Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the
subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The
subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

yup lottery main attraction is all you need a dust bet to get a huge win. however, the fact that lottery has one of the lowest probability to win, people still will flock to play lottery.

Excited to look up the news to check the result, talk with friends, dream about winning etc.

Not much can be done, since this is what is shown: Don't lock yourself out unless you are addicted to gambling or something, as that is the whole point of the lockout system. For all MoneyPot knows, this could be just an excuse to gamble more as you might not be able to control yourself. I highly doubt moneypot will help you. Maybe send Moneypot a scan of your medical bill, and they *might* help you.

Well, i really need those funds and they are mine after all, i seriously didnt expect this to happen thats why i placed it on a lockdown and used it as a "coldwallet" in a way. I understand that theres a warning there and i knew that i was putting them on hold for 2 months, but i couldnt predict my illness.

Please note that Moneypot holds a strict policy on this matter. For multiple reasons, we cannot pivot away from this under any circumstances and your invested funds must remain locked. The site clearly states "Once you submit the lock, there is no going back. You must wait the full duration before you can divest. This feature is only here to help you manage your money as a last resort and we will respect the wishes of your past-self no matter what your future-self says." and then asks for a password confirmation to double check that the user is aware of the program being placed. However, given the circumstances, Moneypot, in this one time instance, would like to assist you outside of this matter.
We have sent a PM regarding this to try and make light of this emergency situation in your time of need. From this point forward, we will not unlock any investments, even those of emergency nature, and will change the warnings and labels to absolutely inform the user of these warnings.

Moneypot should NEVER be used as a cold wallet. Just because your funds are locked in doesn't mean that they are safe. MP has control over your funds. Also, Moneypot is nowhere close to a cold wallet. They are literally a website, on the internet! A cold wallet is offline. It's better to keep your funds on a desktop wallet the Moneypot, since your computer would be less of a target for hackers. Also, if your computer was hacked, a keylogger could be installed granting them access to your moneypot account. It also is safer, as having a wallet on your computer poses no counterparty risk. Moneypot could run off with your funds. Furthermore, with a cold wallet, you can access your funds at anytime (basically).

I wouldn't say 'Never'. Just like anything out there, there are advantages and disadvantages of doing something like this. We take the security of user funds very seriously with the vast majority of funds held in a cold storage multi sig wallet. We also aggressively keep records of all transactions and log-ins of every user. Yeah, no. Never, never, NEVER use a third party service as a cold wallet. Hot wallet, fine; cold wallet, you're asking to have your entire savings stolen from you. Cold storage is cold if it's offline under your sole control. Moneypot isn't offline and it isn't under your control.

It could be that RaidBossOath referred to cold wallet to mean keeping funds inaccessible for a time. DarkStar_ and stingleword are absolutely right in the matter.

Afternoon, I sent bitcoin to my moneypot address to deposit into mp account. History shows it received it but it is not accredited to my account? It is not in any of my apps either, I have used this depositing address quite a few times and it has worked before? Could you please help? Check the other tabs of your history (e.g. withdrawals, transfers) or more relevant: "all". Normally deposits are handled in the same (database) transaction that credits your account, so it's not possible for the (bitcoin) transaction to appear but your account not being credited.

Check out gamblingsitefinder.com for a decent list/rankings of crypto casinos. Note: I have no affiliation or interest in it, and don't even agree with all the rankings ... but it's the only uncorrupted review site I'm aware of.

Woa, that is really a very huge jump. Sadly that also means that my percentage will reduce a lot and i will get less profit.
