what version of AMD driver is best ? i use Non-WHQL-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-16.2-Win10-Win8.1-Win7-Feb23 now
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Do not use Catalyst 16.3! Drops up to 30% on hasharate! You can see the warning on: http://dwarfpool.com/eth#proxy

my 390x's all do about that hashrate for me they run at 30.7 mhs on 16.2 catalyst.. ive tried 15.7.1 all way thru to 16.4.1 hotfix and seems 16.2 is the best for updated drivers.  Issue i have is with a asus 970 mobo that shares pcie lanes.. So my problem at first was getting catalyst to shut off crossfire.. if you load the 16.2 straight from scratch it seems on my system the preference section was missing the crossfire option. So it couldnt be shut off(damn these latest amd drivers are buggy!).. When i would goto the overclock settings it had the two cards linked. So what i had to do was load 15.7.1 and upgrade to 16.2 from that. ok problem fixed with crossfire option.. but i still have a weird lock up issue only present on this system.. It has 16 gb ram 8 core amd 8350 and ssd hdd..  its my home pc/mining rig.  i have 3 290x and a 390x in this rig.. I cant seem to keep this one running and it locks up at random intervals never achieving 24 hours.. I honestly think its the graphics card that i just got off ebay but i have yet the time to try them one by one for 24 hours to see exactly what it is.  Prolly start on that today.  I seen where others are having a strange lockup aswell.. i think if i can narrow this down we might be able to find the culprit.  Those of you that are having lockups.. what are your system specs?  What gpus and associated drivers you running.  Just wondering if we have any components in common that might be causing this.  Im pulling the gpu i suspect is causing the issue and will let it run today and see what i can figure out.

Great work so far Genoil. I for one really appreciate it.. here is a bit to continue work on the miner.  Im sure that even when ETH goes POS   dagger hashimoto is here to stay

Something for your continued efforts:)  Thanks  Transaction submitted. TX ID: 0x2749d27e76489cc758800c72322edfd84e743b6d47c7855319064386dab22bbf

so i think i have part of the issue nailed down.. first off i made 4 batch files to run each card in a separate instance.. And low and behold the faulty card appeared almost immediately(and instead of crashing the driver it just locked up ethminer of that card and the other three stayed running:) ).  Come to find out like another 290x i have i think someone has flashed it so that i am unable to lower the clocks using radeon settings.. (can anyone confirm that?) So to remedy this i have to lower the power % almost 30 % of the 50 % allowed before it starts to affect the gpu clock.. does this sound right?

Best Regards
Doug

Well it says unknown error. If CUDA doesn't know, how am I supposed to know? Does it just like, randomly happen?

it seems so, it happened just right now, my gpu are set to zero on the clock and mem after it happen, and i need to restart

Maybe your gpu crashed, "sick" or something.  dont overclock them as much.  if you are stock, then i have no idea.

i don't think so because my other rig was mining fine, i tried to delete the dag and see , maybe was that the reason, multiple different dag files from different coin may cause issue i believe, not sure though

Anyone not busy trying out dual-mining ETH/DCR with Claymore's new toy, please test a new 1.0.7 feature in the "107" branch: stratum failover.

Example command lines:

two completely different servers:

Code:
-S eu.ethermine.org:4444 -O 0xeb9310b185455f863f526dab3d245809f6854b4d.GTX970 -FS coinotron.com:3344  -FO Genoil.home:home -U --cuda-grid-size 2048 -E bench -R D:\Ethereum\DAG --farm-recheck 2000 --farm-retries 0

failover on same platform can reuse account creds:

Code:
-S eu.ethermine.org:4444 -FS us1.ethermine.org:4444 -O 0xeb9310b185455f863f526dab3d245809f6854b4d.GTX970  -U --cuda-grid-size 2048 -E bench -R D:\Ethereum\DAG --farm-recheck 2000 --farm-retries 0
immediate exit on failure per @miningpoolhub request:

Code:
-S eu.ethermine.org:4444 -FS exit  -O 0xeb9310b185455f863f526dab3d245809f6854b4d.GTX970  -U --cuda-grid-size 2048 -E bench -R D:\Ethereum\DAG --farm-recheck 2000 --farm-retries 0

Where can I find 1.0.7?

It's still source only, no binaries yet. I've stopped releasing beta binaries since a buggy beta was republished and spread. Moreover, I found a strong correlation between people that can build from source and trace bugs Wink. you can find the source in the "107" branch on github.

I find it strange that so many people seem to end up with corrupt DAG files. Never in one year of development have I encountered a corrupt DAG. What is it that guys you do?

Hello,

since I switched from ethminer+proxy to stratum-direct with 1.0.6, I notice with almost every new job 1-2 "zero-hashes".
Is this normal or can I configure anything better? My 24h average hashrate seems ok.
ethminer.exe -S eu1.ethermine.org:4444 --userpass (ethaddress).(miner) -G --farm-recheck 250 --opencl-device 0 --opencl-platform 1 --cl-local-work 256 --cl-global-work 16384

it's because i'm mining numerous dag hashimoto coins, and mixing it with other algo, and the gpu don't work good with the same clock with other algo, so some time these problem occur, but not sure

Nothing to worry about. In fact, if you use the native stratum, you an safely increase  --farm-recheck to 2000 or higher. You'll get more accurate hashrate display.

You get it when you the power is cut while the program is writing to the disk, or you kill the miner before it is finished to create the dag file.

May be termination/crash of miner in time of new DAG creation. As I know miner only verify existence of DAG, not the validity.

Cool, I'll try it! But how about switching back to main pool if it back alive?
