Can anyone tell me what's going on with RBIES prices at the moment? Why the sudden dip?
so many things that affect the price of an altcoin. like supply, FUD, update/upgrade and other. so if you want to buy or hold altcoin, dont forget to check ann and other news crypto related. I understand in general how altcoin trading prices work, but I was asking about Rubies in particular. I know that BTC prices have an effect on altcoin prices, but RBIES took a dip to 3XXXsat, and is still there, and I was wondering if there was a reason for it. As no one seems to have a definitive answer, nvm; may just be the most opportune time to pick some more up No worries, Rubies is a bit over two months old, in time money will flow in as the ecosystem for it's use unfolds. Sometimes good things and solid development take longer than anticipated but I can assure you and everyone it's happening. One of the key developer's needed to accomplish two of the largest foundation efforts for Rubies was on vacation for a while, but has since returned and is in full coding again. Just a matter of time and we will help create the demand along with all community members.

I wouldn't worry about price much right now on any altcoin. BTC is starting to get some FOMO effect going on. It's very likely to pump quite a bit leading up to the halving, and that means money leaving alts while it does. It will be back after the halving, no worries. Take the opportunity to double up your holdings.

Hi RBIES price is now dropping at yobit, i think your signature campaign is the reason why. Do you find any other way to lessen the dumping? If its natural well we must buy now while its cheap

Yobit has not been the place to trade rubies anyway mostly livecoin and ccex as few bigger traders trust yobit. Look at price and support on other exchanges it's easy to see. My friends and I put 9k rubies on Yobit 8 weeks ago on the free coin section it was gone in 10 hours and should have lasted days I personally wouldn't trade there.

Need more buy support from more traders now.... we have a good coin here let bigger fish see it.

My wallet at the moment only shows "two active connections" to rubies network but they usually are/were at least 10-11 connections.
I didn't make any change to may PC and wallet settings nor I ever created a conf. file because I never needed to.
Is it a general issue or it's just me? Do I need to create a conf. file or add nodes and stuff like that?

No, the network seems fine. just checked and our nodes have 30 - 40 connections on each. Maybe delete your peers.dat file and restart, this will refresh the connections... Steps to delete the peers.dat file:1) Close your wallet 2) locate your application support folders (In these locations) Windows:C:\Users\<<user name>>\AppData\Roaming\rubies Mac:/Users/<<user name>>/Library/Application Support/rubies Linux:/home/<<user name>>/.rubies 3) delete or rename the peers.dat file 4) make sure you dont accidentally delete the wallet.dat file!! 5) Start the wallet up again and wait for it to reconnect. Now check the block height with the explorers. The explorer refreshes completely every 2 minutes, so you may see a little difference in block heights.

Deleted peers.dat file but now it shows 0 active connections (it's 5 minutes now): first time I experience this.
BTW: restarted the wallet not the PC.

This is a charm used to have 1 or 2 connections and also posted this issue on my post here but after following this instructions I now have 16 active connections hopefully my wallet my sync in a few days,it's been over a week that it's not syncing, thanks to this instruction should be included in the main thread..

This is for the last few repliers in the thread. If your wallet is stuck syncing or has 0 connections, you will need to re-sync fully anyway Download the latest Rubies wallet here: https://betterbets.io/app/content/wallet/Steps needed to resync:1) Close your wallet 2) locate your application support folders (In these locations) Windows:C:\Users\<<user name>>\AppData\Roaming\rubies Mac:/Users/<<user name>>/Library/Application Support/rubies Linux:/home/<<user name>>/.rubies 3) Make a backup of the wallet.dat file, store it somewhere safe 4) delete all the other files except wallet.dat and keep any rubies.conf files you may have created 5) Start the wallet and wait for it to re-sync, which might take about 20 mins Compare you results with the block explorer as that is correct to all the nodes.
