero. That is a true anonymous coin. Bitcoin is just pseudo anonymous.

With Monero they might not be able to move as much money without destabilizing the market. Monero daily volume has ranged between $30,000 to $500,000 so far in 2016. And it has never reached above $1,000,000. Plus Bitcoin is anonymous enough right now since ID verification is not required. You can track the movement of coins but you can't really tie them to an individual or group.
