Yes, BTCitcoin should have a future because the whole blockchain things started with it. But I don't think it is the cryptocurrency everyone will be using in the future. Bitcoin is good, but there are things which could(should be better.

Now that I've gotten your attention, I promise there's a method to my madness. We've all been arguing over Bitcoin XT and (now) Bitcoin Classic while ignoring that there's a real world outside of Bitcointalk and the endless schemes to get more Bitcoin. In the grand scheme of things, it's not even really all that important whether Bitcoin stands a chance of destroying traditional banks as long as Bitcoin or whatever replaces Bitcoin if it stumbles can carve out its own niche. But we're marching toward a world where things are going to be moving pretty fast in matters that don't necessarily have to do with economics and finances, except for maybe who's going to be holding the moneybags. Is it going to be us, or is it going to be the big banks, or is it going to be some Third World tyrant who may have gotten a little too big for his britches and doesn't have a graceful way out? What I'm getting at here is, are we absolutely sure we're making all the right strategic moves to make sure cryptocurrencies have a meaningful, sustainable future instead of just being seen as a funny little gimmick that went the way of Beanie Babies in a few decades? Should we be making alliances with other up-and-coming, innovative technologies to make sure we can achieve our long-term goals? This is something we'll have to consider if we want Bitcoin to have any kind of a future.
Anything have future, even bitcoin. its all depend on how good bitcoin for now and past year,if people sure that bitcoin should have future, then they should use bitcoin with better wise, and then encourage developer to create more bitcoin prject.

The amount of startups being funded and also crowd funding being done to promote and develop Bitcoin linked businesses are enough proof that things are being done to build an economy around Bitcoin. When big companies like Steam and Overstock still supports Bitcoin, we will have customers wanting to use Bitcoin as a payment option.
Stop the FUD and build the future. ^smile^

Internet is real thing! I didn't have internet when I was kid, but look at this situation around us now. Baby`s use internet, kids learn about internet in schools from beginning about programing and web developing. No matter what someone do, if he doesn't have web page, mail or some other service that require internet he is not taken seriously...Internet is the future and that is a fact! Bitcoin is first alt coin, something new and unique. And how time is passing more people are using bitcoin cause it makes many things much easier. Especially for people who are always online, buy things online, gamble, or what ever... So bitcoin showed to everyone that something like that can work very good. And now we have like million other coins that try to make same thing like bitcoin did. For now everything is ok, bitcoin is making his way to top. I`m here almost 1 year, many new things happened in that period, maybe main is that price is doubled. Point is that step by step bitcoin is growing bigger. That is good strategy if you ask me. Will bitcoin have problems in future? Yes, I think even bigger then now. But that doesn't mean that bitcoin will not survive. Banks, governments, corporations...everyone wish for nice piece of a cake. That is conspiracy theory, but I believe they have it already. Something big like this cant work without support from one of them. What we can do is to hope for the best, and in that period of time to use benefits that bitcoin offer to us.

I see bitcoin, where it can be use to pay for transportation fare, buying vegetables and fruits in the market or grocery store, bitcoin remittance, pay hostpital bills and more. for the future it is very likely. but because bitcoin is not in physical form, so it may still be difficult to be accepted as payment. but I think the development of technology is already very extensive, so maybe everyone has a smartphone and to be used as payment bitcoin certainly need a smartphone.

Even if the future is not so bright after the halving, it will definitely have a good one as a lot of people and companies are already heavily invested in it. If there will be a migration going to another coin, it will be a long and slow process.

Most likely, the future of Bitcoin is, and it is quite colorful. Of course, it takes years to cryptocurrency firmly on its feet. "The development of good software is 10 years old. Get used to it "(c) Even in the process of building service infrastructure becomes clear that develops Bitcoin. Under current conditions it is impossible not to take into account the huge impact of mobile devices on the modern market of e-commerce. As Bitcoin greatly simplifies the possibility of making mobile payments, more people will learn about the system. Finally, we should remember them, that after several collapses of quotations, many no longer considered Bitcoin digital gold. Yes, cryptocurrency continues to be volatile today, but before bewail her fall in price, let's think happened there like a stock market. What about oil? Or gold? Or coal? Even mature assets fall in price due to many factors.

Of course bitcoin SHOULD have a future. I believe that it IS going to have a very long, prosperous future both as an innovation in technology as well as a good currency or payment gateway.
Indeed, there are lots of controversial decisions waiting to be made right now in the bitcoin community. But I trust the developers as well as the community to make the right choice. After all, bitcoin is working.

Chain-length technical issues aside, Bitcoin's major problem seems to be its volatility, which is encouraging holders to view it as an investment class, rather than a currency. It's hard to see how this problem will go away, as deflation is pretty much baked into it. In theory, this should just mean that there is greater incentive for mining, but afaict, mining-effort is not linear.

But the world is becoming more modern so that is perfect for the Bitcoin and it is also becoming more digital.
