yeah agree I think the media exposure of illegal activities that will make bitcoin name to be ugly, but how else? a user is free to use bitcoin for anything right ? and we will not be able to intervene much less prohibit users to use bitcoin. I think this will continue to happen

Use it cause I won't even try, my major uses of bitcoin is just to use it in gambling and trading. Gambling sounds a little bit illegal to me but the the law cannot be enforce is we are using bitcoin which makes it legitimate. Maybe selling drugs and weapons are more considered as illegal.

that is a good point. bitcoin does not promote, because bitcoin does not care what you do with your money. also how would you want to handle this, if bitcoin is used internationally, but in different nations apply different laws. what is in one legal might be illegal in the other.

For me i could not pin point to something which may lead to illegal activities with these bitcoin but for sure scammers maybe doing such unpleasant matters, and that is considered not legal actions. If a person of other countries will use bitcoin as instrument of their illegal activities thats uncontrolled because we as a person has its own will and decision. I'm pretty sure if these people did such unacceptable acts this will not go though for long period of time and surely they will be jailed by authorities soon.

Since bitcoin is considered as money by many, then it could be used as accessory to an illegal activity, possibly a substitute to money. It's lesser hassle since if you were caught you could immediately dispose the bitcoin to another wallet or just destroy the thing that you use to transfer it and you're done, no evidence.

The legality of gambling depends from country to country so its impossible to generalize, in the subject of drugs the laws of the countries a re a lot closer to each other so you could draw some generalized arguments but even that is changing.
