We need visual comparison between the "so called" leaders of anonymity. Like an infographic or something.

Let's spell it out - obviously it needs to be done those who do not understand know no better. Lets educate the wider Crypto Community.

Can someone draw a rough sketch of what the info graph would or should look like? I might be able to get it done if so.

You can pm me the sketch, so no one has to look at your ugly drawing also :-) j/k

That's great. First thing to understand is how Tor and I2P entirely work that's key. Then understand how Cryptocurrencies (For ex. bitcoin) work I don't mean the encryption part but the path it takes and how it does it. Then demonstrate how Verge makes it possible to extend that kind of deepweb privacy into a crypto coin. There are hundreds of videos on Tor and I2P and on how Bitcoin protocol works the only part dev needs to explain maybe is how Verge does its thing. Any doubts you could get into a Q&A session with dev and clear things out. Explaining all the pros and its unique.

Here you have a smart contract coin which shares users sentiment (bets) and how it becomes something when used explanative language.
http://youtu.be/yegyih591Jo

Here another one Its a decentralized datastorage coin. It makes me want to upload stuff  Cheesy
http://youtu.be/RdGH40oUVDY

Those are all btw service coins.

Verge in the other hand is a currency coin if we can put it that way it's ultimate goal is to intermediate exchange of goods and services but so that the currency holder and his wallet are kept undisclosed at all times. In there you got a handful of currencies that want to be used so they make all excuses to tell those who are privacy centric that their currency is also very safe which is a false statement. All n all Verge is in the best possible spot possible 1st it's a currency 2nd its private

I'm not going to let this die out. I think this is a very crucial element that needs to be addressed and clarified for the masses. If I had the means to make a cool diagram then I would. Is anyone working on this?

Okay i´m very confused  Huh to many informations.

Can someone tell me what is going on in the VERGE community?

- New goals to reach?
- What is with poloniex?
- Other important stuff?

-New goal should be some kind of diagram illustrating why Verge is better than other coins claiming to be anonymous. At some point DEV will do all that he can do. It's up to us as a community to continue advertising Verge and make it understood by the masses.

-All we can do is wait.

-I think DEV is still working on some wallet stuff.

I believe its "unique" because corporate ties to it (wolf in sheeps clothing)

Crypto never was meant to be corporations play thing or puppet. IMHO

Hey,
I just noticed the newest version of 'coinomi' multicoin wallet for android, has a beta DogeD wallet! obviously they'll have to update the name to the new XVG, but im going to be testing a small deposit to be sure it gets to the mobile wallet properly.

I only bring this up because for some reason I get a -505 error when attempting to download the official XVG wallet from play store (nexus 5 6.0.1), but kinda neat to be included in such a great multi wallet Smiley

edit
Tested and transactions work great (even though its still the DogeD name, and in beta). So theres a third party wallet for VERGE aswell Smiley

So, I recently came across this egg account on Twitter that is claiming to be a bitcoin developer.

https://twitter.com/SotoshiWizz/

I'm sure someone that is undoubtedly a millionaire would spend his time searching bitcoin buzzwords and commenting on random tweets.

The corporate ties only go so far as,  the corporations acknowledging Eth per the open license agreement.  They are not going to use the public ETH block chain, nor will they be buying ETH.  They may share updates with the ETH team, but that's about it.

   But it sure sounds good...

Sorry to Stray in the Verge thread, but that hit a sore spot.  Smiley

The official Verge wallet is linked in the signature below.
I don't think Dev has put in on google play yet, or I maybe wrong?

just checked out coinomi, looks pretty nice. I've always been a little adverse to mobile wallets but may give this one a try.
just one question, how in the heck would 2fa work? You are holding the phone that you use to use it? Dumb question I know and the answer may be somewhere on their site I'm sure.

Oh, our "friend" may have visited us last night......all times are EST.Not on the scale of the earlier ones this week.

About midnight net hash went from 11,000 to 60,000 MH , eased up to 67,000 mH about 5:00 am.
Briefly dipped to a more normal 14,ooo MH.....and shot up to 179,000 MH briefly at 6:15 am.
as of about 7:00 am this morning its 22,000 MH.
Whoever they are , this may be an indication of hash power they own and the other earlier power from the last couple days was rented.
But who really knows.
Sure is screwing up our night time mining.  Roll Eyes

all hash is good hash.. when our value continues to go up, im sure we will get more steady hashpower.. instead of average hashing, then suddenly monster rigs hashing away..

i should have the verge raspberry pi soure code up today..

We need visual comparison between the "so called" leaders of anonymity. Like an infographic or something.

Let's spell it out - obviously it needs to be done those who do not understand know no better. Lets educate the wider Crypto Community.

I agree with this. Even though DEV and some others who are active here understand what i2p is, most people don't. People hear i2p tossed around and they don't truly understand why or how it could possibly be more anonymous than TOR. Furthermore, when people hear that Anoncoin is on the i2p network they don't understand how Verge could possibly be more anonymous.  I don't think people want to accept at face value that Verge is truly anonymous; they want to understand WHY it is a truly anonymous coin. This is something that could be illustrated in some kind of diagram or chart.
I also agree. maybe we need to explain to people why their anonymous coin is actually not anonymous. Cool and they have been sold a lie.

FWIW: Monero is working on I2P integration on the protocol level too:

https://github.com/monero-project/kovri

http://podbay.fm/show/1032156854/e/1451151298?autostart=1

https://getmonero.org/design-goals/

They are working on it. But have a look at XMR price, is that justified, when Verge already is anonymous.

If this was mentioned before I must have missed it. Can you elaborate on the plan for this a bit? I have a pi sitting around doing nothing and was just thinking yesterday that I needed to come up with something to use it with.

this proofs that VERGE is on the right track and concerning the technology in a leading position.
imo this means that XVG price inevitable is going to rise - at the latest when new users come in,
because who wants to pay expensive prices for anon coins when you can get the Mercedes of anon with a big discount? Smiley  Cool
