Since I mine 24/7 on different places, I leave several wallets open on my desk top to receive coins.
Got in this morning and my Verge wallet with 27 network connections is out of synch.
There has to be activity on the network to keep things humming.......no blocks and  transactions take a longer  (if any are even processed)
and apparently synched wallets lose their synch.

Like to hear from Dev on this.
Here's what dead in the water looks like....that's last 24 hour  normal block rate going to virtually zero

Its not the wallet that is the problem. The network has not found a block in over 7 hours. That is because someone with a huge amount of hashing power is holding the Verge network under siege. Your wallet won't sync until the network awards a block. Someone is obviously trying to manipulate the price of Verge. The difficulty code is not right in my opinion as it still should be giving a block out every now and then and it is not. Devs may want to readjust this code so the network does not freeze up when there is a high difficulty.

guys relax, we're just being intimidated. our hashrate is nowhere near "dead in the water"

is only showing that blocks have stopped for the last 8 hours.

the reason for this is, someone launched a very expensive "attack" by making the network hashrate so high,

the difficulty kept shooting up. then, they dropped off the network because they couldnt afford to keep it up

so now we are mining, looking for a block with a very high difficulty, with a normal hashrate instead of a skyrocketed one.

we'll find a block shortly, and things will be normal. we are looking into changing our retarget, but for now, i dont mind that

someone spent a ton of money renting rigs from my friends at miningrigrentals lol i just think its funny that they couldnt keep it up

(maybe viagra would help)

ps: if people mined more and spread the hashrate out, things like this wouldnt happen

hmmm, so reading all of this, seems like a great time to buy up some more price is lowering due to limited liquidity (due to current diff). people panic sell, we all grab it up, and watch the price jump when the block is found and network levels back out easy money

a ton is an understatement.. and if its ever to happen again, it would cost a ton, again too lol

Poloniex is friend zoning us. We have to stop talking about  it. That I called nexting.

Who ever it is is wasting a ton of money. They could be making a thousand dollars an hour hashing at that rate. Instead they are not making a penny. They are out at least 8000 dollars. They must be trying to drive the price of the coin up but it can't go up because the network is locked up. What they are doing is senseless and it won't work. Now I guess that who ever it is is gone but the network is still stuck and won't give out another award block. Can developer put in a manual reset to get difficulty to drop?

i just threw some extra hash on the network, so we solve this block faster. id suggest anyone who wants to get things moving back to normal does as well.

theres a miningrigrentals link in our OP, use our referral if you dont have an account but would like to sign up for it. it's easy to rent rigs online, hardly any work required.

Yeah Poloniex is definitely doing something.. which is not irritating in the least.

I have been told that the perpetrator is off the network but it appears that until someone finds a block the difficulty won't drop. Hmm hope someone finds one soon.
