Some just wont see the correlation between btc and the whole market and bail out of verge because they think its only verge. If you ask me these people don't belong to crypto
BTC at its highest before Christmas $19K today $6.3K BTC is a third of its value.
XVG at its highest was about 0.26$ today it is $0.024 XVG is a tenth of its value.

Where is the correlation if the comparison is against cold hard folding?

when btc drops, a lot of people cash out their alts to save losses, and alts end up going down more than btc. it's been that way for years.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

What did you really imply, Dogedarkdev?
I guess what you meant is it's better choice to sell all altcoins and save money in Bitcoin to reduce losses during long downward trend.
Nevertheless, doing this might lead to unavoidable chances to accumulate more altcoins at their dips.
Could you explain a bit more about your ideas, please.

Every new person should understand this drops because of course, it is a very good buy chance for investors whenever the price of altcoin is going down. Buying both the bitcoin and altcoins are always good when they are dropping.

Buying at dips are best strategy in crypto market.
Unfortunately, most of investors can not keep their patience for a long period and usually buy at highs, not at dips instead.
Consequently, they often get losses instead of profits.
Anyway, I agree with you that it is perfect time to buy both bitcoin and altcoins.

I think this is a great time to buy a verge, still convinced the verge will experience a price increase of at least 10% of the current price

10%???  Huh

Price right now: $0.0319  Undecided
+ 10%: $0.00319  Shocked
= $0.03509  Lips sealed

nothing is weird and it is fair to think if today the price of the verge is 0.0000045 then if it becomes 0.0000049 it is very possible

You didn't understand my intention and it's actually my vault to be honest.
I'am actually with you on that prediction.
After the first time ever Digibyte has a better price than Verge someone should be happy even with 10%  Lips sealed

In the real world you should always be happy with 10%. People who invest stock markets call a year with 10% plus a successful year.

Meanwhile priced dropped another 10%.  $0.028160 USD (-10.93%)

Same for all other coins. This is going to be a very tough confidence game that only the strongest hands with the smartest choices can win Wink

You call it FUD, but when I asked the question, time stamps for the blocks being mined were appearing out of sequential chronological order:

When I look at block explorers for other coins -- ZCash, Bitcoin Gold, Zen Cash, Ravencoin, etc.  None of them have this issue.

Seems to me that the hack is still ongoing, the hackers just aren't taking complete control of the network.

Various responses...

is the proper number of coins being found in the timeframe?  (thats somewhere, you look)

with the diff Algo's  there was some built in drift for time.  (which was mentioned before....)

Meanwhile, after the initial problem, there is a new codebase being worked on.  Also mentioned before.

So, might as well wait for it.

I forget the number of coins per hour thats designed to happen.
Find that out, and mention that, so we can get a real idea.

Per the black paper, there is supposed to be a block every 30 seconds, or two blocks per minute.

2297509   Wed, 27 Jun 2018 02:39:21 GMT
vs
2297478   Wed, 27 Jun 2018 02:26:27 GMT

is 31 blocks in almost 13 minutes, where we would expect 26 -- an extra 19%.

Pornhub to Accept Tron’s Cryptocurrency, Whose Founder Just Bought BitTorrent

Didn't XVG have exclusivity with PornHub?

What's the point of paying them millions if they're just going to accept every other shitcoin?

Verge and Mindgeek partnership was a joke for a lot of people and didn't take Verge to the moon as a lot of people expected either.
To date, It doesn't make any considering volume transactions for Verge and I see new partnerships forming almost every day now.
Things still moving along, besides the low price, which isn't different from a lot of other cryptos since January.
And who gives a f*** if Tron and Zencash will be accepted by PH along with Verge at this point? 3 porncoins instead of 1 now?
So be it.. Verge to $1 in 2018, not a possibility.....Just a fact. Happy trading to all.

I also found this pretty weird.

the comments in the article indicate the PH will be utilising XVG, TRON and ZEN.

Wasn't Verge supposed to be exclusive to PH? I think its great that more crypo currency's could be adopted here, but damn it would have been great to know that before purchasing verge proir to the announcement.

however from the articles comments:

This article should be corrected, as tron has no such partnership. I would imagine that the team at Mindgeek have already contacted you, or will.
Verge Currency XVG is the only cryptocurrency partner with Pornhub currently, and it is an exclusive partnership.
This report is inaccurate and only hurts a large Verge community, as well as cryptocurrency credibility in general.
Thanks, hope to see a correction soon.

EDIT// and then there is this.. sigh

That looks like a really random collection of coins, though. I mean, XVG, TRON and ZEN, but no BTC/ETH/XMR? Looks really weird. Not that I suspect anything fishy, it's just… well, weird.

I was a bit surprised when I found out that despite the fact that Verge acquired its crypto currency only in the last couple of months, it was developed back in 2014 and originally it was called Dogecoin Dark - it's a mixture of Dogecoin and DASH names, and only two a year ago was renamed Verge.

also, we rebranded in 2016, not a few months ago.

you're wrong. we have a time drift that allows up to 5 minutes. i checked this today after i saw this post.
2pm EST - block 2301739
9pm EST - block 2302514

775 blocks in 7 hours, 110.7 blocks per hour (out of 120 per hour rule)

you cant sample a 14 minute period and make assumptions.

I was a bit surprised when I found out that despite the fact that Verge acquired its crypto currency only in the last couple of months, it was developed back in 2014 and originally it was called Dogecoin Dark - it's a mixture of Dogecoin and DASH names, and only two a year ago was renamed Verge.

you didn't know that? our old github is here: https://github.com/doged

also, we rebranded in 2016, not a few months ago.

Any comments about that pornhub clusterf**k?

That would be a more pressing issue to address rather than talking about rebranding?

If it were me, I would be really pissed off and I would be asking for the money paid for the partnership back....

well i'm sure they paid as well. the important part is we were the first and were exclusive for a few months. we also got a ton of international press from it. we even got more press from it yesterday and today.
