Yup its with two of them.
Coinotron is showing ~46.5Mh for the 980Tis

And just for fun I put the same miner on my gaming desktop that has a 290x and its getting 26-31

Who knows... maybe im doing it wrong.
What new miner are you using?

the hashrate is clearly displayed, you can see 40mega, 40.721.398H, if this is with two 980, it's relly bad, because my single 970 is doing 22M

what version 970 do you get 22mhs with , I have two EVGAs and an MSI and they get 20.9 , 21 and 18 respectively

You need to do P0 state trick, after that oc your memory so that gpuz shows 2000MHz. My 970's max out at 22MH, 980 at 24MH, don't have any 980ti's but my guess is they can do 26MH.

even at 26 they are still not good for ethereum, they should do something like 32 to be competitive versus 970
but they may be good at mining decred with their 80%+ in comparison to a 970

1. Why is my hashrate with Nvidia cards on Windows 8 and 10 so low?
The new WDDM 2.0 driver on Windows 8 and 10 uses a different way of addressing the GPU. This is good for a lot of things, but not for ETH mining.
What is WDDM 2.0 driver?

Is this the graphics driver ?
If so can I install a driver from 1 year ago and then will that work?

Thx

Thanks a lot for posting such informative post. GTX 970 is a great power efficient card but 7950/280x are too good if you consider the price and mining performance. I am getting around 19Mhashes in 7950 card. Thanks a lot to the community, specially genoil. Happy mining

My gigabyte 7950 1050/1400 with only 1.07 volt makes 21-23 mh/s. local work 128, global 16384
Running 60c with quiet 50% fan.

asus 7990 1000/1600@1.05v makes 45-46 mh/s, need very loud 80% fan mode to keep it below 70C (((

Anyone know how to compile this on Linux?

Yes, there is a Wiki here:
https://github.com/ethereum/webthree-umbrella/wiki/Building-on-Ubuntu
Ubuntu 15.10 works, I've tested both Cuda and AMD implementations.

Building manually is brutal and takes time and a lot of "make VERBOSE=1" tweaking.

IF YOU'RE A NOOB, USE WINDOWS

## you may have to manually install the specific version of cryptopp or edit the cmake file to allow for version 5.6.3 (the latest)

mkdir cryptopp && cd cryptopp
wget -O cryptopp562.zip http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/cryptopp/cryptopp/5.6.2/cryptopp562.zip?r=&ts=1456766520&use_mirror=iweb
unzip cryptopp562.zip && rm cryptopp562.zip
nano GNUmakefile  // add "CXXFLAGS += -fPIC" just before the make definitions
make static dynamic -j2 && sudo make install
cd ..

*Make sure you use the latest AMD or Nvidia GPU drivers
AFAIK, previous version of the GPU drivers won't work with the XServer on Ubuntu 15.10

Stop using 750ti for etherium, it is useless. Better mine decret or neocrypt with it.
Second, consider moving to win7 with 980 mining eth...

I think I compiled it correctly. Any way to see if I am using the new Ethminer versus the old one? Anyway to see the version? like Ethminer --version ?

EDIT, it says

ethminer version 1.2.0

And I used git clone https://github.com/Genoil/cpp-ethereum/

isn't 970 better cheaper and the ratio is the same or in favor of a 970, maybe you are referring to the density per rig?

Any idea why 750ti is not working with latest 1.0.4b3 on windows 7? (Tried 1.0.3 and some ethminer from suprnova pool as well)
Getting 0kh for few seconds and then driver crashes.

Using 361.75.
Am I missing some requirement?

as per i know 2gb card will not work in future. mining performance will reduce with increasing dag size and difficulties for all cards.
