any idea why the price rise such dramatic last hour? any event?

4.84% is dramatic? This is nothing but normal, everyday movement.

it has a higher high in 1 hour and i thought i missed the buy in ,i want to jump in the BSD boat but i still waiting the right price (lowest)...my judgment is to wait until  24-25 Oct (due to BTC hardfork) when most people dump ALTS and buy btc for free coins and they will come back to alts once they get their free coins. I'm i right ? any suggestions ?

If you think that a fork, especially Segwit2x, means *free coins* then you have a fundamentally flawed understanding of what is going to happen. Additionally, the (altcoin creation) fork is not due till sometime November.

I think there is another forked coin planning on distributing airdrop
the distribution will be based on btc blockchain snapshot on 25th Oct
if not mistaken it is called bitcoin gold

Finally got my wallet to stop crashing and this may be obvious but how do you unlock this wallet now to start up a masternode? 

Typically there is a simple unlock drop down from the settings but I do not see it on this version. Thanks.

I do not see a direct correlation between the BTC fork and the price of BSD in specific, therefore I must conclude that said statement is false and just purely speculative.
