Should Bitcoin even have a future?

Now that I've gotten your attention, I promise there's a method to my madness. We've all been arguing over Bitcoin XT and (now) Bitcoin Classic while ignoring that there's a real world outside of Bitcointalk and the endless schemes to get more Bitcoin. In the grand scheme of things, it's not even really all that important whether Bitcoin stands a chance of destroying traditional banks as long as Bitcoin or whatever replaces Bitcoin if it stumbles can carve out its own niche. But we're marching toward a world where things are going to be moving pretty fast in matters that don't necessarily have to do with economics and finances, except for maybe who's going to be holding the moneybags. Is it going to be us, or is it going to be the big banks, or is it going to be some Third World tyrant who may have gotten a little too big for his britches and doesn't have a graceful way out? What I'm getting at here is, are we absolutely sure we're making all the right strategic moves to make sure cryptocurrencies have a meaningful, sustainable future instead of just being seen as a funny little gimmick that went the way of Beanie Babies in a few decades? Should we be making alliances with other up-and-coming, innovative technologies to make sure we can achieve our long-term goals? This is something we'll have to consider if we want Bitcoin to have any kind of a future.

I dont think bitcoins have a bright future because there are allot of people who dont believe in the bitcoin anymore.
And as you can see the price of the bitcoin is allready go that low with 100 dollar in a couple of days maybe i understand them now.

Bitcoin will never go back to $100 in future and if you think that bitcoin do not have a good future ahead then why are you wasting your time here, find some other way to earn money.

Well yes of course, definitely. But we have to take a few things into a consideration. Not everyone will be using cryptocurrency or bitcoin even if so hat happens that we adapt to the new digital platform

IMHO there will still be a lot of people using the paper money or it will take a lot of time, which, if you think about it, is completely a random event which highly unlikely about to happen.

I think it was inevitable because bitcoin have a reward limit or the amount of the share in mining. I don't know how many percent bitcoin already in mine but it seems to have more than 30% and will likely need a few more years until all the reward already in mine.
I don't know what will happen to bitcoin after that

If there will be a halving every year then it might even take a decade. So bitcoin will be here creating history for a long time. I dont know what upgrades could ut make but I am rooting it will be a good one in the future.

Being volatile of the bitcoin is natural because it's only depending on the users. I agree with your opinion that bitcoin needs to be more expensive so that it will catch many peoples attention and it will result for bitcoin to continue rising because many people will use bitcoin and continue buying it and making the bitcoin market to be more active than past years ago.

Bitcoin is still young and it's very open to adoption but it needs more development because there are still problems with bitcoin such as the transaction confirmation speeds. It's not very convenient for all of us but this problem will most probably be fixed.

Bitcoin is still young and it's very open to adoption but it needs more development because there are still problems with bitcoin such as the transaction confirmation speeds. It's not very convenient for all of us but this problem will most probably be fixed.

Bitcoin solves many of the problems our current currencies suffer from and introduces many other uncertainties we never had to deal with before. To speed up transaction confirmation new innovations regarding this need to be effectively addressed by bitcoin system.

Of course Bitcoin would have a future even tho the future is not decided yet it still has a future not matter what. How the future of Bitcoin is looking like is something I do not know but we will just have to wait and see what the future is going to bring us.

I too believe on this. It should have a future as long as it can. More should experience the benefits of it. Even the next generation should fully use them as their currency. Lets hope for it.

The mechanics and idea behind bitcoin will probably live on in history after its obsolete. But we will all be long gone by then.
