Great insight you have. Verge actually HAS a use case now, and it will grow into additional market sectors that now have Verge on it's radar. Hell, even Charlie Lee realized what happened and tried to steal it out from underneath Verge and was met with a fat middle finger and slapped down immediately. He must be a fanboy too. LOL

Yes, Verge does have a use case now which is helping driving its price down the drain further LOL. That is why in the past 24 yrs while the marketcap as whole has moved up and most coins are sitting in green, Verge has lost over 17% value.

You don't have even the elementary understanding of how/why/what makes the price moves. But this is exactly what I would expect from a typical dumb Verge fanboy  Grin

Buy the rumor, sell the news... guess you must have missed that lesson.

XVG is *still* up over  100% from this time last month. Once hard numbers come back, as well as the additional partners lined up and real-world use including access to direct fiat/XVG purchasing, we'll see who sits on the right side of this.

Best of luck!

I wont deny that I am a little baffled by the magnitude of fall from 1400 to 750. I expected it to be 1000 saths max.

Why are many people not seeing which is clearly written on the wall. VERGE really has made a history by enabling a real life use of the currency (A philosophy being sold by rest of the 1500 cryptos but not made feasible yet).

It will unseed ETH from number 2 position in long run. But what is happening right-now is unbelievable. Truly unbelievable. But I am HODLING on!!!

People are so stupid.
They do not see the potential.
Now come things like PoroCoin and so on.
Is Mastercard or Visa a PornoCard, just because you can pay with it on Porohub.
What can you do with a litecoin, stellar, ripple. Nothing!!
This is just the beginning.
I bought 100k coins today. :-)

I think it would be a great thing, if The VergeTeam and MindGeek would offer something like a promo like if you renew your package paying with verge, you will get a 10% discount.

There is NO renew possible with Verge, it is ONLY for the initial first signup possible to use Verge. Renews can be done ONLY by credit card. No idea how many more times i have to write that .....

Eventually at a later point this will be possible, but at current state it is not, so i would not count on whatever renew options soon!!!!

Hello friends. I've translated something from coin-hero.de!
After Verge announced yesterday the partnership with Pornhub with great hype and probably too high expectations, the founder of Litecoin spoke up and was in favor of integrating Litecoin and other currencies.

As we reported yesterday, Verge revealed the "biggest partner the crypto world has ever seen". It is the pornographic website Pornhub. However, it should be added that Verge is actually working with MindGeek, not the website alone. Mindgeek also includes other similar platforms, such as YouPorn, RedTube, Brazzers, VideoBash and Mofos.

Regardless, Charlie Lee has been involved in the discussion about the new partnership as well.
He explains that this collaboration was very expensive for Verge and that it is time for Pornhub to accept "real currencies" like Litecoin, Bitcoin and Monero.
Afterwards, he criticized in more detail that in his opinion, it should not be necessary to buy a partner, but this should happen on a voluntary basis (translated freely):

I think it's a positive development to have more places to accept cryptocurrencies. But I hope you (Pornhub) will add more virtual currencies in the future. It is relatively difficult for users to buy Verge to use exclusively for Pornhub. It is a step in the right direction, but this precedent is not a good model for getting a partnership through bribery.
It should be noted that it is a matter of course for partnerships to pay a certain amount of oblation. Charlie Lee certainly wanted to cheer up the discussion and "tease" a bit.

A short time later, TokenPay CEO Derek Capo spoke up and criticized Charlie's Tweet (free translation):

Why are you trying to cheat Litecoin as a second currency Pornhub? Did you participate in Verge's crowdfunding campaign? We donated 66.5 million XVG to make it possible. What did you do? Nothing!

TokenPay had contributed a considerable amount to the crowdfunding process, without which Verge would not have been able to achieve the ambitious goal. As expected, yesterday the price of Verge fell, after which investors took their profits to profit from the huge price increase in the run-up to the announcement. Such a development is normal and nothing extraordinary.

Despite the price drop, Verge was able to reap much praise, as this partnership provides for a real use case for which Verge is ideally suited. Overall, however, it remains to be seen whether this partnership will pay off for Verge in the long term and whether more cases will follow suit.

And to all those talking about bribery and buying the partnership!
The commercials cost!
The embedding in the payment system costs!
That is not free! Advertising costs a lot of money!
And all the work that goes smoothly! I think honestly if you look at the crowdfunding course, it was not too expensive!
greetings

Is there no possibility to renew the subscription vith verge or is there only no possibility to have an recurring (automatic) renewal. The second thing would be sure, as there is no way to make automatic payments with cryptocurrencies, like with credit cards.

Of course it would be a bad thing, if you could not manually renew subscription with verge.

I tried yesterday to manually renew, NO option for Verge shown, only credit cards, that's why i wrote NO option for renew .

Actually it is not an oversight. After i found that out yesterday i did some searches and found a comment by mindgeek about it that it might or might not be offered at a time, but not now or soon.

I was too tiered to post it here and now i'am searching for the source again.

Users can now pay for additional Pornhub features, including a premium subscription using Verge cryptocurrency but not for its recurring services.

“The volatility of crypto is concerning for subscriptions with recurring payments. As such, at present, we aren’t offering it for recurring payments, though we are in the process of working to do so… Our services have fixed prices in fiat so the value in cryptocurrency will change,” the web site’s vice president, Corey Price, said in an interview by Forbes.

In the interview i have read yesterday it was as well mentioned it won't be in the near futre, however, you get the idea that renew/recurring is NOT possible at the moment, fact!

Quote
He mentioned that they are also considering whether to accept other cryptocurrencies as payment in the future.

So far i had the impression it would be exclusively to Verge but maybe i missunderstood something somewhere.....

Where is the problem?
When it has expired, you will get a new ''
Pay with Verge and a minute later have it back!
Or not !?

I personally doubt it is like that. When you got a membership you have an activated account there, from there it is renew and/or recurring, even if it expires at some time after that its a manual renew membership.

But this has to be tested of course after 1 month when the first membership expires or the Verge Devs give some inside knowledge, but by logic it would at the current state not be possible to renew with verge, no matter if expired, manually or whatever.

The only option right now would be to make each time a new account with a new email adress to use verge.

I dont know what special kind of idiots were those who sold XVG at 740 sats today.

I STILL CAN NOT BELIEVE HOW PEOPLE CAN NOT SEE WHAT A BIG DEAL THIS PARTNERSHIP IS.

VERGE needs to brand it's untraceable technology all those VC backed coins listed over VC backed shapeshift.io have fancy names for the simple stuff they supposedly do (some have nothing at all on them).  used to mine this coin scrypt with a 3x7950 gpu rig, but by about june of last year, the asics severely outweighed me so i turned my rig into a gaming pc Wink But i will un game that rig and mine x11 or x15 or something now and support the network hash again
